Our family was in town and after a long day of hiking around Grand Tetons we came into Jackson for dinner. So many choices, but I had heard good things about Eleanor's and it looked like it wasn't a tourist trap so we went there. Sunday evening, the bar was hopping, but the restaurant was pretty empty. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress. She gave us menus and kindly gave us suggestions on the favorite meals of the establishment. Taking her recommendations into account we all ordered something she had suggested except for my husband. The food arrived and it looked incredible. My daughters Mac and cheese with bacon off of the appetizer menu was picture perfect and then I tasted it, off the charts creamy deliciousness. I ordered the beef quesadilla, it was massive and filled with meat, cheese, and bean goodness. My MIL had the taco salad, also huge and fantastic. Hubby had the meatball sandwich which was also amazing. All of the food was outstanding and the portions were huge. The service was excellent, food was outstanding, the restaurant was relaxed and off the beaten path of the tourists. I was very happy here and we will be back again, and again, and again. read more

This place was great. I stopped here while visiting The Tetons and I had excellent service to go along with the great food at a reasonable price (for Jackson Hole). They have traditional bar food, but it was made to perfection. I highly recommend this bar/restaurant. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it definitely needs an update on the interior. read more

Holy Moly...the place is tucked in behind a liquor store...the food is discusting...to say the best as I asked the server what was good on the menu and he said not much...we ordered many items and they all were bad ....the drinks were cheap however the pour was weak.Advice to the owners please focus on the food quality....blow it up and start over please.! read more

In town for the night, stumbled across this gem in the back of a liquor store! The service was above and beyond!!! Mutual Twins fans, and enjoyed light blue uniform night. The locals were amazing! One told us of all of his climbing of mountains stories and the other a local of 30 years. The menu was amazing we had loaded tots and 3 tacos meat of choice. Legit atmosphere that has a sophisticated man cave feel to it. Staff is professional, friendly, and willing to adjust channels to show the game you're wanting. Food and drinks are solid and reasonably priced. Free peanuts on the table, dart board, music on point, and all around awesome place to be. 5 stars. read more

This place is awesome! Server/bartenders are very quick, knowledgeable, pleasant and gave great recommendations. Beer was FRESH, and unfortunately because I work at a brewery this is something I absolutely depend on because when beer has sat for a month you can taste it. Beyond pleased. Had their special, al pastor tacos, very tasty with a nice kick . You can also tell how clean their pints are because of the lacing on the glass, beautiful. Terrible!!! The waitress gave us a menu. Never came back. We had to go order at the bar. The bartender had to bring us out food. Waitress was doing shots, rubbing on friends & got very drunk. Got on top of the bar yelling "last call, get out" 2 times. ( it was 3 hours before they close ). So drunk she was slurring. We had to ask the bartender for the bill & nobody came around for us to pay. read more

We asked if there was a wait and his response was, "This is a sports bar, it's first come first serve." He then hung up. No information whatsoever. FUNKY! You know you are gonna have an experience when you have to travel through a liquor store to get to the restaurant! Eleanor must have thought of the restaurant after she built the liquor store.....or....there has to be a story there. Start off your night with peanuts on the tables...shells, discard to the floor please. The servers are friendly, attentive and on the ball. The food was very good. I was surprised at how extensive the menu was. We ordered fish and chips, barbeque pork sandwich, meatballs, club sandwich and these indian (slurpy not casino) popovers (can't remember the name of them) and everything was delicious! Best wings in Jackson - ask for my favorite buffalo/teriyaki (buffyaki). Usually have a decent IPA on tap with plenty of other domestics/imports/micros in the fridge. Never had a bad dining experience there and I go there at least once a week. read more

We just came by for a drink and a snack. We loved this little "hidden" bar. The bartenders were very nice and cool with us. The regulars were very friendly and welcoming to us out-of-towners in their seemingly regular bar. read more

I have eaten street tacos there many times, but under the new management they are bland and very greasy. Need to consider going back to the old recipe or drain the meat and add some decent seasoning. read more

I went there for lunch with my mom on a Friday. There were a few other people in the restaurant, but it was not busy. Our food took over 45 minutes to be served. My mom ordered a giant chicken enchilada and I ordered a steak quesadilla. My mom was brought what looked like a giant burrito, with steak in it. I was brought a chicken quesadilla. The food was fresh, but not what we ordered. Since it took so long to get, it wasn't worth it to try and correct our order. The quesadilla was really cheesy and had a great flavor. The salsa and sour cream was served in small cups on the side and I ran out when I was only 1/2 way done. The waiter was nice, but never checked on us after bringing the food to the table. Great find! You have to go through a liquor store to get to the bar/restaurant- but worth the confusion. My husband and I don't drink but we're glad we stuck it out and tried it. I can see why the locals keep this one a secret. We split the half order of nachos and a meatball sub. Everything was just plain good food at a good price. The nachos were some of the best we've ever had. We added chicken to it and it's perfect for a meal all by itself. Everything fresh and tasty. Meatball sub and fries were on pointe too. Trying to figure out where to catch the game, get some great food and feel like you're at your hometown bar? Eleanor's is it. TVs everywhere and PBR on tap--the hubby was in heaven. They have local beers on tap, too. Waitress was perfect. Friendly and got what we needed when we needed it but didn't pester us. We had the shrimp basket with fries and beer cheese tater tots. Shrimp was a little salty but crispy and good. Fries and tots were awesome. They make their own--get some! The table next to us had salads and they looked fantastic. It took 10 minutes at least to get someone to order drinks, the drinks came fairly quickly but then we sat for over a half an hour before we were in the process of before the waiter decided he wanted to take our food order. Second times here within two weeks. Food is very good and casual environment. So tasty and comfortable space to relax chat with your friends. Both times our server Jeff and Jason are awesome! Best sports bar in Jackson! We were vacationing from Maryland & wanted a bar where we could watch the UMD basketball game. Although the bar was busy, the first thing we asked the bartender to do was put on the game which he did right away. We chose Eleanor's based on the fact that they did take out and their menu looked good. When I placed the order over the phone, they were really friendly and suggested the mac n cheese for my little boy as they didn't have an actual kids menu.
