I had a nice pedicure experience here! First time going and it was busy on a Friday afternoon. I had to wait a bit but the staff let me know I could walk around downtown and come back in 30 minutes. There are a lot of add-ons you can do to up your experience including adding on a back massage while you wait for your nails to dry! I only added on a jasmine scrub and it was nice. The foot massage felt great too. The place seems clean and quiet and the staff was all very nice, I plan to come back! read more

I went here looking to get my nails done before work since they're open at 9am. I arrived at my appointment they were pretty busy so I asked the girl if they would be able to finish by 10am n she said yes. I know they wanted the business but they stopped working a girl n came to start my nails I felt bad n I knew the girl was upset so I asked her if she wanted me to reschedule she said no she processed doing my nails I asked for dipping powder she rushed through my service but I feel like one hour is plenty of time to get nails done she applied the dipping powder very thick which I didn't like within a week the nails popped off. I paid about 90$ total tip included for my nails not too last is not a good bargain. The service was okay but the quality was not so great I wouldn't come here to get my nails done again. How long do you expect dip nails to last? Well, if your answer is more than six days then don't bother wasting your time here. I'm new to the area and decided to try Elegance. My first dip lasted ten days. One of my nails fell off and I went back in to have it fixed. Except that someone switched the caps on the dip powder and I ended up with mismatched nails. I went in a few days after that to have my nails completely redone. I was hoping that the first time was a fluke and that my nails would last longer the second time around. I asked for French tip dip nails and was told that I needed to wait another 30 minutes if I wanted that. I didn't have the time to wait, so I just picked a different color. Update as of 5/31/23: New owners and the place has gone down hill since the last time I was in in February (contrary to what they had promoted on their socials). When we entered, we were not greeted like before until one of the girls recognized me and got excited and said hello, then looked at the girl behind the desk (who shot her the world's biggest death glare) and proceeded to go back to her client in front of her while the one behind the desk just stared at me until I walked to her and only then did she greet us. It was then that I noticed there was no more relaxing pop covers and now have a weird jazz playlist that is reminiscent of crappy karaoke backing tracks. Upon looking in the "new and improved" salon, I noticed a few things: they took away the covid-precautions (which, to be fair some of them were a little over the top), only 3 of the nail techs from before the new owners remain (I hope they find a new home for work soon), and the girl who took care of my nails tried to upsell me on a foot mask that I did my need, but then didn't give me the basic foot scrub whereas the girl who took care of my mother didn't upsell at all and gave her the foot/leg scrub. And to make matters even worse, the girl who greeted at the desk us looked at me like I grew a third eye after I politely asked why the liners were removed from the pedicure bowls (which should be a bare minimum for any salon for hygiene purposes). Needless to say, she glared at me the entire time and I felt extremely uncomfortable and awkward. After my mother and I left, I began inspecting my nails in the sunlight. I noticed that the girl who did my nails didn't scrap away any of the excess powder from under the nails, so I had it CAKED and had to remove it myself. Thankfully my mother had one of the 3 remaining girls from Anne's ownership and they look good. This is NOT the quality service I've come to know and love from Anne and her employees. This place has turned into the equivalent of a mall salon with shady practices that girls going for their first nail appointments go to until they realize that stand alone salons offer better services. I wanted to give the new owner a chance since this seems recent, but I cannot be more disappointed in today's service I received. After almost 10 years of being a loyal patron of this establishment (been here since I started at NCC), it is now time for me to find a new salon to call home. read more

I made an appointment to fix a chipped nail an hour before I needed to be at work. I had not gotten my nails there but I work down the street so why not pop in. The manager was annoyed that they were fixing a nail that they had not put on themselves. I asked to match my chrome polish and she did not have the same brand. I said that was fine. She made me wait 35 min in a chair soaking a nail that did not need to be soaked bc she wanted nothing to do with me. Then she pawned me off to another girl. I had no problem with her however I was almost needing to be at work. Then the manager said she was charging me 10$ to fix my chipped nail. I said you dont even have the correct polish, you made me wait 35 min, and I'm about to be late for work... a whole new set is 30$ so how is a chipped nail 10$. I paid the 10$ . This place is in downtown Naperville so I was expecting it to be very nice. The space was cramped to say the least. The moment you walk in there is someone yelling at you from across the room. They were very busy and were in a hurry to have us sit down. I went to sit in my chair and again, I had someone screaming at me to pick a color. Of course then they were talking about me in a different language. Once I finally got to sit down, the lady was very rude. She was clearly in a rush to get me out. She barely stopped to see if she was doing her work properly. It was like she was literally going through the motions of her job. I get that you are busy but at least do your job well. I love this nail salon and it's my absolute favorite in the suburbs. I usually get a no chip manicure and signature pedicure. Hannah's great but all of the nail techs here are good! Pricing is on average with every other competing nail salon. I keep going back because my no chip mani's are always applied correctly, and pedicures are always relaxing and done nicely! They're clean, comforting, friendly, and efficient! The one time I had a issue with my no chip mani (a new nail tech had done my nails) I ended up emailing the owner because I didn't want to offend the tech, and to my surprise she kindly gave me a gift card for a no chip manicure the next time I went in! First of all I was in a total BIND! I needed a polish change quickly and had forgotten to make an appointment. I called and told my sad story to the nice girl that answered the phone. No problem they can squeeze me in! I arrived like a tornado and, to my DELIGHT, I found out that they have CND Vinylux which is my favorite polish! Then I had to run back to the car to find a shoe to match polish with and they helped me figure out what would look best. I was in and out super fast! The spa is clean and everyone is very friendly. The owner even joked that I must be Cinderella with my one shoe. I do recommend an appointment...if everyone came in like a tornado there would be a great big line! read more

