I have only been to this salons a few times. I am looking for a salon that was professional and knowledgeable. I thought I found it! Sadly, I was mistaken! Today, I arrived (without an appointment). However, that wasn't a problem before. They take walk-ins. This is a relatively small shop. Very clean and the technicians are very nice. Once I was greeted, I was asked what serves I wanted. Wanted fill (and specifically asked for cat eye design), pedicure and brow waxing. I was assured no problem, pick polish. I was then taken to get pedicure. While the pedicure was decent, was not like others I've had there. But, not enough to complain. I paid for Spa, so it took longer, but today not worth the money! I should have left then. After that the day got dark! was then taken to the technician's table. The fill wasn't bad, not great either. But, time was ticking! She had little to no experience with Cat Eyes! She kept asking another technician how to do it. The tech actually stopped her work to show her.....after a long time.... my technician says she can do it and the technician that does know has an appointment and could I come back the next day! By this time, 2 hours of my time passes.... she fooled around so long, the polish started to have bubbles under the paint! I told her to stop! My problem is I SPECIFICALLY asked for a SERVICE! I was not aware that she had little to no knowledge of how to do it. Meanwhile, she talking to several of the technicians in her language about God knows what, but most likely about me! (Insult to injury is ...THEN, she wanted to charge like she did the complete job! There was NO polish on my nails! I agree I should have been charged to pedicure. But she wanted to argue about she painted, I told her to remove it and I was done! She argued but I painted.....my argument is you didn't render the services I requested before I agreed to allow you to work! She wanted payment for what she was capable of - not what I requested! Finally, she agreed that she charge half cause she DID the fill! So, to me....accepting to do a job you can't do is LYING! She stated she only did it one other time! Yet accepted the work and want to charge like she knew HOW to do it! No technician has the right to change what a Customer ordered, get mad like she did her job or get upset because the Customer refuses to return the next day after dealing with a undertrained technician! Had she been HONEST, I had Cat Eyes one before at this location. I would have made an appointment. She should have charged me NOTHING for the fill! She was incapable of doing what I requested. Then, stood there like I was going to TIP her! I should have charged her for frustration, wasting my time and giving me a headache! Why all of this happen? I question the integrity of this technician. Although I loved the other technicians I've had..... There are too many other nail salons looking for good customers that pay cash and good tips! I left found another place not far from that location! So, lost more time and money. The new place was awesome. I'm happy! I will NEVER return to that salon again! read more

The pedicure here was indeed a treat! The pamper aside, all I really care about at a pedicure session is the esthetician's attention to detail. They got that right here! The lady that did my toes took great care to make them look pretty. Definitely a great find in the neighborhood. read more

My good friend and I have gone here two times and I have no complaints about the workers or the service. They are a no-frills place and are very clean. I don't like people trying to sell me into extra services and they give me what I need. They're very friendly as well. I would have to dock some points, however, because their nail polish selection is not that great. In a season where the mint greens and new colors are ever-popular, they don't carry any! If you decide to come after work, you should make an appointment just to be safe because I've always been there at 6 pm on a weekday and they always have a steady flow of clients until after I leave. A regular spa pedicure is $25. I have no complaints. Will keep coming back. read more

We both refuse to get our nails done anywhere else, because you can't beat the quality and service of Elegance Nails. I get a gel manicure and it lasts longer than any other I've ever had. Recently had my nails done here again. The backstory... I used to always get my nails done at this shop consistently for 2 or 3 years- then I "fell on hard times" and the splurges were minimum- but they always did an awesome job, the shop was clean and they had additional services like keep a box with your name on it so that the tools were only for you....that was pretty cool! Also, I had a few accidents within a day or so of having my nails done and they always allowed me to have them fixed (only like twice...) but that was also great customer service! If I still lived or worked near the shop I would still be a customer! read more

