    Our Electricare Solar Array
    G M.

Everything about our experience with Electricare's design and installation of our home's solar system was 5 star! We began the journey in late May by contacting Dan at Electrum, the company tasked with running SCE's Solar Marketplace. They served as our advocates in obtaining three customized bids, quickly responding to our question, supporting us in adjusting our bids to fit our needs and finances, and checking in with us throughout the selection and installation processes. We chose Electricare to be our installer. They were local and we heard great things about their customer support, responsiveness, professionalism, and their tireless efforts to plow through the local and SCE red tape to get our system installed and activated in a timely manner. They lived up to all of that and more! Electricare contacted us in early June and within a week, completed a site inspection, created a great proposal and started the process of SCE and city approvals. Installation began in early July with a main electrical panel replacement, which took one day, followed the next week by the panel and solar system installation which also took one day. The city quickly signed off and SCE granted Permission to Operate (PTO) two weeks later! All along the way the Electricare team was actively supporting us. They were extremely professional, sensitive to designing a system that met both our electrical and esthetic needs, communicated often with us, provided us tips and insights for using and maximizing our solar system, extremely neat in their work, and careful to make sure the installation, conduit, and boxes matched our paint color and did not detract from the look of the house or roof. They even repaired a paver stone which was accidentally damaged during the installation. The caring, friendly, and professional attitude of the Electricare team was clearly seen in our interactions with each member of the team starting with Arlene who was our constant link with Electricare, keeping us informed every step along the way. She was on top of everything, even anticipating our questions ahead of time and calling us with our answers before we even asked! This level of customer care continued with Alex, the company's COO, who did the sight inspection and designed our system and even gave me a great tip on how to insulate the attic access in the house to prevent heat and cold from entering the house. Chase, who took care of the main panel replacement, and Sean, who took care of the system hook-up and wi-if programming, were great to work with and showed the same customer service we were already experiencing. We were also impressed with Brando, Julio, and Junior who installed the panels for their focus on a quality installation and making sure there was no damage to the roof or house and that the worksite was completely neat and clean when they left, and with Allen, who stopped by to make sure the electrical was installed well and that we were pleased with the work. And finally, to Eddie, Electricare's CEO, who clearly sets the tone for the company and the team, called after we received the PTO to make sure we were pleased with the installation, follow-up with any loose ends, and to walk me through powering up the system. We could not have been happier with the entire process and were extremely pleased with how quickly it all came together. It is all thanks to the team at Electrum and Electricare! While we have not yet received our first SCE bill, we can clearly tell that we've made the right choice both through the production data we see on the system's app and through a quick look at a week's worth of data on our SCE account page showing how much electricity has been received (consumed by us) and delivered (excess electricity produced and sent to SCE). Thank you Electricare!

Beautiful! 20 solaria 355w panels paired with enphase microinverters.

So far so good. Electricare employees have been very responsive and cordial. Their price vs. quality of materials is excellent. Their knowledge of the industry as it pertains to labor, materials, utility companies and government regulations is reassuring. Everything is ready for the install. To be continued.... A whole House fan and solar was installed today. Solar is waiting for regulatory approval before the SCE connection. The four guys and supervisors were great & the job was smooth and fast! Great team! All of us are really loving the whole House fan, We are already saving electricity by not having the air conditioning on after 7:45 p.m. The outside is 70° right now, it feels like the air conditioning is on but it's fresh nice Air instead! Even though there's absolutely no wind out tonight, the fan is pulling all the cool air into our house and as a side benefit it is cooling our attic down also. Also the garlic smell from my Chinese stir fry is gone. Thank you so much, Alex, spencer, rob, Julio, Junior, alan and Jared! To be continued when SCE approves....

Work was done qucikly and profssionally. There was good communication throughout our solar project. System is working great! Elecricare has been very responsive to all of our inquires and have provided timely answers to all of our questions.

    Can barely see the panels

Couldn't be happier with my solar system. Aaron hooked it up. Everything he said he was going to do in his presentation was exactly what was done. No surprises. The process was fast and simple. From signing the contract my solar was up within 3 weeks. Install was on a Monday, county inspector was here Tuesday and I got my permission to operate by Friday. I was surprised how quick it was and I know that may not be normal but super happy either way. So far my Edison bill is -48kwh After 3 weeks of operation. Thats even with cooling my house to 72 degrees. I would recommend Aaron and Electricare to anyone.

