We found this place on our way to San Francisco. Traffic on 80 was a nightmare and we desperately needed some food and break from the stop and go nonsense We turned to Yelp and I want to say thank you to the community for the great advice. The employees here were all so welcoming and friendly. They sat us quickly and had chips and salsa at our table within a minute. The salsa was so good. It had the perfect amount of heat. The chips were darn good as well. We even had to have a second bowl. My tacos and enchiladas were delicious. The green sauce was flavorful. The al pastor was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The rice and beans are exceptional. I cleaned my plate. The biggest surprise was how exceptionally clean the place is. This was the cleanest restaurant I have ever seen. Hospital clean is my best description. Please give them a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

Literally can't get enough of this place! Being Mexican im so picky with Mexican restaurants but this one is AMAZING! First of all, location is great with plenty of parking options. The inside space is really nice and comfortable. The family who owns this restaurant is always so sweet and welcoming which is a huge win for anyone seeking great customer service. I recently tried this place for lunch and thought I had a nice vibe to it. It was very busy as I walked in, but we got a table right away. Service was great. The waitress kept our water filled and always asked us if there was anything else we needed. The food I would say was ok and I'm will to come back to try something else. I just wasn't really wowed by the food. iParking was a little bit of an issue. They have only street parking or you have to park around the corner. One more thing pay with cash because if you pay with a card you pay a little extra for a service fee I'm guessing. Other than that if you are in the area go check them out. A friend this week recommended Jacky's and I had already saved the restaurant to try, can't resist a place named for me (spelled differently though) so we went for lunch today (Saturday.) The restaurant has a nice interior with a vaulted wooden ceiling. There are booths and tables. We were invited to choose where to sit and were given menus and chips and salsa. We each ordered from the Lunch special section of the menu, a shredded chicken burrito for me and a three taco plate for my husband. The burrito was a good size, I could only eat a third. It had beans, seasoned rice, cheese and shredded chicken. My husband had two soft tacos and one crisp taco, two with pastor, one with carnitas. He really liked the flavor of his tacos. The waitress brought over a squeeze bottle of another salsa for his tacos. Both the salsa with the chips and this extra salsa were a bit too spicy for us. We both would have relished them years ago. When we return we will ask if they have a milder salsa, or maybe get a side of pico de gallo. I'd like to try other dishes as the plates coming out of the kitchen looked appetizing. read more

This place has really gone downhill since they first opened, especially when it comes to the food quality. When they first opened, they were the talk of the town, so we had to give them a try and at first, we understood the hype. Everything tasted great those first few visits. But after a few times going back, we started noticing the flavor wasn't the same. Each visit seemed a little worse than the last. After about four visits, we stopped going altogether. Today, we decided to give them another chance, hoping things had improved but unfortunately, it was a letdown. We ordered a super burrito, a kids plate, and carne asada fries. The burrito was mostly rice and beans with barely any meat. The fries were soggy, and the carne asada lacked any real flavor. Overall, it felt like a waste of money. The food, the ambiance, the service and as well as the servers were a 10/10. From the greeting when we first walked into the restaurant and the seating was great. Olga and the other ladies were always checking to make sure if we okay or needed something. I told them that was our first time visiting Dixon and that we wanted to eat real authentic Mexican food. It was beyond delicious!! I celebrated my birthday dinner there, and boy was it worth it. The servers surprised me with singing Happy Birthday to me which made it even more special. The service is amazing here as soon as you come in they greet you and make you feel at home, very warming place. Let me tell you this, the Food was amazing and very Authentic reminds me of my mother's own cooking it just was so delicious especially the nachos as an appetizer and my wet burrito. Their sauce and chips amazing as well! This review is not about the service or even the ambiance. I think Jacky's does a great job in attending to their customers and people are greeted with warm smiles. However, in terms of taste for my scale, they do "ok". The salsa is definitely the hottest in the Dixon area, which is great. But it lacks depth and it feels like there could be more flavor behind the sauce. I've ordered a burrito and more recently had some tacos. The meat is not seasoned well enough to my liking. Maybe my palette is a bit on the saltier side of things. My review is very subjective because I've had really good Mexican food in the Bay Area and in SoCal. The food is great here and so is the atmosphere BUT I have now come on 5 different occasions, one time with family from San Diego after talking up how great their food is and they have been closed, twice during lunch and 3 times for dinner the most recent last Wednesday (10/22/2025) the night of farmers market. I even asked them after the attempting to bring my family and they said they were closed on Tuesdays, I recommended they update their hours which they since have however, I have come on a Wednesday night and Thursday night as well and they've been randomly closed. Highly recommend Jacky's Mexican restaurant food is very authentic and delicious. Service is 10/10 the owner Olga is super sweet, welcoming and very attentive. My hubby and I usually dine there 2-3 times per week. We can't get enough of their food. My son LOVES their chicken soup and they make sure he always gets it even when he doesn't order it. He says it reminds him of my mom's homemade soup mind you we are a military family and we don't get to see her much. My hubby loves their mango margaritas and gets to watch his favorite sports. finally a good Mexican restaurant in town.
