I really wanted to give this place a good rating. The massage itself was decent for a budget-friendly massage parlor, but the experience afterward completely changed my opinion. Before I could even get dressed, I was repeatedly asked how much I was going to tip and was told the tip had to be paid in cash. I had actually planned on leaving a generous tip, but being pressured and demanded to tip immediately changed that. Oh, and let's not forget that they also require you to pay for the massage upfront before the service even begins. When I questioned why I was being pressured over a tip, the employee tried to block the door and insisted that every customer is required to tip. Tipping should be voluntary, and situations like this make the overall experience very uncomfortable. Tipping culture is getting completely out of control, especially at some of these massage parlors. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. You're required to pay upfront before services even begin, and the staff was rude from the moment I walked in - no greeting, just "cash or card?" The massage therapist was overly aggressive and left me in pain afterward. What made it even worse was how pushy they were about tips, specifically demanding cash tips multiple times throughout the visit. This massage spa is located on the second level of the building with no signage outside (as of January 2026). We booked a one-hour deep tissue massage session for two on Friday and were assigned to separate rooms at arrival (no couples room like most other massage parlors). Staff was friendly and professional, and my masseuse was amazing. She used both strength and technique to provide relief and relaxation during my treatment, a combination of stretching and targeting muscles in the most effective way for each body part. This includes my back, neck, head, shoulders, and arms, but also the parts that other massage therapists rarely do effectively, such as the inner hamstrings, shins, and peroneal muscles of the legs. The face rubbing was unnecessary IMO. But the overall massage, paired with soothing piano melodies playing in the background, made for a pleasurable experience. Took my friend to the elegance spa since I found it on google and yelp. I have not gone to this area at first due to the pandemic, busy schedules and also my focus on going to Footlax. How do I start? Well, first of all, when me and my fd got there, we didn't get any greetings. The first thing they said was " cash or card?". I thought that was very unprofessional. After we told her we had a appointment and that we are paying cash, one of the lady said just pay her. We were then quicky shown which room we are going to be in. Half way undressing, my massage lady just came in, no knock or anything and she didn't even leave the room . She watched me finish undressing. I felt kinda violated! My fd massage lady did the same thing to her, walked into her halfway undress but at least hers went out and waited outside. Also, half of my room is like their storage area full of office supplies. My massage lady basically just rub oil all over my body. I felt like she did a basic massage and not a deep tissue massage. My sister said her massuse is good. I also booked for 90 minutes but the last 30 minutes was just massaging my head and rubbing my legs and arms. The bed is okay but I did notice that there was layer of very thin paper on top of the bed. I am thinking maybe they just change the paper but not the bed sheet after each client. That's just my guess. The last part is the tipping. My massage lady was just standing at the door asking for her tip. I gave her 20% tips and she said " one hr is between a certain percentage. Since I did 1.5hr, you need to pay me more. I ended paying her close to 28%. I have never been ask to pay that much tip before. I felt like I just got rob. Overall, I had better experience elsewhere and will not be coming back to this place. read more

I'd recommend this place to someone who wants a cheap option for a professional massage. It was $67 for an hour of deep tissue massage. At first, the masseuse warmed my body up for 3 mins, and then eventually found 2 muscle knots. She eventually rubbed the crap out of both which was honestly painful, but it worked with getting rid of my knot. I eventually fell asleep when she worked the rest of my body. She did not wipe me down very well at all. First of all they waiting like 15to 20 minutes to figure out if they can give me a massage second, they told me to go to the room so I can get my massage. I waited about 15 minutes then the lady comes back into the room and says sorry we have an appointment you gotta leave. I was so confused. Hello Elaine, I appreciate you looking this over "very thoroughly" because it was clear that you missed the line that stated, "but the lady was demanding more after we handed only a single 10$ bill when we were about to hand over more." You clearly missed the part where we were badgered to hand over more tips when we were already digging in our wallets for cash. You also clearly didn't review what happened thoroughly the day of. I tipped my masseur $15 bucks even though she ushered me out of my room quickly, talked extremely rudely in Mandarin when you didn't expect me to understand, and my partner tipped $11 even though I told him to not tip you guys, after all, that's happened. That is already super generous for the aftermath of what happened and being asked to tip more when we were already pulling out bills. Rather than focusing on the tip aspect, try to focus on giving your masseurs a living wage. It was pathetic that they were trying to defend you when it was clear that they are being underpaid, otherwise, why would they be following people around and begging for tips? read more

