This recently opened hotel is an oasis in the beautiful desert town. The lobby is open and inviting with plenty of comfortable furniture to lounge in. The interior design is graced with soft earth tones. I could live here for an eternity. The back patio is warm and cozy, the available fireplaces and barbecues offer a reminder of home. Beyond that is a swimming pool that stretches out with plenty of room. Also of note is a strong and reliable WiFi connection. The hotel room comes with a kitchenette, including an electric cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, juicer, silverware, dining ware and surprisingly large refrigerator. Again, I could live here and be content. Aside from the comfort and amenities, the staff here deserves especially great praise. Shout outs to: Martha, Michael, Willy and Reason, for making my stay here especially comfortable. I thank you for your attentiveness and hospitality. It's the little things that matter, getting me salt, pepper and tobacco sauce for my breakfast. Bringing me extra water without needing me to ask. The early checkin and late checkout accommodations. Ensuring that I had a conference room available for an important business call. Checking in on that air conditioner that was running a bit too strong. You all made me feel at home and responded to all of my requests without expressing any ounce nuisance or inconvenience. We booked a room at the Element for an unexpected getaway to Sedona. It being a new hotel my boyfriend wanted to test it out. We attempted to book at another hotel but it booked up. So we splurged on the room at The Element. It was pricey but the room was sleek, modern and comfortable. We booked a studio. It had a pool/patio view. The room was fully equipped with dishes, a mid-size refrigerator, and a smart TV. The shower was large and stocked with a refreshing scented body wash and shampoo/conditioner. They had bikes to rent and ride through the city that were disinfected after every use. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. Overall, the stay was great. I'm writing this review shortly after checking in. Upon checking in, I was told we were on the second floor, I asked Patricia if we could be moved to the 3rd floor, she said she couldn't because they have a big party, no problem. I made a comment about us being here for our wedding anniversary (Oct 6), and I was pleasantly surprised for her kindness and moving us to the highest floor and 2 complimentary drinks for my husband and I (Thank you Patricia!). When we booked the room, we chose the 1 bedroom King Suite with balcony on a higher level...Unfortunately, the room we were given did not have a balcony or view - I was really looking forward to enjoying the evening on the patio, but perhaps it was my fault for requesting to be on a higher level. We booked our hotel stay with Elements Sedona for December 28th 2022- January 2nd 2023. During our 6 day stay, we were told that housekeeping would come clean our room once every other day. By 5pm on our third day, our room was still not cleaned, and we ended up having to go down to the front desk to request new towels. When we asked about the issue, we were told that there was a staff shortage and that they would make sure to put our room on the list for the next day. By day 4 of our stay, we came back to the hotel again around 5pm, and saw that our room was still not cleaned. When we asked the front desk again, we were again told they were short-staffed and that the priority was to have the cleaning staff clean and turn over the rooms for new guests. We again had to pick up our own towels at the front desk, as well as a replacement of toilet paper and kleenex. We recently became members of Marriott Bonvoy and were hoping to establish Marriott Bonvoy as our hotel chain. However, this stay has been very disappointing. If they are unable to clean our room, the least they could do is to replace our towels, toilet paper, and kleenex once during our 6 day stay. Also, being "short-staffed" should not be the reason guests are not provided the basic services that they are promised by the hotel. When guests book a hotel, there are certain expectations that the hotel should meet for their guests. It is on the hotel to anticipate and plan for staffing needs. Overall, we were just very disappointed in our first stay with the Marriott Bonvoy hotel. At this point, we are just hoping to get our room cleaned at least once during our 6 day stay and not have to stop by the front desk for basic amenities again. read more

Smart TVs so you can log into your own accounts! Cons: BRIGHT FLASHING smoke alarm in the bed room!! TVs channel menu does not match what it says. Night staff leaves something to be desired. This is a great little hotel. Studio rooms with Kitchen is perfect for preparing meals and saving money eating out every day: Beds are comfy, rooms are cozy and super clean. The only thing that would make it better is a room with a view. However, the best way to take in the view is to just get outside and hike it! The location is great and near many popular trailheads. Beautiful, new hotel and more comfortable than others I've stayed at. This is great for an extended stay with the kitchen and amenities offered onsite. The property and room are clean and you have everything you need onsite including grills by the pool, a laundry facility and small gym. The parking situation is a little rough at night due to the restaurant next door that patrons use the hotel parking to go to. It bothered me that parking was $10, but we couldn't really find anything near the door at night since everyone used the hotel's spaces for the restaurant next door. The location is about 20 minutes from all the action, but I'd stay again. read more