The reviews were right-I was at Fair Oaks Mall and wanted to know somewhere good to get a pedicure so I searched on my phone and read these reviews. THe girls were very nice, the price is good, I got a french pedicure for 30-she did a great job and listened to me when I said I wanted the white part thinner! The chair was brand new and one of the best chair massages I've ever had and the foot massage was good too. Would like to try the deluxe spa pedicure next time for 40! I highly recommend! read more

Good job for good price. I was spoiled when I lived in Los Angeles and could get a manicure & pedicure for $20 TOTAL. So, while the prices are definitely higher in this area, I am happy with Elegance Nails. It can get crowded, so either make an appoinment or go right when it opens, which is what I do. The employees are pleasant and make an attempt at conversation. Overall, it is a nice, friendly atmosphere and I make it a habit to visit at least once a month. read more

This place is amazing! My whole family goes to the owner Nancy and she is just phenomenal. She's been doing my nails for about 3 years now and my cousins for about 8 years I believe. I always make an appointment with her so I never have to wait and she does a full set of acrylics with gel polish in under 45 min, which saves me so much time without sacrificing quality. My last salon used to take over an hour and will never come close to how amazing my nails look after I leave Elegance Nails. If you've been contemplating coming there just go! Went there because the reviews were good. My gf got french manicure which started peeling about 8 hrs after we walked out. They also cut her while removing the cuticles so she was bleeding for awhile. Perhaps it's a hit or miss, depending on who you get to work on you but for $50 this place sucked. I had Linda for a spa pedicure (ah-mazing massage!) and a French shellac manicure. She was wonderful, only asked once if I wanted my eyebrows waxed. The time she took to get my manicure just right was definitely above and beyond what I've seen at any other nail salon. The strip mall is certainly not the best looking location, but it's easily ignored once you settle in to your pedicure! read more

I decided to treat myself to a pedicure, and based on reviews from fellow Yelpers, I arrived at the salon as a walk in. I had to wait a little while (they were slammed!) but it was reasonable. I was beyond thrilled that the massage chairs had arms that completely flipped up, which is a big plus as I am disabled and often have a difficult time climbing into the chairs. These were easy to get into as I could sit and then turn around to put my feet in the water. The technician was very helpful, carrying my purse and offering to set my crutch to the side. I would have loved to go for the spa pedicure, but I lacked the money. However the basic pedicure was still amazing! She must have massaged my feet and legs for at least 10 minutes. It was pure bliss! And the chair was even better than others described! I will definitely be back and plan to bring friends. The shop is rather small and cramped, but the friendly and helpful staff more than make up for it. read more

I've been going here for YEARS I bring people friends family etc faithfully UNLESS I'm out of town and I have never been so unhappy (and I've left there before with small "issues" that I can get over but this time no...I feel like for going there for years they should have a little more compassion and respect for their clients). 1)The shape of my nails IS not what I went in for a fill with 2) my eye brows are NOT even, I had someone tell me wow that person should not be doing eye brows you should try threading.... is someone going to ATTEMPT to fix it. Like really?!.... the woman who did my nails tried to sell me something added in for a pedicure when I've been going for years, I get the same pedicure whenever I go- unless I request the spa (which is different) I'm aware of what I want when I call to make my appointment along with my moms. She couldn't find the color I wanted that wasn't gel (when they have the color in non gel) and wanted me to do a completely different color in fact insisted and was giving me attitude that I didn't want that color.... I've struggled to find a good nail salon in Fairfax. I wasn't happy with any that I tried. I discovered Nancy at Elegance nails and see her every 2-3 weeks for a gel manicure, sometimes with acrylic. She is a perfectionist, each nail is perfect and very thin and natural looking. Her manicures last 2-3 weeks. There's nothing fancy about the place, it's a run down little shopping center, but she does a great job so I'll be returning. read more

I went to this salon because of Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. I've had my nails done at least a dozen times there and am always pleased. The lady I go to always is so friendly and does a perfect job on my hails. My nails are thin and split so she always puts acrylic repair spots on them before the polish so they are stronger.