This place was great. I read the reviews and figured $1/minute was worth trying at least. I booked a 90-minute couples massage (but we had to do separate rooms). I think my MT was named Tina and she did a great job getting my knots out and making sure the pressure wasn't too hard/ too soft . My gf was also very happy with her massage but forgot to ask for the name of the MT. I tipped $30 in advance for each massage ($60 total). I used to be a server so I always anticipate to tip the norm & avoid any awk scenarios of leaving not enough. If you're a massage enthusiast, it might be worth it for you to visit a more upscale location, but if you look for a good price and a good massage, this spot worked great. I have visited this place in the past and have loved their massage. I got the 90mins. It started off ok but later felt rushed. The therapist didn't complete the front and it just felt off. Till now I was thinking maybe be I'll try a different therapist next time. As the session ended the therapist said asked for 20% tip or higher. I'm all for tipping and I have in the past tipped Atleast 15% and higher for good service but to demand for 20% or more outright was just unprofessional. She was so rude about it. Such an unprofessional experience. Never going back to this place. Just not worth it. Just to clarify, she massaged only up until my knees.. also the pressure was not adequate it just felt like she was applying oil. I think the customers is entitled to leave a review of what was experienced and respectfully you weren't present there. I do see other reviews posted about forcing to tip more. I have always wanted to try this place but didn't go since they didn't have a couple massage room. However, I was really sore on Sunday and it was one of the few places open past 6 pm so I decided to just go for it. I called and made an appointment over phone. Note that they're not fluent in English so they didn't understand anything I said outside the typical massage world lingo. When you check in, you pay for your massage first before you're taken to your room. The room is clean with peaceful music playing on the background. The sheets to cover yourself was pretty thin so I did get cold, specifically after they wipe me down with a hot towel. My masseuse didn't introduce herself but did ask me if there were any areas I wanted to focus on. She didn't use much technique and didn't get my knot in my neck out. There were a few other small things I didn't like such as leaving the room to get the towels when I wasn't covered. Overall, I felt like I just paid $65 for someone to rub my body so I was pretty disappointed. My husband on the other hand said he had a great massuese who had amazing technique and hits all the pressure points like a chiropractor so I guess it really depends on who you get here. read more

My friend and I paid for a 60 minute massage but only received 50 minutes. The massage itself was good but our masseuse kept coming in and out to help the front desk or do whatever they had to do, so in reality, we probably only got 45 minutes of the actual massage. As we were waiting, another customer was upset and demanded for a full refund since he did not receive his full 90 minutes of massage. Thinking back, we probably should've spoken up as well but now it makes me wonder if they purposely jip 10 minutes off of everyone's massage ? Had a couples massage today with Lily and Lulu. Lily was good and kept the medium pressure most of the time but I am going to ask for medium/hard next time. Skilled and smooth. Lulu was attentive and lighter pressure even tho my husband asked for hard. Even still, we both super enjoyed the 60 mins as it was relaxing! Also, it's hard to find a decent massage place that doesn't break the bank. I love places like this that don't overcharge so that I can leave a nice tip. These masseuse work so hard. Weird and super unprofessional. I was using a gift certificate I got for my birthday. My husband figured he might as well get a massage too. Immediately upon arrival, they demanded payment up front. But no greeting just asked for payment. Then told us which room to go to with no further instructions. My masseur came and said, "take those all off and lie down. Face down." Then left. The massage itself was pretty good. Not sure if it's because I really needed it or if it was really that good. Now the worst part. I came out of the bathroom and found the lady that charged us at the beginning asking me if I'm going to pay her. I said I already paid. Then in a harsh tone she asked if I was going to tip her and that husband gave her $20. I