I've enjoyed every time I've been here. All of them were with my Mexican son-in-law, and he was the one who suggested we go there. My oldest granddaughter hadn't become a burrito snob the last time we went. But even then she did insist that Mexican food be done right, and she approved of it. The customer service is friendly and attentive. They were very patient with my very young grandson. I thought it was very good food and a good value for the money. I have stopped by in Dixon I have pulled over in the parking lot. I had looked up this restaurant on yelp to look at the reviews. I was first hesitated, but then I called and asked spoke to the lady what was recommended pretty good I kept looking at the pictures and I kept seeing people going in and out so I figured this place was good. I will have to say that this place is so good that I will be going back with my wife. The food is excellent and delicious and Homemade the enchiladas were the best and the rice of the beans I give this place a10 definitely I found my Mexican spot when I'm in town thank you for your service. This review is mostly for the taco truck in Winters, which I see from their IG account is affiliated with this restaurant. We've passed this place so many times but it was never the right time to stop in until today. Hubby and I enjoyed a light 'to go' lunch of four simple tacos: two carnitas, adobada and chicken. All good and all for the reasonable price of $10. Salsa topping was on the edge of too spicy for me, but in the mouthful of other things was OK. Service was friendly and fast. On 7/27 we visited El Verduzco. When we got there we were asked to sit in table 15. Overall it was busy, (I dont eat Menudo) but my husband does. The young lady who sat us Nicely said "if you are here for the menudo we dont have any, but I can double check" my husband said "sure if you can check, as she turned around another worker came towards our table and very annoyed and angrily told me they dont have menudo anymore (with a nasty attitude). I told the young lady serving us that it was fine not a big deal; we ordered other things in the menu. Fast forward to paying: when we went to go pay for what we had ordered, the lady said "it looks like its been paid for!" We didn't know any one there so we doubted that was the case, my husband said ok, well can we pay for what we ate? Maybe they forgot to put it in. The girl had us wait about 5 minutes when she discovered no one had paid for table 14 and they had left. It was their mistake; they charged the wrong table! We didnt refuse to pay, we wanted to pay for our food but they told us we couldn't leave until THEY figured it out; I was upset, because now they were not letting us leave: not letting us pay for our food and we had to wait for them to figure out THEIR mistake! We ended up having to pay for table 14's food! Ridiculous! I would say to check your receipts/charges when you go! read more

This place a taken a big turn for the worst. Bad service, bad food. I've eaten there for years, so when I say bad I know what I' m talking about. The young man who was out waiter came to take our order and bring the food, that's it. Not once in the rest of our meal did he come back. Took 20 minutes to get oyr food and when we did it was ice cold. Now if the place was busy I could understand the 20 min, but there were 4 tables filled, that's it. This was a Saturday night. One cashier and one waiter. Cashier apologized and said the waiter was there best. She stated that business has been very slow. I'm not sure why she thought that would be some kind of excuse? I always eyed this place when I went next door to Viva and been wanting to check it out. I finally stopped in and I'm glad I did. We were immediately greeted. We sat ourselves and we're given menus. The menu has a huge variety of food. From seafood to regular Mexican restaurant food. I ordered a Michelada and boy did it hit the spot! We were given chips and salsa. The chips seemed to be store bought and not the best. The salsa was good, but not sure if it was made in house, don't quote me on this. I ordered a Crispy chicken tacos and it was HUGE and delicious. Did I mention it was huge! I think I would have been okay with the taco and enchiladas, but my faatasss ordered the enchilada combo plate as well. Enchiladas were great. Next time, I need to ask for no sour cream. The rice was good and beans were mmm mm good. Roommate got bistec encaballado and it came with grilled cactus as well. Good smelled like it was charbroiled and I love that. We will definitely be back. This might be my new spot. Glad Dixon and the Vacaville are finally has a plate with GOOD Mexican good. "Huge Portions, Reasonable Prices." Whilst I was waiting for the brewery to open down the street, I checked out this restaurant. They removed a lot of tables, for social distancing, so it's quite spacious inside. This is obviously a favorite place for the locals. I ordered the classic combination of two crispy tacos with steak. The portion is absolutely massive--It was way too much for me. I thought the tacos were tasty, especially smothered with sour cream. I'm pretty sure that makes them more healthy. I think next time I'll pass on the beans and rice. They also serve complimentary chips and salsa. This was okay, but I thought the chips were on the stale side. So all around, a pretty good visit. The servers were really friendly here as well. read more

