My wife and I chose Current Home to install our solar panels, and the whole thing went great. The Concierge guy Daniel was extremely helpful and has stayed in contact with us even though I guess there's like different departments that take over along the way. The Sales guy was super nice and not pushy too. They ended up about the same as the other quotes we got, but none of the other companies took the time to really listen to what we needed like Current Home. DO NOT SIGN WITH CURRENT HOME SOLAR (based on my experience). We have not saved money since installing solar, and the process has been a constant headache. ISREAL LIED TO US, do not believe their reps. They will make you go in circles to try and get anything resolved. The biggest issue was the lease terms. We were not clearly informed at the time of signing that around the 5-year mark there is a large fee/decision point, and if you don't take action to end/modify the lease at that time, you can remain locked into payments for 20+ years. That detail should have been explained plainly upfront. If you're considering this company, I strongly recommend: * Get the full contract in writing before agreeing to anything. * Ask specifically about what happens at year 5, any fees, and your options to end the lease. * Have someone independent review the agreement so you understand the long-term costs. I wish we had done that, because this has been far more expensive and stressful than we were led to expect. read more

We met FJ during the summer, and if you know summer in the Inland Empire, you know it's no joke! FJ took the time to explain the benefits of solar as we were exploring different companies. We also worked closely with Mikayla, our service representative, who handled the administrative side of things. She was fantastic--always staying in touch via phone, text, and email to keep us updated and informed throughout the process. This company is a joke and just gives you the run around and just does a bait and switch on you.. They promised I would not have to pay Edison anymore except for the service fee which has been far from the truth. After several months of getting the run around they finally told me that the system is working as expected and that it's basically my usage that's causing the overage. I told them my usage supposedly factored in the usage of a pool pump that they were working with n at the time of the solar installation and their response was that they did a best guess on the system and pretty much that I am stuck with it. I had an incredible experience with Gigi with Current Home. We had a roof leak from solar panels installed last April. The leak was not identified until much later in the year. I had both a roofer and home owners insurance adjuster come and help discover the cause of the leaks which ended up being identified coming from the Solar panels installation. This is when Gigi entered the picture. From the very first call until the damage to the roof and interior of the house was fixed Gigi was kind, responsive and had great follow through. I could not have had a better experience and I highly recommend Current Home because they stand behind their work. Just as an added bonus Melissa (Gigi's boss) was also very accessible and easy to work with. They both treated you more like a friend than a customer. It felt like they were both invested in our house being fixed to our expectations. I can never thank them enough. read more

I am submitting this complaint to formally document ongoing and unresolved issues with my solar installation and service, as well as what I believe to be misrepresentation and poor post-sale customer support by this company. My wife and I entered into a contract with this company for the installation of a solar energy system, which included solar panels and battery storage. Throughout the sales process and at the time of contract signing, we were explicitly promised that our system would be monitored 24/7, and that if any issues arose, they would be identified and handled immediately by the company. This assurance was a significant factor in our decision to proceed with the purchase. In practice, this has not been the case. Our system continues to experience unresolved functionality issues, specifically drawing power from the electrical grid while simultaneously pulling from the battery--an issue that has been repeatedly raised and remains uncorrected. Despite numerous communications, no effective corrective action has been taken. I have had multiple phone conversations with company representatives and managers regarding these concerns. Rather than addressing the problem, my concerns have been repeatedly dismissed or delayed. On several occasions, I have received unprofessional communications--including texts and emails--stating that it is my responsibility to contact third-party solar providers and resolve the system issues myself, and that it is not the company's job to ensure proper system operation. This directly contradicts the representations made during the sales process. More recently, I was informed that the company had been "attempting" to contact the solar provider on my behalf for approximately two days, without success. At no point was this presented as a courtesy; instead, it was implied to be part of their responsibility, reinforcing the earlier promise of ongoing monitoring and issue resolution. This inconsistency has created a false impression of accountability and further eroded my confidence in the company. In an effort to escalate this matter, I contacted the company's CEO directly after confirming the accuracy of his email address. To date, I have received no response--formal or informal--from anyone at the executive level. This lack of acknowledgment leads me to believe that once the contract was signed, customer support and accountability effectively ceased. Additionally, I have identified misleading representations of the company's public ratings in official correspondence. The company currently holds an A rating, not an A+, and a 4.3-star rating on Yelp, not a five-star rating. These inflated ratings were prominently emphasized by the sales representative during the sales process and materially influenced our decision to move forward. Continuing to present inaccurate ratings is misleading and does not reflect the company's current standing. At this point, I am seeking BBB assistance to: 1. Prompt meaningful engagement and accountability from the company 2. Obtain resolution of the ongoing system functionality issues 3. Address misleading representations made during the sales and post-sale process Separately, if any attorneys in the Southern California area review this complaint and believe these circumstances warrant further legal review, I welcome contact, as I have exhausted reasonable attempts to resolve this matter directly with the company. read more