So this is my family's experience. During covid they only allowed so many people in the pool at a time (to me that was great) So we read the hours for the pool before we went up for the evening. The pool hour read 6am to 10pm. So the next morning we got up VERY early and we were in the lobby by 7:05 am and my husband asked to be let into the pool to which the guy at front desk replied " The pool doesn't open till 8" (to me he sounded annoyed). My husband then said very politely that the sign by the pool said 6am to which the guy replied ( now picture this very condescending) " Well we have a sign that says the pool opens at 8am BECAUSE it opens at 8am) I think the way he spoke to my husband was very rude and if I can speculate for a moment maybe the fact that are family is mixed race has something to do with it or maybe we didn't dress fancy Enough to be spoken to with respect who knows..... But We left cause we aren't going to argue and we came back at 8am and were let into the pool by a different guy at the front desk. Also side note they didn't have hand so in the room but because of covid we already had soap With us so not a huge deal. We stayed there July 12 to the 13th of 2020. read more

Horrible service but very modern good looking place, would not recommend, first I get to my room and the floor was dirty, spots all over the floor, and dust everywhere, I go to tell manager and he gives me another room which wasn't as bad but not very clean, dust bunnies under furniture. Then we go to pool and no towels all empty ! I go to front office to ask for more towels and they tell me they will bring me more and never do ! I had a share a towel with someone, then the next morning for breakfast everything was pretty much gone ! No more coffee, no more bagels, yogurt, lady who was making eggs coughed while no mask worn. & elevator was broken! I was not the only who complaining about all these things. read more

wow so we only stayed here for 1 night but i have some thoughts. marriott bonvoy member here and i've stayed at my fair share of marriotts. i'm kind of surprised by how highly this place is rated on yelp? checked in maybe an hour before 3pm which was nice but that was basically it. the place always seemed understaffed with just one person working check-ins/front desk. got a room across from the elevator(spoiler alert- you can hear all the dings) and right over the street (can also hear cars from inside the room). no soap at the kitchen sink. got charged for something we didn't purchase. did not get a printed bill from our stay and cannot get an email of the bill despite calling the hotel. also have called the hotel directly about the extra charge and left my number and of course haven't gotten a call back. i finally called the main marriott line and who knows if the charge will get credited back to me. i usually try to stay at marriotts to get points but pickings are slim in sedona and the regular marriott was sold out when we booked. there's a nice looking hilton across the way which is probably nice. other cons- we didn't get a breakfast bag, pool is small and outdoor space is limited. pros- clean room (though noisy) and clean gym will definitely be finding another hotel for our next sedona trip read more

Stayed at this hotel over Spring Break 2021, and from start to finish had an awesome time! Of course the location, Sedona, Arizona is a treat unto itself, but this quite new hotel was also a highlight. The heated pool is truly heated, and the jacuzzi is divine. We spent time every single day for eight days in those two. The staff is exceptional. I would like to especially recognize the front desk manager Patricia, and her team Robin and Michelle H. They really took care of us from check in to departure. Reisen, the bartender, was also a favorite of mine, good drinks, but also good company. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Sedona area. read more