was thinking "$20!?!" That's a little steep. I looked up 18% on my phone and it was $11. She pulled out her phone to scan her Venmo app. She watched me like a HAWK as I typed $11. She said "NO! Your husband gave $20. You give $20." She wasn't even the one that massaged me!! Owner responded stating we were offended by the tip question. No, we were not offended. We were baffled and shocked that question was asked. If service provided was great or even good, we would've tipped but I was in pain for almost a week and my friend's ache did not go away. If you, as an owner cannot take criticism based on customer's experience - don't come attacking the customer because we are giving YOU our honest opinion. I yelp a lot and would NOT give a fake opinion on a place. I'm all about honest experiences and this unfortunately was not a great experience. For you to say that what happened or what I stated was a lie, is just unprofessional of you. Instead, take the criticism - all of the low stars on your page and do your best to correct or figure how things can be done better in the future. Tips should not be mandated and if it is - you should just include into your pricing as tip service percentage instead of forcing customers to tip. $20 tip is better than no tip when you guys asked for a tip despite our not so great experience. read more

I want to start by saying that my massage was actually pretty good. I'd rate the massage closer to a 4! Tina was very consistent, strong pressure (almost too strong), and I felt like the clean room, and heated bed were a definite plus. My experience was a little disappointing to say the least. When I arrived to the spa at 9:25 for my 9:30 massage, the doors were still locked. I actually walked up at the same time as the woman (Tina) who opened the building. She rushed to get me and my friend checked in. She immediately charged us the full price of the massages- and was very abrupt about it. She spoke only a few words of English. It was a very awkward welcoming to say the least. She pointed to rooms 1 & 2 and shuffled us inside without saying a word. I've had a massage before so I helped myself to getting onto the table to get ready. My friend on the other hand had no idea what to do and was left waiting for over 10 min before her massage person came in who asked her why she wasn't on the table ready to go. I laid there trying to mentally prepare for the massage after such an awkward experience getting checked in. I felt so embarrassed for my first time friend who was there. I could hear the womans voice when she walked into the room to find my friend still dressed. My friend kept saying "I'm sorry, I didn't know. No one told me anything". The first 15 min of my massage was not great. There were people running into the spa- all late workers. They were frantically cleaning up the spa- the sound of vacuuming and running footsteps was all I could hear. Tina kept opening the door and talking to her coworkers who were trying to catch up from being late. It was a very informal and unsettling experience for me. BUT I really wanted to enjoy this massage. So I put all that out of my head and really focused on receiving the massage. Which was pretty good like I said. I felt very happy with my massage. It was a very firm massage which has left me extremely sore the rest of the day. But maybe your into that! The worst part of the experience came after the massage. My friend was treating me to this massage She had already paid for the massage at the beginning of our appointment and I finished about 10 min before she did. Tina walked me toward the hallway and said something that sounded like "you pay me". I told her yes my friend paid for my massage already. She looked at me so bizarre. I sat in the front room waiting for my friend and Tina kept standing in the hallway staring me down. My friends massage therapist came out. Tina told her something. Then that massage therapist pulled out $40 cash from her pocket. Said "she paid me, you need to pay her" while she pointed at Tina. It finally clicked that she was upset that I hadn't tipped her! I was so embarrassed because my friend had paid for my massage and I didn't know if that $40 was for both of the therapists or for just hers. So I asked my friend if she paid the tips already. She said she did. But Tina and the other woman insisted we pay more for a tip. My friend pulled out another $20 to cover my portion of the tip. Tina literally huffed and puffed and angrily took the $20! And complained to her friend that she didn't get more. Like seriously!? I've never experienced such a terrible experience like that. She was really upset she got a $20 tip. For that reason alone I am giving their spa a 1 star review. She was so rude it's almost unbelievable. I still can't believe that happened. What a shame. I really could have and did looked past all the other unprofessional things that took place. But the way Tina acted about her tip money, following me around, staring me down was so upsetting. The massage was good, the overall experience and poor customer service was awful. Beware! Your $20 tip may not be good enough, and they will sure make you feel badly for not tipping more.
