Quality/Quantity - I was (am) a Caesar customer like since forever. This was actually one of the first brands that I joined the loyalty member program. And till this day, I am still a member. But I have not been very active for years. Well locally, I frequent GSR; see other reviews. Today we came for the Biggest Little Latin Festival; see other reviews. It was just okay; I wanted and expected more. And of course, NO happy hour at Brew Brothers on a Friday; another let down... Might explain why they did not have many customers today, even with an event happening. Ambiance - Still a nice casino. I really appreciate and like that you connected the 3 casinos without us having to go outside. Nice to have this event indoors as it is weather proof. Not sure if this helped or hurt your event...? Oh, your advertising could have done a better job explaining exactly where the event was being held. 815 rooms. The casino can use some updating. Too many businesses/restaurants were closed, so limited dining. More of a weekend night life scene...? Service - Self service today. Price - N/A. Well, my wife did support the vendors at the event. I just love staying here when I'm in town. They put me up for up to four days at a time for just a resort fees. I always picked the 25th floor because it has the highest ceiling. The casino always pays you pretty well enough to stay gambling without feeling like a loser. Sometimes I hit sometimes I don't, but I just love the staff and the parking is so easy I could go on and on. Out of the three between the circuit circus and Silver Legacy that it's my absolute favorite. The value for the money is just out of this world when I have to come in town great place. read more

Things are different in Reno. They really need to step up - it's the clientele - the hotel needs a bit of an updating - they allow smoking in the rooms- I asked for non smoking and I got - smoking - we left and they gave us a new room - the desk person was very nice and helpful- The room was clean and it was easy in and easy out. I like the little cafe downstairs by the elevator . They have the best- the best bakery with good coffee and the kids who work there are very nice. When I go to the row- I always go there . The three casinos are connected and the food is decent in between the hotels. I'll come back - the parking in eldorado is hard - but manageable - 8 floors . So you can find parking . read more

El dorado Casino is extremely smokey, ventilation is terrible, and slots are tight. There's no need to waste your money here, just pick a different casino that's not on the row instead. read more

HORRIBLE... Get this the room faces other rooms on both sides so if my drapes are open EVERYONE in those rooms can see right into mine and vice a versa so unless fully dressed curtains are closed. There is no security bar/lock on door, hot water is mildly warm at best, outlets are worn out to the point my straightener keeps falling out, no headboards so my head was on the windowsill tangled in the curtains!!! As for Gordon Ramsey fish and chips to much batter, couldn't taste fish filet through it and SOOO over priced. For 3 pieces of small filet, 2 shrimp and a lemonade $40!!!! Twice now I have encountered hotels I have criticized on Yelp somehow being able to offload the review to some kind of satellite page. So, like I did in the first instance, here is a review of the El Dorado Casino written on 7-29-18, placed back on its main page. --- Time for a downward adjustment of the El Dorado's rating following our most recent visit, which will likely be our last one. I booked and paid in advance for a "Superior King" room, but that didn't seem to matter much to hotel management. My wife and I were placed instead in a room with two beds after being informed that the room I reserved wasn't available. The desk clerk claimed the beds were both kings. That was a lie -- they were significantly smaller than that, probably queens. The mattresses were old and sank on contact like 70s waterbeds. I had booked a "non-smoking" room, but the one we walked into had clearly been smoked-in. I hope the guilty party paid the threatened $250 cleaning fee, even though whatever cleaning actually took place didn't work. On to the bathroom -- the sink had hot-and-hot running water; the bathtub drain was clogged, turning showers into footbaths; and we were treated to the sound of the guy next door to us repeatedly blowing his nose. The elevators were an extra-special treat. The floors were strewn with debris, one car smelled like someone had recently consumed pizza and beer and then cut loose with a spectacularly hairy burp, and another car emitted the distinctly unwelcome odor of poopy pants. One note - the connected properties of the El Dorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus are now being marketed as "The Row." Um, this is Reno -- it's more like Skid Row. read more