One nail instantly chipped an hour after leaving so I did go back the next day and they fixed it. But the general quality of this manicure was very unlike any I've gotten there previously. I felt rushed. I decided to pay beforehand, which I never do, and I put a tip on my card. The tech questioned the amount of my tip - so I can only assume the quality of my manicure and the hurried nature of it was due to the tech not being happy with my tip amount. A week after the no chip manicure was done, two other nails started peeling. I will chalk this up to one bad day as I've hand many other positive and good experiences at this salon. read more

Honestly, this was the worst set of nails I've ever had. To add insult to injury, it was also the most overpriced. The tech was very nice, but did a horrendous job. To my knowledge CDC cleanliness guidelines were not followed as she used a very old, and very used looking file on me, no wrapped tools, but I was promised they were disinfected using the "uv light box". I opted for a full set, regular polish as this is not my normal salon, so I wasn't willing to go all out on a chance, boy am I glad. The polish chipped the next day, and it would be $6 a nail to correct. It's been a full 7 days, and 4 nails have completely popped off. Honestly, this was the worst way to spend $55. I honestly wish I could give this review zero stars as there were no redeeming qualities. read more

I have tried most nail salons in Naperville. This is my regular nail place for manicures and pedicures. Hannah is the best nail tech though they are all good. Ann also is very accommodating in scheduling. The place is super clean and inviting. They are warm, friendly, helpful and do a great job with the care, detail, and attention to ensure nails are perfect. . The pricing is comparable with what you will find in the area. My friend & I went in for pedicures as a Christmas present. We decided to stay for manicures as well. My friend paid for both of us & left a tip via her credit card. As we were putting on our jackets, one of the women doing our nails came back to us and said: "Do you expect us to split this tip?" We were both shocked & surprised as a decent tip for both women was left originally. The woman then proceeded to tell my friend how much they expected to be tipped, she specifically stated: "we want $36 dollars." I have been coming to Elegance for years and never had any real issues, except for my last visit. I called early and made an appointment for 3 pedicures later that day. When we arrived for our pedi's we were taken care of right away, but it was obvious they were trying to close early and rushing us to get in and out. We were the only customers, which was odd since they are usually very crowded. We were not asked which pedi service we wanted, no massage, basically just change polish and out of there... We wanted to sit under the dryer for a bit, but they were sweeping around us.. our appt was for 5:30 and they were supposed to be open until 7. we were out of there by 6:10. First time visit for a friend of mine too and it was a horrible experience for her. If they didn't have time for us, they should've said so when i called or asked if i could come earlier.. I was in town over the weekend. And busted dip powder nail. So i decided i would call around to get in. This place got me in I was super excited. There was the owner and another worker. They had lots of dip powder choices so i thought they knew what they were doing. It took me well over a hour to get these done while having all the women come over and talk about my nails when getting them done. They busted off 2 days later. I told the lady I needed sns and a pedicure and she said ok, I get in the pedicure chair and ask the lady if she will be doing my nails as well, then the owner came up and said no you said just pedicure. Yay for a nail place in downtown Naperville! Sure, you could go to the salon, but this place is super cute and the staff are so friendly. I've gotten a pedicure and manicure, and both have been long lasting and very professional. So many places around nail places put a lot of pressure on you to get additional treatments or "spa" pedicures. This place had no pressure at all, and even threw in a shoulder massage at the end for free (which is great!) The shop is clean and very pretty. I think it would be a great place to have a pamper party or a pre-wedding/prom/special event party too. While you could do a little better price wise by going down Ogden a little bit, you can't do better in downtown Naperville. Elegance Nail and Spa is a great find. read more

This place is a nice place to kick your feet up and get your toes painted after a long day of hiking around downtown Naperville. The first time I went there, I called ahead and they were booked up the wazoo. I made an appointment for my friend and me for half an hour later, half an hour before they closed. They stayed open just to finish us up and they didn't rush to get out of there -- they did a great job and is one of the rare nail salons that throw in a free shoulder rub. We decided to host a little pre-wedding mani-pedi session there and they were extremely accommodating, even allowing us to bring in our own champagne and little cakes. They helped us move our stuff around (including champagne glasses and little cakes!) as we got manicures and pedicures. I was very impressed and pleased with them. read more

I was excited to see a no-frills nail salon in downtown Naperville and it met my expectations. I'm disappointed and I hate to write this because I've been to Elegance a handful of times and my nails have looked ok after each visit but today, they don't! Maybe I'm spoiled because I live in the city? I got a no chip and the color and clear polish is all over my skin and cuticles. My nail tech seemed rushed the entire time and it shows. I scheduled a regular pedi and a no chip mani and I'm "meh" about both. For starters, the care and attention to my toes and feet was fairly minimal. My big toes look like I painted them in the dark. As far as my fingers, looking at them as I type this on my phone is, again, disappointing. Maybe the woman who did my nails doesn't work often, that's a possibility and I can accept it. Sometimes, grabbing an appointment with a random person on a busy weekend is hit or miss. Overall, I'm disappointed over the quality. Just be careful, ladies. Request a more experienced tech here, otherwise, you run the risk of an obviously messy and rushed job. read more
