I'm not sure how I saw it but we had to stop as i was traveling with my parents that are elders. At first it was slow but then when you begin to pay attention to the menu. Dad went for the steak dinner w black beans and fried bananas with sour cream. I asked for 2 mixta popusas. Mom ordered the fried mojarra with homemade tortillas and my favorite "ensalada de frutas" omg u got to try it. Dad ordered coffee. It was a feast and the steak was perfectly seasoned perfectly cooked. Everything was delicious and my parents were impressed! We shall return. Sorry no pictures we inhaled our meals. I eat here almost every other evening. They make the best chicken soup, also known as " Caldo de Pollo" or "Sopa de Gallina" hands down. Everything is cooked fresh on the spot, not frozen like at many other places, and you can really taste the difference. The chicken seasoning is perfect, and the rice is always delicious. I usually come here about three to four times a week. The young lady who serves me is one of the best and always friendly, attentive, and consistent. I do not recommend this place, the woman, who I believe was the owner, is rude and shows contempt for her customers. First, she acted like she didn't speak any English and after a few failed attempts at communicating with each other, she finally asked me in English if I wanted to order something. I ordered 4 Pupusas that cost $12- the price was definitely not worth the hassles. The experience never got better, after waiting around 20 minutes for my food, I asked for extra cabbage because I only got 1bag for 4 pupusas, she went to the back and what I got was the same amount of cabbage divided into 2 bags instead of the 1 it originally came in. The food lacked the real authentic Salvadorian flavor. Every time I try a new Salvadorian restaurant I always order pupusas, pastelitos, ensalada the fruit drink not a salad, and atol de elote. The pupusas lacked flavor and they did not use Salvadorian cheese which gave them an awkward taste. The pastelitos were too soft and soggy instead of crunchy and the stuffing was so plain. My ensalada drink only had apples and way too sweet. Where's all my other fruit??? The atol de elote was very sweet and had no maize! What??? elote means corn!!! I always like to try new Salvadorian restaurants because there are not many close to my house, but sadly I won't be coming back here. read more
