Really sold on this place. I went to see Julie this week to get my hair cut before I start a new job. She's awesome, and really went above and beyond expectations. I have curly but fine hair and it gets sooo dry. She did a deep conditioning treatment, did the cut I wanted, taught me about how to keep my curls from drying out, and gave me some extra product she had for me to use at home. My hair looked better than it has in years when I walked out! She was also so nice to talk to, as was Brianna and the other client in the room at the time. The price of service was on par with others in the area - I just moved here from the Midwest, so everything feels expensive to me! Both stylists are very familiar + comfortable working with curly, biracial hair. In my early 20s I used to get my hair dyed all the time but then I realized that I actually really like my natural color and stopped doing that. Lately I've been feeling like I needed a change, but cutting my hair short didn't quite do it, so today I found myself in Brianna's studio in Pasadena getting balayage:) I was extremely nervous because I didn't want to end up with too harsh of a contrast, I wanted to keep the natural look but make it a tiny bit brighter. There are plenty of examples out there of balayage done right and, well, not so much. Brianna's reviews are all 5 star for a reason.
