The waxer was kind but her…read moretechnique is not what I have experienced at any of the EWC locations which resulted in an extremely uncomfortable experience overall. 1) After pulling the wax strip, she proceeded to use a rubbing motion rather than a firm press which actually ended up making the experience more painful. 2) There were multiple instances where the wax kept breaking but in particular, the wax broke and she kept trying to rip it off. It was so painful that I started to move my legs around and in response she pushed my leg back down and poured baby powder on it and ripped it off. I found it to be extremely painful. If a client if moving their legs around in pain, I would assume it would be in everyone's best interest to pause, especially after multiple failed attempts at ripping at the wax. 3) towards the end she poured powder on the area and I had to ask for a paper towel to wipe the powder off so that it wouldn't get on the clothes/floor (she ended up doing it since she had her gloves on still) Overall, the experience was horrible and even if it had been a while since my last wax, I have NEVER experienced this in the past and would never expect a waxer to continue to rip at wax when a client is in very obvious pain. I was in a bit of shock and tried to be nice during the appointment but ultimately let the staff know. The manager did call to say she processed a refund but I was out and couldn't have a conversation. I do appreciate her willingness to remedy the situation and u hope this waxer can improve her services.

She's my fairy godmother of skin products. She was able to point out that my products were all wrong for my skin type (I thought I was oily but actually my skin was merely overproducing oil because it was dehydrated for the past decade) and that most of my "hydrating" creams and moisturizers had a shocking number of dehydrating ingredients like alcohol denat, sulphates, and others that I wasn't educated on. The ingredients in my products were counter-acting each other and she was able to see that my acne (tiny white bumps all over my face and eye lids) were akin to an allergic reaction to this bad combination of products. Because I've known her for for a decade, I can say she is trustworthy enough to invite into my home to do the waxes. She is extremely professional, clean, skilled, nice, honesty, prompt, and efficient. I've only tried 1 other wax place once and it was nowhere near as good as what Alexandra can do. She uses hard wax and disposable wooden sticks, and has her own table that she brings for her house calls.
