We spent 3 nights here in August of 2026 and were delighted that we did. It's an oasis in downtown Oceanside. The staff are delightful, the resort is very will organized and well maintained. There's a locked gate to enter a very short path to Buccaneer Beach. Spaces are concrete paved and the utilities are perfectly positioned. My only comment would be that there's not much room between spaces so it's tight, but still very maneuverable. Keep in mind, this is prime real estate close to the beach, so it's expected that they need to make the best use of their acreage. Paradise is a very neat place to get away.

The facility is extremely well taken care of and walking distance to public transit which we took to the SanDiegoZoo. The bathrooms are clean, the pool and spa are sparkling and the onsite store is stocked with necessities. The laundry is open 24hours, super clean though I don't use the facilities. We will be back as soon the summer hits. Walking distance to a beachy peninsular area. Onsite cornhole, chess, & connect four are in the hang area. There are trains all day long but never found it to be a major issue. The loudest noise is the duly and diesel trucks that are onsite inside camp. You can hear the ocean mostly. Definitely will be rebooking in the summer

We were there to go to the yearly airshow at NAF El Centro but it was so nice at the RV resort we just set up our chairs and picnic on the grass by the lake and watched the Blue Angels from there. We thought for sure it would be a place we would like to be. The entrance is gated so we had to call the office to enter. We went to the office where they gave us a pass for our car. We saw the large pool, the nice exercise room, laundry and clubhouse. There were kids in the pool splashing and playing. There is Sunbeam Lake that goes past the office and some of the sites. The lake seems more than a pond as it isn't far across but it is long and runs to the road-where it is public. They say jet skis and boats are allowed-but no swimming. There are no lake sites or lagoon sites for RVs or park models unless someone sells theirs. We drove to see the various sites. The sites are gravel though not many trees. The park just seems to be missing that personal & friendly touch. Quiet is important to us after working & living out of a suitcase for the last year-so being at an adults-only park where it's quiet is very important to us. Sunbeam Lake may be nice but it didn't connect with us.

It sits right on the ocean bluff with two sides, bluff-side (oceanfront) and streetside. Obviously bluff-side is preferred, but staying on the streetside is still a treat. A few things I love about this camping experience: - They allow all forms of camping. Tent, RV, van, etc. - The site has clean bathrooms and warm showers. Just be sure to purchase tokens at the front for the shower. - Dog friendly! You can bring your pet along but they must be on leash and aren't allowed on the beach. - Carlsbad has the most captivating sunsets, and if you're lucky, you'll even see a few dolphins. Truly the most memorable 32nd birthday activity with all my favorite people.

I lucked out and found a super close parking spot in the neighborhood across the street. The beach itself was VERY short compared to sand length at other beaches so people were almost on top of each other. There was a pretty intense drop off about half way down the sand so it limited space for people to put down their stuff and lay out. I'm not sure how normal it is at this spot but there was a TON of rocks. It was way too much to be able to enter the water without having them beating your feet and ankles. My friend was bleeding after trying to check out the water. The surf was also a little intense that day so I'm wondering if that had any effect on the rock situation? This was a very clean beach with restrooms at the bottom of the ramp from the street so it did have that going for it but we decided to leave and head for a beach where we could safely go into the water that day. I'll have to come back another time to get a better idea.

The staff is warm and welcoming; if you're a frequent visitor, they actually remember your face! I think that's a nice perk for paying consumers. There's no reason for finding the downside/dark side of this place there's not a lot. The Oceanside/Northern San Diego area is pretty sweet, makes this RV resort more appealing.

Good amenities- laundry room, pool, jacuzzi, lots of families and friendly snow bird couples. Friendly grounds- maintenance staff (Gardner) Cons- really tight spots, trains over night running close with horns, really unfriendly office staff - there was an older women maybe in her 60s that told our daughter she couldn't ride her bike in the empty spots. These spots were empty the entire trip and I was able to watch my disabled son while keeping eyes on her. The woman took it upon herself to tell her ride somewhere else and not discuss it directly with us. When my husband confronted her, she told us to read our bi- laws. They were not in the bi laws. She kept going around looking for citations on campers - very miserable woman. Just know if you're going to camp here she's likely going to try to make your time miserable. Someone please take away her assistant manager push pin someone gave her. She's clearly chasing business away.
