Ive been going to Elegance Spa for many years! The service and staff here are amazing! Elaine is a very gracious owner and goes out of her way to accommodate appointments (sometimes even past closing hours!) for customers. Mom and pop businesses like this with ownership that cares are hard to find these days and its a breath of fresh air for the community! The massage staff are very attentive and highly trained! Although English isnt the first language for many of the staff on site, they really make an effort to provide what is asked for! I have had especially good experiences with Mia, Coco and Cindy. just be sure to speak up if you have any areas that need more attention, more pressure etc! Elegance spa is also one of the more hygenic and clean facilities that I have gone to here in the south bay. I went here based on a recommendation ! The massage was good she did a great job ! The issues come in 1. Questionable how clean they are she had some kind of a mesh paper barrier so she didn't have to change the sheets 2. She walked in as I was getting dressed left the door open while I was trying to put my bra on and was shouting at me "okay okay okay" as in get the $u$k out. We booked an appointment last minute, hustled on over, and we're taken to separate rooms immediately upon arriving. The spa is located UPSTAIRS and you'll enter a moody, quiet, clean waiting area. Payment is expected upfront with a $2.00 additional fee for cards. Upon entering your personal room, you'll be asked to undress and there is a sheet that is rolled up for you to cover yourself. The masseuse enters and gets straight to massaging, there was no introduction. And as tired as I was, I didn't mind the lack of intro. The start with your back, work down your body, and end with your arms. My only complaint is the smacking that takes place as the end to bring you back to life. My body was so tense and I was dealing with a pretty stressful situation so I thought, why not a massage?! Scheduling an appointment through their website is horrible. It will take you through the MindBody app to register and then it leads to nothing. I'm not new to Mindbody I definitely know it's not me. I ended up calling the place and a lady picks up, starts speaking Cantonese, and after a minute she says, "hello?" I thought I had the wrong number for a minute but it really was the place lol. I told her I wanted a 90 min massage and was able to get in within the hour - woohoo! Got there, checked-in, waited a few minutes, and the masseuse comes out and greets me. She takes me to the room where she gave me privacy to undress completely. She started and ended on time. It was completely 90 min. The massage itself was SO relaxing. She cracked every part of my body to a point where I was almost embarrassed that it kept happening. She checked-in with me here and there to see if I was okay with the pressure, which I totally liked. All massages are private. They do not have a communal room (which I prefer anyway). Honestly worst massage I have ever received. My masseuse left the room multiple times, continually tossed the oil bottle onto the bed between my legs, her phone rang incessantly, her nails were so long I was constantly being scraped and she ended the massage by taking those nails and violently scratching my scalp. The place is clean and my massage started on time. My masseur was Vicki and she did a great job. She was checking on me the entire time if the pressure needed to be adjusted and made my first time here very enjoyable. I had A LOT of knots on my upper back and was in serious pain before coming in but I could feel that most of the knots are gone today and I woke up without my usual intense back pain. Since it was my first time, I did not really ask for any specific type of massage but it felt like a combination of Swedish and deep tissue. I will definitely ask next time. In my opinion, the pricing here is very reasonable. Please keep in mind that this is not your typical foot massage place, you have your own private room and the massage quality is pretty good. I also don't understand the reviews complaining about tips and how the masseurs wait for you to tip them. If you have ever been to other foot massage places, this is completely normal and why is it rude to wait for tips when they did a great job on your massage for a reasonable price? They also keep the massage price lower so just save everyone time, bring some extra cash and tip them right after your massage. I've been here twice and even brought another customer the 2nd time. The process is the same. It's $60 for 60 mins or $85 for 90 mins and they have listed Swedish, deep tissue, thai, etc for all massages. You don't tell them which one upfront you tell your masseuse and you pay upfront. The masseuse was fine and does a thorough job, but here is where I have an issue. After it's done they are waiting for the tip at the end, like right outside the door hand out. Which I actually asked when I paid upfront if I can add tip. The girl told me no after you pay tip. They have a $2 charge for cards but I was told if I pay tip after then I will not have an extra charge. So that made me feel this charge is bogus. I came out of my massage, asked to pay 20% and my masseuse said she doesn't know. So the girl in the front said she would help. I said 20% off $85 and she was confused so I said $17. She then tells me, "why, was it not a good massage?" Wow! I'm not nickel and diming anyone. It's 20%! I said it was good for which she says customary is $19 or $20 tip. Ok, so you want to get $2 or $3 more by making me feel like I was being cheap with a 20% tip. Fine. I left $20 and am not coming back. My sister had recommended this place to me a while back and I thought I don't need a massage and moved on. While planning out birthday day plans for my fiancé since he does a lot of physical labor at work I thought he may really enjoy a massage. To surprise him I called for a same day appointment, requested for two 1 hour long massages for my partner and myself. The lady on the phone was so sweet about it and got me in the same day!! Once we walked in we paid and we're told to wait a few minutes which was no problem at all! Since it was our first massage ever we didn't really know what to do as far as how naked you get/ how to cover yourself to be appropriate and were visibly nervous when we got in our separate rooms. Both our experiences were amazing (I didn't get the ladies name although I wish I did to request them next time!) my masseuse asked what kind of pressure I would like, took her time and I turned into mush, when she asked me to roll over I responded "I'll try!" Embarrassing I know but I'm a fairly large girl, she was so sweet and patient, firm as well (loved every slightly painful second of it!) The facility is clean and quiet, she was so focused on me I felt so attended to! There was music playing that was also making the experience so relaxing on top having an amazing massage. After my massage was done I got dressed tipped the wonderful women that gave me a life changing experience and walked back to the front desk to request to tip more since I felt the cash tip I initially gave was definitely not enough for the care that they gave us. When I was reunited with my better half we laughed and told each other the amazing time we had and are already planning on our next visit back! As for the other reviews I read I don't understand the expectation on not having to tip, working in service myself tips are not guaranteed but boy are they appreciated. If you got a good massage, then regardless you need to tip them, and the average tip amount is $20/ per hour, and $25-$30 for 90 min massage. Since my last review, I've given Elegance Spa - Milpitas a couple of more tries. Now that I understand their flow of operations, I no longer have had any issues with paying for services these next times around. I've been paying upfront for the cost of the massage service only and then tipped in cash directly to the masseuse whatever I found was appropriate based on the quality of the massage that day. One of my most recent massages was from Cindy, and the other was a massage by CiCi. They were both great so I would be totally satisfied with whomever is available when I need to schedule another appointment. In my last review I complained that I felt very uncomfortable and vulnerable, because the masseuse at that time used a single towel to cover me. One thing that I appreciated about my massage session with CiCi was that she used a flat top sheet to cover me. Cindy didn't use a sheet, although my appointment with her did occur at least a month before my appointment with CiCi. So perhaps utilizing the top sheet was now part of their new process? This should definitely be a requirement, nonetheless, but if not I would just go to CiCi for this reason in addition to her being a good masseuse. read more

Make sure to bring cash with you for tip. Waited for less than 5 mins while they prepared our room. They take you in & have you undressed. My massage lady was Yoyo?