Horrible customer service- Alana at the front desk has the personality of a corpse and is super unhelpful Whole place stinks We had to move rooms 3x, was promised a "premium" for the trouble and it was just as "meh" as the room before that was covered in dirt and garbage. Ain't NO way should the prices be comparable to anywhere, but the Ramada or motel 6 ! Now at 11 PM there is some rave outside of our room, just kidding it's just 1 car with some obnoxiously loud speaker, shaking our windows on the 19th floor and my kids have softball games in the morning and need to be up by 5... 11:40- music has only gotten louder... Room was clean & comfortable, if somewhat tired & outdated. Very friendly service. The elevators, however, were wretched. There was only 1 working elevator in the parking garage, which is awful in a busy night. But in the hotel itself, there was also only one functioning elevator. For a busy hotel casino on a weekend, it made for a frustrating stay. Also, I couldn't figure out how to check out if the room on my TV - I thought ALL big hotels did that now. Additionally, on the mezzanine shops, food was ridiculously expensive. I shouldn't have to spend $40 to get fish & chips! Feels like price gouging because they have a captive audience and they count on that. So, the good: clean room & friendly service. The bad: those wretched elevators!! At the start of my 2 day stay they charged me 40 bucks for early check-in. Our room was booked on the 10th floor and as soon as you got off the elevator the entire floor was sweltering hot. When we got to our room it was hot as well so we turned the AC down to 68 it was still hot then to 60 and still hot. I called the front desk to complain and I got hung up on. So my husband and I went to the front desk to complain about the AC not working. They gave us another room which the AC worked but our room smelled like cigarettes mind you we have two kids. Before we transferred rooms, my husband and I decided to go down to the casino for an hour. I got a phone call from the front desk asking us when arw we going to move out of our room to the new one. He said cause it's been an hour and he's going to put someone else in the room(he was very rude) . How could they put someone else in that hot ass room? During the night you cousin hear the doors slamming all night, in thr moening around 6am the cleaners were hella loud. We booked for 2 nights we only stayed one and we mind eating the cost for the other night. We wanted to get the hell outta there. Never again read more

Mid-range casino in Reno, currently part of the Caesars brand so you can accumulate membership points for your stay and all hotel/casino related charges such as dining and casino play. Rooms were clean and decent. With the typical fridge, coffeemaker, and TV. You can get daily water for your coffee or tea too. If you order room service from any restaurant downstairs or next door, just note that they tack on $15 and 15-20% service charge to deliver food to your room. Otherwise it's a $2 charge to pickup to-go orders. There's a few shops downstairs on the mezzanine level. Valet parking or self parking garage is also available. Just be careful not to park in reserved spots. Walkway from parking garage to hotel is on the 3rd floor. There's also a Starbucks in the bottom level and their own quick grab café if you need a quick coffee/tea or snack. The lighted Reno sign is right outside and it's right next door to Silverado casino. read more

Wile I stayed at Silver Legacy, the hotels are conjoined nearly as if it were one business. That said the cocktail service for the slots was MUCH quicker at the Eldorado. The staff was friendly and the selection of slots and restaurants is great. Will definitely return! read more

This is a great place that is cozy and comfortable but the reason for this low rating is due to the lack of etiquette and home training that some of the staff seem to lack. I was utterly appalled by my experience with a staff member in the Eldorado blackjack tables. I don't remember her name but she has a rude and nasty mouth that discourages guests from ever returning, she's rude and disrespectful and needs to be trained on how to respectfully deal with guests. She has a gross 80s perm with brown hair and tacky bangs. She had on a red football jersey. She's rude and treated my sister and I horribly, she's lucky we didn't come back to check her. If you're going to work with people then learn how to customer service and handle people properly. Watch that mouth when you talk to people because one day someone not so nice will humble you real quick. read more