Overall the team all seem to be doing their job and the execution is quick but the lack of customer communication is not up to par for a 50k project. It felt like I was the project manager all the time, following up on schedule, and then calling to verify. I had a feeling that the teams are split and everyone only does their job based on a scope and not as a team. Sometimes, I just want the truth on timing.... Bc Everytime I get a timing commitment, it's delayed and or no show and then also no updates. The project is still on-going with skirting, commissioning wasn't even done , painting of pipes/conduits... so will update accordingly. 8/6/26 : the team swiftly came the next day and finished painting and commissioning so I will add a star. 8/12/26: Just had a constructive discussion with Dayne and Savannah -- overall very positive. While my earlier frustrations were real, the conversation helped me better understand the complexities of the contractor side of the business. I also came away feeling that OC Solar genuinely puts care and attention into each project. The project isn't fully complete yet (inspections, skirting, and a few other items remain), but the overall execution moved at lightning speed and exceeded my own expectations. At the end of the day, it's the final result that counts so I will increase it to 5 stars.

The solar panels that they installed don't produce enough power to offset the added monthly cost of the loan. They promised a cashback check as an incentive, and after multiple calls, it's still yet to arrive. It's almost a year late. They've promised dates and sent emails confirming the supposed check's arrival - but no such check has arrived. Furthermore, it hasn't been even a year since the panels went up - and one of them has already failed. I don't look forward to trying to schedule a maintenance date, given their squirreliness so far. I'll update this review should they make things right, but they haven't given me any reason to be optimistic so far.

First and foremost Gabe at Aloha Solar was the ONLY one where it didn't feel sales pitchy. He went to college for this, believe he grew up off grid on Maui and you can tell right away he's knowledgeable and a straight shooter. Not to mention he had the best pricing and deal out of every other company! Gabe made us feel comfortable with our decision, gave us all the information we wanted, and actually drove out to our house multiple times to chat when we had additional questions and concerns. Is Aloha a smaller company, yes, but will Gabe answer your call when needed, yes! Fast forward install happened within a couple weeks of signing the deal. Minas was the head installer it seemed (all people are internal employees with Aloha and work is NOT contracted out, that was a big seller for us), and two other guys Rigo and Matt. All were super nice and very professional. Minas walked me through everything at the end, and major bonus points once he installed the piping going from battery to roof, he asked if I had paint that matched the exterior of my house. I did, and he then painted all of the piping! I know he did not have to do that, so that was a fantastic touch. If you're thinking about solar, trust me, I did the research and I spoke to all of the sales people. GO WITH ALOHA! You will NOT be disappointed. Thanks to Gabe and the team!

We've had ADT security for 20 years and have been happy with them. So when we wanted Solar Panels,…read morewe figured ADT Solar would be just as great.... but boy, was I wrong. Slow, terrible, creepy and awful are the words that describe ADT solar. 1. Creepy -- salesman was typical 1950's style pushy, inconsiderate and cringe worthy guy. He would walk into your house with dirty shoes on, speaking a mile a minute that you didn't know what was happening. He says misogynistic comments that I eventually just let my husband deal with him. He would show up completely unannounced (as in Hi, I'm in your driveway, I need to take measurements) several times and UGGGGH! They also want referrals of your friends so they can harass them ...... they basically pay you money for every phone number you give them. 2. Slow - from the time of signing the contract to turning on the panels, it's so far, been 1 year and 45 days. The Empire State Building was built in less time. Our panels are just on our house as decoration right now. 3. Slow - after construction, the crew and had cut out several panels of drywall out in our garage. It took them 4 months to fix it. They also used screws that were too large, and wound up drilling holes from the garage into the wall of the laundry room --- there were pointy screws protruding in the laundry room -- dangerous and ridiculous. 4. Slow -- while they were figuring out how to put panels on our roof, it took the architects/engineers MONTHS to figure it out. Everytime there was some sort of revision, our project would apparently go to the bottom of their very large pile of other projects. MONTHS and MONTHS of excuses. Our panels are still not turned on, but Ameren is currently paying the monthly payments until they figure it out....... so far they've paid 3 months.... TERRIBLE company --- find someone else.