Definitely one of the easiest solar companies to deal with! We worked with Nichole and she was super informative and knowledgable! We are fairly new to solar and didn't even know where to start and other companies were such a nightmare with the pricing and couldn't even answer our questions. Nichole kept us updated throughout the whole process and everything has been getting done so fast and not to mention they had the best prices compared to other companies we got quoted from. We were going to go with another company until Laila was able to get us an even better deal! She worked with her supervisor, Russ and together they came up with a rate and plan with better incentives and that worked better for us and were able to save us a great deal of money. Solar Panels I consider Solar Panels for my home we live in an area that's really hot. Macayla was our customer representative she walked us through whole process it did take longer than I expected about 10 months with approvals for many Projects. My solar panels are now up and running I'm so happy I guess the wait was all worth it. My only issue I had problems with Macayla is not well at communicating? I have a solar power system, but unfortunately I am still paying a large amount to Edison. I learned from the company's technician that some of the panels are not getting enough sunlight. I reported this issue to the company, but I have not received any attention. One of the customer service representatives called me and asked me to clean the panels, which I did, but the problem remains. The panels need to be moved higher so they can receive sunlight. This is the struggle I am facing with current Home. read more

Current home was the company in charge of installing our solar on our brand new home, unbeknown to us, they cracked over 200 tiles on our roof and installed faulty patches. We had major leaks and flooding in our main living area and one bedroom (anywhere there was solar above us). To their credit, their roofer who came out was wonderful but admitted all of the damage was entirely their fault. We are now months out from the damage occurring and they are delaying and using stall tactics to prevent taking care of any interior damage. My brand new home is torn apart and every day it's a different excuse. I'd stay far far away from current home. read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am filing this complaint against CurrentHome and Enfin regarding a solar installation that has resulted in significant billing discrepancies and misrepresentation of services. Background     *    In late 2024, I was approached by a CurrentHome sales representative, Jeremy, who offered me a plan called TruePill. I was told that this plan would completely offset my Edison bills and that if any Edison bills were issued, CurrentHome/Enfin would reimburse me. This promise was also referenced in the signed contract.     *    The system (20 panels and a battery) was scheduled to be installed in January 2025 with completion by March 2025. It was not completed until June 2025. Issues Identified     1.    Incorrect Installation: The system was installed incorrectly. Only lighting (living room, kitchen, garage, bedrooms) is connected to solar. All major appliances -- AC, oven, and EV charging -- still pull power from Edison.     2.    Increased Utility Bills:     *    First Edison bill: $90     *    Second Edison bill: $280     *    Third Edison bill: $524 Before solar installation, my Edison bills averaged $300-$320 per month. Now, my bills are nearly double despite the solar system.     3.    Company Response:     *    A CurrentHome representative confirmed that the installation was done incorrectly.     *    Despite this acknowledgment, the company has refused to stop billing or reimburse Edison bills as promised.     *    Enfin has failed to assist or provide relief, even though the financing agreement binds them to this project. Contractual and Consumer Protection Concerns     *    Misrepresentation of the product: The system was sold as a full offset to Edison, which has not been delivered.     *    Breach of contract: Edison bills were to be reimbursed per agreement.     *    Delayed installation: Project completion was delayed by three months. Requested Resolution I respectfully request the following remedies:     1.    Full reimbursement of Edison bills since the system was activated.     2.    Immediate correction of the installation so the solar system powers all major appliances.     3.    Suspension of billing from Enfin until the system functions as promised.     4.    Investigation into CurrentHome's and Enfin's practices to ensure other consumers are not subjected to similar misrepresentations. If these issues are not resolved promptly, I am prepared to escalate this matter through additional legal and regulatory channels. read more
