This was our first time eating here, and we would both like to say how great our food AND service was. I ordered the mushroom and chicken enchiladas with rice and refried beans. Very flavorfull and just the perfect amount. Everything was perfectly cooked. My husband got a smorgasbord of tacos. He had the barbacoa, brisket, picadillo, and asada. All of the tacos were huge. Took my family to brunch Saturday. The place was jumping, but only had to wait 2-3 minutes. We had a table and chips/salsa arrived within minutes of sitting down. We ordered some queso to accompany the chips, grandson approved. I had the Migas Noretenas. Delicisous, Spicey. Daughter had tamale plate, wife had cheese enchiladas, grandson had bean and cheese taco.. Food came out quickly and was nice and hot, Really enjoyed the atmosphere and staff were wonderful. I'll start by saying that Garcia's has great food! That said, service was so bad today on several levels. We were a party of 5 and arrived at 11:15. It was slightly busy so they gave us a pager and was told the wait was about 20-30 minutes. An hour later we finally got in when they admitted they had forgotten about us. Got seated and it took 15 minutes to have a waitress arrive. 20 minutes later we were finally able to submit our order. Food arrives 30 minutes later but only for 4 people. Apparently they forgot to prepare my meal. Another 20 minutes to get my Shrimp Quesidillas which I ended up just taking home at this point. Finally got drink refills at the very end. The only thing that arrived quickly was the bill. Mentioned to 3 different staff members the problems we were having and not one person acknowledged our issues. read more

My plate was wrong and no tortillas for my husband. I finally got my plate and they gave us only 1 tortilla each. I asked the manager for tortillas - she said yes let me go get them. She never came back to our table had to ask our server again for tortillas finally got them at the end of our meal. This was our first time and for the price you pay will be our last. We've eaten there for years. Several times a week in fact. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. I'm on special high protein diet and they will even make things not on the menu. If there is something not right with food it's corrected immediately with no problem. Tortillas are made in house and they even have homemade corn tortillas. Chips and salsa are yummy. Why people like this place is a mystery to me. Flour tortillas that they charge $.50 for are legit store bought because you can smell them. They smell like mission store bought tortillas. Garcias does a great business, people waiting patiently for tables as they mindlessly stare at their phones. When you check in they give you a buzzer to let you know they have a table ready for you. I think it's a pretty nice looking restaurant, but to be honest, they put us in the "party room" so I couldn't see much. Our server was good and I think if I had ordered sweet tea she would have refilled my glass, because my brother and his wife both had sweet tea and got refills but I had unsweetened so a swing and a miss. But you're reading this because you want to know about the food. I had the cheese enchiladas À la cart so I can only speak to that. To be honest they're not that good. They were too salty for my taste, maybe the cheese they use or the brown gravy caused that. I'm realizing that people settle for what tastes good to them within a 10 mile radius of where they live. My sister in law had the chicken fajitas and my brother had the taco salad and they loved it, but they live three miles from the restaurant. The lighting is bright, yet inviting, and the upbeat Spanish music creates a vibrant, energetic atmosphere. I love that the restaurant still feels like the Garcia's we all know and love, but the modern touch just makes it bit more special. Even the glasses got an upgrade!!! Tonight, Ingrid helped me pick my meal from the three options I had in mind. She went with the street tacos, and they did not disappoint--absolutely delicious! Can't believe I'd never tried them! Of course, I had to pair them with the classic charro beans, which remain a tried-and-true favorite for me (gotta add a bit of pico de gallo to set them off just right!). Been going to this location for almost 10 years, ever since they opened. On average we go twice a month. My daughter only eats their Garcias chicken fried chicken. On 7/23/2025 around 6pm, daughter ordered her norm. She mentioned it tasted rubbery. So I cut a piece and looked at it. Wasn't pink and looked fully cook. So I tried it and yep it was a weird rubbery/chewy consistency. Told our server who would get a new one. Well the manager came by, and older female, and told us she and the cook tried the chicken and it tasted normal. Strange. But I told her no it was not tasting right. She said no it was fine and didn't want to make another one and my daughter say the say thing. We said no. We got it voided our but being patrons of this place for nearly a decade, we know how the item should taste and to say we were not telling the truth and cautious on making a new one shows how greedy Garcias has come. I took my family of 12 for my son's graduation last night and once we received our food, we didn't see the waitress until my nephew tracked someone down for drink refills almost an hour later. Sweet tea was not very sweet and unsweet looked like it was half lemonade, tasted good. Taco was about 3/4 across bottom with meat, not much else, almost missed getting iceberg lettuce. Plate had About a heaping tablespoon of avocado, tasteless until I added salsa. Enchilada was a light tan not so tasty sauce and was supposed to be cheese but not sure there was any, it was smothered in that sauce. Service was good, food was quick. The 3 items & tea was 10.99. Great food. Everything I've tried besides one dish was delicious. The staff are on top of all the drinks and foods and requests. The managers seem to be very hands on and help with most tables. Managers also come by and check how everyone is doing. The atmosphere was lively maybe a lil loud but what can you say, it's good food. . We have been eating at this location for years. Today was the first time I tried the Chipotle Enchiladas. I always eat the verdes, but this is my new favorite. The service was great. For the most part I like the food. I have had multiple issues with missing items when ordering for delivery. This time I decided to call because it was particularly annoying and detracted a lot from my meal. To my surprise the girl who answered argued with me insisting that they check the orders in front of the driver. I told her that can't be because my orders are frequently missing items. She said that is why they check the orders now because they have had a lot of complaints about missing items. I swear, this was a real conversation. I asked, does that mean my driver still has my missing items? She said, I don't know. We maintained this stand off until she begrudgingly offered to credit me the missing item. I have yet to see the credit on my statement and I enjoyed my meal that much less. Mistakes happen. Apparently a lot there but I'm an understanding guy. It's the argument that is unacceptable.
