My husband had been wanting to try the pescado zarandeado for a while because of all the social media hype, so we were excited to finally come in. The atmosphere was great, and the service was just as good--everyone was attentive and welcoming. We started with the oyster shooters, which were flavorful . For our main dishes, my husband ordered the pescado zarandeado, and I ordered camarones a la diabla (not officially on the menu, but they were kind enough to offer, their menu offers a habanero shrimp ). Everything honestly tasted amazing, we were really impressed with the flavors and overall experience while dining. However... shortly after, we both ended up getting violently sick. We believe it may have been from the oysters . I personally spent two days with severe vomiting and an upset stomach, and it took about three days to fully recover. This is just a heads-up to the restaurant to double-check oyster sourcing and temperature handling to ensure safety. Came here on a recent weekend to dine with a friend and while the restaurant was busy, there was plenty of seating available and we were accommodated quickly. No matter what I put on it, lime, salsa, beans, rice, anything, just bland. I'm glad we tried this place but we won't be returning. I originally saw this place on Instagram and decided to try it out with some friends. They have a separate bar area that's decorated really cute and has a different aesthetic from the main restaurant. The servers were very attentive and gave great recommendations. My friends ordered drinks (can't remember the exact names), but they had dragon fruit and watermelon flavors, super yummy. They were a little on the sweet side, so if that's your thing, you'll love them. For food, we ordered the shrimp aguachile and the sauce was delicious, we even asked for some on the side. I want to start off by saying that I had such high hopes for this place due to the influencer reviews I've been seeing on IG. I was looking forward to trying this place and brought my dad for his birthday and it was a big mistake. I want to start off by saying the place has a really good ambiance and the interior design is really nice. However, the service and food left so much to be desired. Almost every dish ranges from $24-35 and in this economy, that is pretty fair if you get what you pay for. Every dish that our family members ordered was average at best and really made me question whether the food or serving was worth the price tag. For the guests that ordered the mojarra, neither family members finished their food because the fish was extremely dry. I ordered the "camarones tiki tiki" and was told that they were cooked in a buttered paprika sauce and literally got a shallow bowl of 8 shrimps in what tasted more like paprika water. We ordered a soup for the kids and asked for the broth to be mild and instead it felt like the broth was not boiled properly since you could taste the soup base. Service was not what we expected from a place like this...we had to ask 3 different waiters for waters all around. There were seven people in our table and in the end we only got 4 waters. Each family member got their plate brought out at different times. Normally this wouldn't be problem, but unfortunately, the dishes all came out so far apart that the majority of the food was cold by the time we got the last plate brought to us. We even had to ask 3 different waiters in regards to the last plate because there was no sign of it. Overall, our family was disappointed with the experience. I wanted to talk to a manager, but I didn't want to make my dad's birthday dinner worse. I really hope this restaurant tries to better the experience for everyone. Let's talk about what really matters, the food and service. It's a toss up if the food is good then Gabby is great! Her awareness and demeanor made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our meal knowing that we were well taken care of(drinks never going dry, ensuring our needs were met as well as making sure the food was to our liking). The fish was cooked perfectly and the rice is a strong reminder of how it was made at a staple restaurant from my childhood. I've had several menu items here without enough time to take a photo. The rice that was on the side was pretty well-seasoned, but I don't think I would order this dish again. The Ribeye Steak & Lobster had a nice smokey flavor, but steak was cooked medium when it was requested to be medium-rare. We came here for a company holiday party with a count of about 15 people. The restaurant was empty to our luck. It gave me a chance to shamelessly gawk at the beautiful decorations and set up.
