Her extraction technique is unlike anything I've ever experienced. She's incredibly gentle but so thorough, and somehow I've never been left with scarring or unnecessary irritation. During the service, everything was great until we got to extractions. After already going past 15 minutes, I was told there would be an additional $50 charge for "extra" extractions. This was not clearly disclosed beforehand, and I felt put on the spot to agree since the service was already in progress. The final total came out to $400. After the facial, I was shown "premium" products and told the total would be around $1,000, which had never been discussed. I explained that I could only afford around $500, and I was considering a selection of products within that range. However, when I asked whether one item, specifically an SPF, was necessary, the tone shifted. I was told there was no point in continuing to go over products if I was not going to purchase anything and that we "were not a good fit," to which I agree, but not because I asked questions or was unwilling to buy. As a result, I chose not to purchase anything and canceled the next appointment. I left feeling dismissed and unwelcome. As a young client still in college, I would have expected a more understanding and respectful approach rather than pressure. Overall, the lack of professionalism made this an uncomfortable experience.

When it comes to my lips, I felt like one day they just disappeared when I used to have really full and plump ones. TBH I wasn't thrilled that the only viable option to regain some of my lost volume was fillers. I had read about botched jobs where the lips are uneven or look like duck lips. I had also heard about filler cumulation and migration. This really made me nervous so I did 5 hours of research to try to find an injector I could trust. I wanted someone who was more focused on producing a natural and balanced appearance through rejuvenation NOT augmentation. I have OCPD so I also wanted to find a technique oriented perfectionist who was a student of her craft. After researching photos and reviews on Reddit, Google, and Yelp for weeks, I chose Skinbiotic and specifically Kami. Here's why: - People raved about Kami's genuineness and her skill - The before and after photos of her work revealed a natural and tasteful style - Skinbiotic was offering a year end special and the prices for fillers and Botox was incredible BUT I have heard of places that don't actually use the real stuff but knock offs that don't work and/or last so I decided to see if Skinbiotic was listed on Botox/Juvederm's Alle site as a provider which I was thrilled to affirmatively confirm. ( BTW some other injectors that have great reviews are NOT listed on the Alle site). I am sooooo happy with my choice. From the get go, I got a very warm feeling from Kami who did not overbook herself so she was solely focused on me. She spent time asking what I wanted and agreed that regaining some of my lost lip volume would be appropriate. Here's the moment of truth for me: I said I did not want duck lips and Kami responded by suggesting I should switch from Juvederm which I asked for to Restylane and she explained that Juvederm has a thicker consistency which can create more protrusion which some people prefer but in my case, she recommended the more viscous Restylane ( which is also the preferred filler for the under eye area because the tissue is very thin). While Kami was injecting my lips, I was impressed by her attention to detail. She was not rushing to finish but rather she was meticulous about each and every injection and i could sense the wheels turning. Anyways after about 1.5 weeks all the bruising and swelling is gone and I couldn't be happier with my refreshed lips!! I have missed them but they are back!! Thank you Kami! Muah

Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

This is my first Yelp post. I only signed on to Yelp for one reason and that was to right a serious wrong. I read through the reviews and all were five star - except a single review that was a 1. I have been going to Fresh Face for over 5 years. I had serious problems with facial hair following 5 years of anti-hormone therapy for breast cancer. Had been to numerous other aestheticians/electrologists with painful and unacceptable results. Brady was the least painful and most efficient. As to facials, I've only been getting them from Brady lately. I travel extensively and have had the fortune to experience facials at 5 star resorts as well as locally in Beverly HIlls. No one has given me a facial that made my skin look as good as Brady's. As to the dog, if you don't want the dog, just say so. I am scared to death of even tiny little dogs. Brady's dog is more of an emotional support creature and to everyone's surprise I love him. read more

When I try a new place, I want to start with the basics before I trust someone to use a lot of technology or potentially abrasive products on my face. Show me you can do the basics first. No ability to try this place out first to test their skill.
