If you would like to waste 2 hours on a haircut that should have been completed in 45 minutes, all while listening to far too personal baby daddy stories shared by your nice, but unskilled, stylist, then this is the salon for you! What was that? Should I have said something? Well, I did. That's when the less than 100% fabulous customer service kicked in. I sent photos and messages documenting the haircut. I asked for a refund. After all, that was $90 for the haircut that looks like the craft scissor haircut my friend's daughter gave herself when she was 5. They want to "fix" it. There's barely any hair left to "fix" and also, no. You have lost my trust. Just refund the money. Here's my story: I chose one of my reference images (the one with green highlights) directly from their website based on cut and type of color, highlights with a fashion color. What could possibly go wrong? There is a person there who literally can cut the cut I want the picture proved it, right? The scheduler said she knew exactly who to book me with, but let's do a color consultation first for $60. I countered with, let's schedule the cut and the stylist, and I can discuss color then. At my appointment, I showed the stylist a carefully curated set of images, cut images, and the cut I wanted in pics of me when I had that cut. This is important because, I should back up and say I was asking for a pixie cut. I explained that I wanted my already short hair to be styled into a long banged, messy pixie with wispy tendrils by my ears. This would require trimming bangs, texturizing the longer "bob" sides and back. An hour in, I knew far too much about her personal life, and half my hair was clippered and way too short. Then she said, " Hey, maybe we should leave the other side as it is (when I came in)". Um, what? I asked to see the back. It had been clippered and the long hair on top laid on it like a rug. Zero texture. Um... the back of my head looks like a triangle? Can you please fix it? She did, kinda. Now, it's at mile marker two hours, and I am late. She was still not done. I told her I had to go and that I would have to settle for what I have. I left, put my hat on, and cried. But that was after I was also charged a service fee to tip. Next comes the customer service: After work, I took my hat off to discover that you could see my scalp in places. I have virtually no bangs, and it is waaaaay worse than I thought. I immediately emailed with pics. Their response, thanks for the feedback. I called and asked someone from their leadership to call me back. Nope, no call. Fast forward to the next day and several emails later, and the owner said you can either come in (next week) or "this matter is closed". Charming. I've had pixie cuts for 20 years. This was not a texture things or even a miscommunication. It was a failure of the scheduler, the stylist, and ultimately the owner. That stylist needs to be trained better and should have never been given me as a client. And the owner, well, just rude. When did customer service become so rare? Guess they must be doing well if they don't need new customers. There's more, but I am tired of typing. I don't usually leave reviews. Update: to be clear I did not decline the review. To all my fuzzy wuzzy sisters out there - this is the review that is going to save you a ton of TIME and MONEY, and y'all owe me big for this one. So here goes ELECTROLYSIS 101: The Basics. After a year of plucking in my car mirror (oh my goodness girls, whateva u do - DON'T PLUCK! it makes them come back BLACKER and THICKER till you've got it goin' on like Poncho Villa) I just couldn't deal with my macho man prickles any longer. I tried out pretty much all the electrologists in town. Seriously, I shopped around 'cuz I'm on a budget and I don't have money to be throwing around. And since I didn't know too much about electrolysis, they all seemed pretty much the same, more or less. I'd get all these little red zits, and, unlike my money, the hair wasn't going a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e. I finally came to Be A New Creation Spa on the recommendation of a long time friend (of mine) and client (of theirs). Her exquisitely feminine chin and upper lip is smooth as a jar of honey, and had surreptitiously been the focus of my envy for quite a while before I wrangled her out of her little secret. Once there, I realized what was wrong with all those other places I'd been: they'd been zapping and then PLUCKING my dang hairs!!! See - it's like this, girls: killing a hair takes a lot of experience - the electrolygist has to slide this little tiny probe into the hair follicle and, basically, use her electrolygist's intuition to sense when it hits right where the root grows. Then she can deliver a little electrical zap and it kills the follicle so the hair doesn't grow back. Ever. Yessssssss! The problem is, it takes a super steady hand, a sharp eye, and YEARS to develop the intuition to know when you're in that follicle right where you're supposed to be. You can be too shallow and miss the bulb, or you can go too deep and pierce the skin. And you can only zap around in there so many times before the follicle gets all pissed off and develops a nice whitehead. That's when, if they haven't gotten it yet - they just PLUCK it out and move on. And what does PLUCKING do to our hairs, class? Of course they don't TELL you that they goofed it - they just say "ooooooh, darn, that one was stubborn!" and change the subject, while you're paying to make your chin even hairier than it was before. See how that works? This is the DIFFERENCE at Be A New Creation Spa, plain and simple. I've had appointments with hair removal gurus Roberta and Christine ... and one other talented lass, whose name escapes me at the moment... but the point is - THEY NEVER HAVE HAD TO PLUCK A SINGLE HAIR. Not one... single... one. Bottom line - I get my money's worth each and every time. It's simply a matter of talent and experience, and these ladies have well over a decade of it. To top it all off - I've spent more other places, but NEVER less!! And if you pre-pay for a package (really, it's the way to go) you can save a mint. My horrible little patch of hairs has become just a memory ...that I'll repress ...and in time, come to deny altogether... "ME...with a Poncho Villa 'stache??! Girl, you lie like a rug! Why, my chin has ALWAYS been softer than Tinkerbell's heiney ...in mink underoos..." Last but not least, these women are kind, and REAL, and I don't know about you, but I appreciate that. Last thing I need when I'm getting my 'stache tamed is some bottle blonde Bambi grinning up in my face with one of those ha ha you got witch hairs snickers. Yup, they are true sisters, who know that peri-menapause just aint cool (literally -haha), and will strain their eyes and their backs so that you and I can feel like women again, instead of extras on Bonanza, or that guy from the Treasure of the Sierra Madres who goes, 'Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges! ...I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges! ... Head 'em off at the pass!'

We started with a quick consult where I shared some areas I'd like to treat, then Julie had me make a bunch of expressions to see exactly what and where I would need treatment for. She ended up coming up with a complete plan for me, consisting of different types of injections for different zones depending on what my muscles were doing. I was SO impressed! She is a quick injector and knows exactly what she's doing. I told her I was feeling light headed and she had all the tools I needed to settle my nervous system. I'm so confident in her work and can tell she's an expert! The front desk staff is lovely as well and helped me decide on future treatments and appointments.