So for the past two years, I've gotten mailers and I was offered chips to play table games, free rooms (must pay resort fees about $40 plus taxes) so not free at all. First of all to get a players card, it's usual to go to the cage or the players club. At this establishment, they send you to the pit to ask the pitboss. So I did and he was so rude, he doesn't like to have to do that. He didn't even acknowledge me at all. He angrily handed me the card. So I went exactly where I was told to go and felt I bothered him. Normally, you then take players card to the cage/cashier and they help you. Not here. The cashier then sent me to the kiosk where I had to print out a paper to get the chips and bring it back to her. And then told me, she doesn't get paid enough to do everyone's job. And the kicker is was there was no one else in line. She was doing nothing. So she then sent me to the kiosk to print out a paper then take it back to her. The kiosks were both unavailable so she said to go next door to the Silver Legacy which is connected but, really? What is wrong with this place? Very unaccommodating . What if I didn't grow up here and work in casinos, how would I feel then? It is absolutely not a good place to come to. You are sent on a wild goose chase to try to spend money. It's really horrible service and workers are NOT happy. So I'm not coming back here at all. And recommend no one else does either. read more

Shower head is about 5 feet above tub base. Tub makes scary creaking noise when you step near drain. Drain was clogged so my shower ended standing in 2 inches of disgusting water. I called maintenance. They said they would come up as long as we didn't have a do-not-disturb sign up; so we took that off as we left. We returned about 4 hours later. My husband, who waited to shower until the drain would be fixed, then took his shower. Still clogged; nasty. I called the front desk. The clerk told me lack of maintenance was my fault because we left the room. Apparently we are required to spend OUR vacation waiting in the room so they can fix THEIR faulty plumbing; which the maintenance person failed to tell me when I called the first time. Also the maintenance guy left the tub dirty, and left a disgusting soggy bath mat. Hard pass. read more

I ask for a coffee and he asks my player and I show to him . my wife wants latte and he yells out loud ask my wife , let me see your player card . I told him that we are together . he told me the policy , you can only have 2 drinks. later on that nite , my other friend seven stars asks lady for Red Bulls and she hands it to him . the guy Ryan should treats all the seven stars players the same way and with respect . there is no customers service from Ryan . My experience at the El Dorado Hotel and Casino Reno was one of the worst stays that I have had at a hotel. We visit Reno often, usually for shows or events and we like to stay at The El Dorado since it was a short walk from there to our show. We arrived around 5:30pm to check in and were advised by Krystal (she was very pleasant and tried her best to help us) that they did not have the room available that I had booked, which was a Premium King Suite. The explanation from the manager (who never actually spoke to us, just whispered answers to Krystal) said that there was a key lock issue with the suite and they had to move another guest into our room. They looked at getting us a suite 2102 but then said no that was already assigned to another guest. My options were to PAY for an upgraded suite or be given a standard 2 queen room with no compensation for the price that I paid. We took the upgrade that was explained to be a very nice 2 room suite with a living area but there would not be a view. We arrived at the 6th floor suite to find that no view really means no window. There was a 6 inch high fake window at the top of the bedroom wall with a frosted tint. The room is in the middle of the building so that was all fake. The ice maker was filthy (see photos), the toilet tilts to the right, the couch has no back cushions, and the bed is so low it feels like it was an ada accessible room. Also for an upgraded suite it has a mixture of gold and silver fixtures, some brushed and some shiny, holes in the cabinetry and non working outlets. To my surprise there were also no usb charge ports. Most standard rooms that I have stayed in in the last several years have these. We went back to the front desk and told a new lady that this was not an upgrade and this room was not okay. She said that guests complain about that room all the time but there were no other options for us, they were completely booked for the weekend. When I said that SIlver Legacy would let me book a room she told me NO! They were booked and the online system was behind but she knew for a fact that it was not an option. Then when I pressed her about that she said well it's because you booked through a 3rd party. I asked her which of the 3 excuses were the truth? She couldn't answer. I told her to reverse the upgrade charge and she agreed plus offered a $50 food credit. It wasn't until I spoke with the 2nd lady that I found out that this was because I booked through a third party, I didn't know that I had. The website looked just like the El Dorado and there were no markings like priceline or expedia. I own my mistake because I thought I was booking directly with them. It's terrible how they treat you, when she saw my surprise she then told me that it happens a lot because this site shows up before theirs. (if you choose to stay here, be careful!) We used the food credit at Millie's in the hotel and I'm glad I didn't have to pay for that crappy food. My scrambled eggs were both runny and had burnt brown spots, the bacon was like jerky, the waffle was undercooked and my husband's biscuits and gravy was so over cooked that I could have injured someone if I threw the biscuit at them. My main issue is that I received 3 different excuses for them not having my booked room available. Just be truthful from the beginning and don't offer crappy rooms that you know nobody wants. I paid quite a bit of money for a crappy stay. The manager was so unprofessional, both in dress and attitude that it was said that she leaves her employees out to dry when there are issues. I wish I had caught her name but I'm sure the hotel knows exactly which manager I'm talking about. read more

