    Guava Margarita
    Tashelle W.

Two work colleagues and I are in Mount Shasta for an event. We wanted to try a spot that has Mexican food, and Casa Ramos was recommended. First, the service was excellent. We had Amelia and she was very helpful with recommendations for food, and she was willing to split our checks for reimbursement purposes. Don't hesitate to ask for her if you are in town or a local. The ambience was very family oriented, with a lot of photos of family members. Now for the food... we all loved our food so much. I got chicken flautas, one colleague got tortilla soup and the other got a tostada. We all really enjoyed what we got. Everything was fresh and very flavorful. I got a guava margarita and my colleagues each got a beer. I have to say the guava margarita was so delicious. I was offered a salt rim, sugar rim, or a rim with tajin, but I was boring and got it without any of those options.

The service was so genuine! Everything came out on pre warmed hot plates. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options! (Even they have the American style dishes like hamburgers.:)) The margaritas were both refreshing and surprisingly affordable! The patio is dog friendly‼ With its warm, welcoming atmosphere and great value, this restaurant is definitely a gem‼

    Thumbs up

This place is SOOOOO SO IS SO good i love this place don't listen to the 1 stars this place is a staple in mount shasta i've lived here my whole life and have never had a bad experience. Delicious. The one star reviews are from self entitled white people who thinks salt is spicy. I'm also white. But that's okay. Cause salt=. Frick the haters yummy yummy yummy I love this place i like the chili popper things their mexican pizza is the most wonderful thing my tastebuds have gotten the absolutely pleasure of preserving: heavenly. also the seats are cool. ooo and the birthday hats they bring out on your birthday is pretty much a tradition in my family. i've never had a bad thing there

So first of all Angelito was the best server ever. He was super attentive and friendly. I'd give him 5 stars for his service. The jalapeño margarita was absolutely huge and for $13.99 was an amazing deal. Their picadillo(shredded pork and beef) was absolutely amazing with such an amazing flavor. They are also dog friendly as they allow pets on their patio.

Great service and delicious food served on a beautiful patio! Generous portions on everything from food to drinks make this a great spot for lunch or dinner after exploring the area and building up an appetite!

Ok wow! This is NOT a 3.5 star restaurant. Shame on anyone who gives less than 5 stars. We experienced nothing but amazingness. The margarita's were on point! I took my second back to the hotel to go. I would drive 4 hours from home just for your margarita's! ‍ The food was amazing! Our server Angel was super attentive, accommodating and had great recommendations. He even asked if Jimmy (our dog) would like water. Thank you sir. We just got done backpacking some of the PCT today, and we wanted a treat for dinner coming back into civilization. Thank you so much for a very pleasant evening. 10/10!

Mexican food in shasta downtown. We ordered multiple vegetarian dishes & they were overall average. Considering limited vegetarian options this was not bad. The guacamole, rice, beans were nice.

5 stars for fish tacos, 1 stars for the bland vegan fajitas. Overall 3.5, rounding up to 4. Fish tacos were great - well cooked, juicy and flavors were well balanced. Got them on corn tortillas with a side of beans and Spanish rice. The spicy salsa was epic. Loved it, incredibly spicy and delicious!! The vegan fajitas were just steamed veggies without any spices or flavor. Just bland mess. Skip it unless you want to eat just plain ingredients vs eating a dish. Food was ready quickly and pretty fresh.

We had tried to go to another restaurant and they never came to take our order, so we drove down the street and found this GEM! Really good food, excellent service and nice place! Everything was delicious and really hot as in temperature! Glad we stumbled on Casa Ramos it's a great Lil spot! Nice decor too

I was looking forward to Mexican food, but not at the prices there. Almost $50 for fajitas for two.

We wanted to make reservations for dinner on a Thursday but no one answered the phone. We decided to head over to the restaurant a few minutes before we planned to dine with friends only to discover they weren't open and a hand lettered writing on the door said they were closed Thursdays and Sundays. We did return the next evening, now knowing that they would be open on Friday. The restaurant shares an entryway with a popular bar. It was amusing watching people enter the main door and then turn one way or the other to enter a business, only to realize they want the other door. I saw a few families with little kids start towards the bar and then turn to the restaurant. Groups in motorcycle jackets did the reverse. A signboard at the entrance to the restaurant invites customers to choose a table and then help themselves to chips and salsa. My husband and I split an entrée and it was more then enough for the both of us. Portion sizes are generous. The food was very good. Much better than Casa Ramos or Puerto Vallarta. If you want Mexican food in Mount Shasta, stay away from those chains and go to La Perla for a much better meal at reasonable prices to boot. We enjoyed the background music, with songs from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, The Proclaimers.

My husband and I shared a combo platter and I requested no avocado but substitute extra sour cream, not only were they accommodating but the service at this restaurant is very friendly and makes every effort to make sure that their customers are satisfied with the service and the food came out hot and delicious and just as we had ordered. Portion size was really good and the flavor was on point. Love to the decor and everything looked fresh and well decorated to make for a wonderful atmosphere. We had the combo plate which we selected a shredded beef chimichanga, chicken enchilada, refried beans, rice and I requested substitute extra sour cream for the guacamole.