I won't be back here. It's unfortunate, but if you don't speak Spanish they don't serve you properly. There was other people in the restaurant being severed and catered too. The waitress could have been Intimidated because it was hard to communicate with one another, due to her broken English. However that's no excuse for the service we received. Once they wrote down our order they never returned to fill up our drinks or ask if we want more salsa & chips. They completely ignored us. We waited for our bill but it never came. In the little ole town of Winters, right on the main drag on route 128 which is Grant street, you will find a taco truck. You can't miss it because on the weekends when I drive by there is always a line of people. Summer, fall, winter, spring... whatever time of the year...this truck is here and so are the customers. I finally stopped to partake in a taco. They are CASH ONLY. You can park in the gravel lot to the right of the truck and the bigger lot further right. So glad I did! The street tacos are $1.50 each. I had a cabeza and asada. The little flour tortillas were warmed on a flat griddle, nice added touch that brought out the flavor. The cabeza was flavorful, nice solid slices...melt in your mouth, not mushy. Yummy! So sorry to my fave taco truck in Woodland, but this cabeza taco rolls over yours... but you still have my vote over the salsas. The cabeza meat serving size was plentiful. Luv that! The asada taco was tasty also. They also have ice cold glass bottled Jarritos and Coke colas ... made with real cane sugar. Ya! $2. $2.50 for the bigger sized Coke's. I did an internet search, and a couple of places came up, and we decided on El Verduzco. I only read the bad reviews to see if people are being too critical or if I think there expectations to high. As usual, they were. It is a Great place! Food was above what I expected, and the service was beyond expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. This was the second time we visited this location. The first time was not very good for me but I think it was the item I ordered, both my husband and daughter liked it. Today I ordered the molcajete and it was delicious! It was full of flavor and well portioned. It had chicken, steak, shrimp, unions, avocado, nopales and cheese in a delicious red boiling salsa. The sides were just as delicious. We loved our visit. The the entire staff was really friendly and checked on us often. They don't seem restricted to tables. They are all helping all tables. Pre pandemic, El verduzco was mine and my families favorite place in town to eat, it was our go to. This all changed when i had multiple flies in my food on multiple occasions, this was early 2020 and me or my family haven't gone back since, its really sad to see, considering it was so good pre pandemic. El Verduzco is decent and I would say is hit or miss with their food. The presentation of any of their burritos "wet" is definitely eye catching. They smother the burrito in a tasty red sauce loaded with cheese. It tastes amazing and I would definitely recommend ordering your burritos wet! The carne asada burrito is my favorite at this location but again, it's hit or miss. Sometimes it taste amazing and others just not that great. They do make some of the best salsa in town, and you can take as many as your bag can carry. They have amazing service and are extremely friendly with their customers. This is one of the reasons why I always consider trying something new to see if I end up liking something a lot. My least favorite items here are their chicken flautas and the chips. The chips always taste stale, old and simply bland. The chicken flautas were one of the worse I've ever had. The chicken tasted as if it was just boiled and nothing else. read more

I have never been deliberately ignored at an establishment like this place did. 4 tables that arrived after us received their food first and they were not busy at all when we showed up. Items were missing from our orders but no one came back to ask if we needed anything the entire time after receiving our food so no chance to correct the order. Worst part was that the owner or manager (who we saw giving orders to the other 2 employees) asked tables around us if they were ok and if they needed anything but us. I truly felt discriminated. We had an awful experience while dining in. We ordered their sampler appetizer which included 2 different ceviches and octopus garnished with tomato, avocado, and cucumber. The avocado, tomato, and cucumber weren't fresh, the cucumber and tomato were soggy And the avocado had brown spots. We brought it up to the attention of our server who said she'd talk/show the owner the plate. She proceeded to take our plate back into the kitchen and didn't return our plate nor did she provide us with any other information. We paid our check and asked about why we were being charged for subpar food and food we didn't eat. She said "because the owner is here and no one's ever complained I can't take it off of the bill." Pretty delicious food and a decent spread to sit down and enjoy your meal- if that's what you're looking for. Today, however, I was looking to take some food and run. I almost skipped out on the place because it looked like it was sit-down only. Asked to take it home, one of the waitresses replied "yes, it'll be about 10 minutes though" so I sat and looked around. I'd ordered the special- a taco and two enchiladas with rice and beans for $7.25 and when it came out, I took it home on my bike. Asking for salsa, I was directed to the rear of the dining room where they had prepackaged some salsas. So I grabbed a few "hot" containers. It came out of the kitchen in a styrofoam container in a plastic bag which I hooked on to my handlebar and rode home. Expecting it to be cold by the time I reached home, I was pleasantly surprised to find that reheating the container would have been redundant- it was still piping hot. The taco was the standard two small corn tortillas with cilantro and onions topping the flavored meat. Delicious. Two enchiladas swimming in sauce (a good thing) with melted cheese on top sat next to the very well flavored beans and rice. Also delicious. Post Stebbins Cold Canyon hike, my friends and I found this along the side of the main road in Winters because there were so many people lining up in front of it - so naturally we had to stop! I ended up getting the 6 for $6 taco special, 3 carnitas and 3 cabeza tacos. The taco shell itself was a little stale but aside from that the meat was incredibly soft and flavorful - the carnitas wasn't too oily either. The meat was topped with cilantro and onion. Definitely the perfect simple street taco, without a ton of embellishments. It was pretty big portions of meat and the tacos also came with sides of sliced jalapeno, lime and radishes. I was really impressed with the flavor and quality of the food, I'm going to be back to try their "signature" lengua taco soon. Definitely a great place to stop with friendly and quick service, I'll be thinking of this place the next time I'm hiking LOL read more