The Eldorado's customer service is virtually non-existent. I tried to call their ticket office three times and had to navigate through an exceptionally frustrating automated phone system every time. I never did get my issue resolved. Avoid this place! read more

BEDBUGS... This place is INFESTED with them. We reserved a room. Checked in, walked in the room and literally walked right back out. It was so nasty. Hair on the walls, stains on the bedding, smelled really stale. Asked front desk to check out because the room is disgusting they said they will upgrade my room to a cleaner one but REFUSED TO REFUND ME. Would have been nice to have a sanitized room the first time around. When I got to the second room I walked in and started checking for bedbugs starting with the pillows and immediately found a pillow full of BEDBUG blood stains from a passed guest. At that point I'd rather leave this hotel and lose $200 than having to lose $2,000+ from having to exterminate my home with a pest control company. I checked out and the front desk employee said nothing because she knows how gross it is. ENDED UP STAYING AT THE BEST WESTERN PLUS SPARKS. We really enjoyed our stay in the Sierra Vista tower which was renovated and nicely furnished although our non-smoking room smelled slightly smoky. Seems can't filter out all smokiness. Room came out to about $250/night when all fees added in. View wasn't great, top of roof and dome of Silver Legacy. The casino is expansive and lots of great options across different price points. Dog friendly casino. Many cocktail waitresses and came around often. Enjoyed my multiple Tequila sunrises. Lots of eating options; we enjoyed Ruth Chris's ribeye dinner and Sushi and Sake the following night. Millie's breakfast cafe was delicious and reasonably priced. There is a Sportsbook area and live Keno bar.Ambience is old Vegas casino but cleaner. Free shuttle to airport, runs every 30 min at 1/4 hour. Part of The Row: connected Caesars Hotel properties of Circus Circus and Silver Legacy each with its own vibe. Loosest slots, saw people winning 1K and above, not me but received enough to keep playing. Liked the lounge bar Rum Bullion(?) planted in middle of all three. Right across street from convention center and 1/4 mi walk to lovely Reno Riverwalk. Make sure to visit well-stocked Reno visitor center for top notch souvenirs. Riverwalk was packed with visitors walking the Truckee Pyramid Trail where river goers can get in the water and kayak or river float on a rented tube. Bike rentals also available. Came during Margarita Crawl day so very lively with college students from nearby U of Nevada. Really enjoyed our stay: themeing; variety; winner. read more

We stayed here last week and the room was clean and comfortable with lots of room to relax. The food was delicious and customer service was efficient and hospitable. It is within walking distance of the train and bus station and the auto museum and other local sites. I use to frequent El dorado often and always loved my stay. Went this past weekend after not visiting for over a year and wow have things gone down hill! The customer service is horrific, they literally do not care when there is a problem and that's coming from top management. My room smelled horrible to the point the previous guest left a air freshener in the vents so clearly this is a on going problem. When we brought it up to a female manager who's attitude was disgusting she couldn't have cared less. Eventually we had to move to a smoking room which shockingly ended up smelling better than our previous non smoking room. The rooms never get cool at all which is no fun in the hot summer, I was literally sweating while trying to get ready for the night! I went to the Swarovski to get a bracelet that I had purchased it colorado fixed but when I asked the retail representative what were my options on getting it fixed she told me I had to send it in. This was all fine but when I didn't have the receipt and box that I needed the lady was very straight forward and very corse. I was very frustrated because she continued to tell me that it was nearly impossible to have it fixed. I still love the jewelry but the customer service was not up to par. read more