Booked Element Sedona as a quick last minute family getaway, with the thought really to just use the hotel as a crash pad between adventures. Then we checked in, and didn't leave! Nice hotel with clean modern design, great patio space including "yard" games, and did I mention the pool!! The hot tub and slightly heated pool were exactly what we needed after a long mornin of hiking! Could barely pull our daughter out for dinner:) The breakfast set up was a little different than normal due to precautions taken for COVID, but a necessity. The pancakes were amazing, and happened to be made by Jared their Director is Sales/Marketing. He gave us more than just extra syrup! Lol. Provided my husband with some local hikes, swimming holes, and inside tips on how to do Sedona right:) He went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of, and it was great to have a member of their management team that genuinely cared. This hotel is located at the very south part of Sedona and pretty far from "downtown" Sedona but if you're lucky enough you can have a great views of the beautiful red rocks. There is a coffee shop/bakery across the street and it is next door to a burger bar...so some things are walkable. The rooms were clean. They recognized my Marriott status and provided a room upgrade. Our 1 bedroom suite was furnished with a kitchenette, desk, sectional sofa, spacious bedroom and nice bathroom. I found the room to be cozy. Our bedroom had Ana amazing view of the red rocks...but the bed was David the wrong way to see it. The TVs are gigantic for the room size and you can use your Netflix account if desired. The hotel is practicing COVID safety measures and everyone wears masks in public areas. Breakfast is grab and go. There is a very pleasant lady handing out which ever continental breakfast items you desire. Coffee is provided from the front desk to limit the amount people touching the coffee pots. So why 3 stars? 3 reasons: 1. While they advertise themselves to be pet friendly, they also charge a ridiculous $50 non refundable pet deposit. That is more than it costs to leave my dog at a dog spa for one night! This is not stated anywhere on the Marriott website...it does list extra fees and only lists free parking. We stay for one night...absolutely crazy to charge this. We would have left but no other Marriott properties were available. 2. We were checked into room 304 and upon lugging our things to the room, you can imagine our disbelief that someone else's things were in the room. We went back down to the front desk to let them know and the front desk challenged me on this. Asking questions like well was it just one bag? No, multiple suitcases, cereal, dirty towels and an unmade bed. She indicated that it shows it is clean in the system. I told her it definitely is not. She then searched for another room for me and told me that shouldn't happen and wasn't sure what went wrong. I'm sorry but, she should have been profusely apologizing for the mistake between COVID and just a lack of overall security. 3. When checking in, we asked if we could extend our stay and she told us yes we could but it's best to wait until tomorrow morning. So we waited until the next morning. Guess what? They sold out of rooms, so now we could not stay an extra night. Pretty disappointing. I knew I should have booked a 2nd room online, I wish I followed my gut here. read more

This hotel is very new February 2020! The rooms are very small, the air conditioning unit is too big for the room. We couldn't change settings for a more comfortable sleep! If we turned it up because I was freezing the heat came on so I tossed/turned all night because I was freezing. Note: The air vents blows right towards the bad my entire face was cold, we eventually turned it off. Walked into the lobby, lots of people everywhere. Certainly not taking Covid seriously! The man who checked us in was rude and unhelpful. He put us on the ground floor without a balcony or a view. I paid for a specific room. He said he couldn't upgrade me because he can't change the reservation. Tried to talk to the manger, no answer and never around. Tried to cancel through hotels.com and was placed on hold for 25 min. The bar was open until midnight, the pool and jacuzzi until 10. Always full of people. We felt uncomfortable but had to stay. My girls and I had the BEST time here. What started out to be a one night staycation, turned into a 5 night vacation! I went with my two daughters 4 and 9 months. The room was very spacious with two beds and a kitchen. It was very clean and I felt very safe there considering the pandemic going on. Martha at the front desk was so sweet and kind. (By the end of the trip, Martha was my daughters best friend.) Michael also had a great attitude and convinced me of staying another night. (Thank you so much.) My daughter was having fun drawing pictures for all the staff. The bartender was positive and had a great attitude. He even stayed open an extra hour because everyone was having a good time. The maintenance manager and staff (I'm so sorry, I forgot his name) always said hi and were very friendly. The hotel took precautionary measures and it was a very clean and safe hotel. The pool was amazing and not crowded during the day. We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast every morning that was served Togo. My daughter said that staying at the Element she had so much fun. We will definitely be back! Your staff at the Element is AMAZING!! All of them had a great attitude and were so so friendly! This was by far the best family vacation we had. This was a really nice place to stay and they're dog friendly (for a fee) too. My wife and I decided to get a one bedroom suite because it had a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator with a freezer. The studio rooms only have a mini fridge and microwave. The difference was $30 when we stayed and we thought it was worth it. The room was clean and everything comfortable. Everything in the hotel looks pretty new. The staff was nice and friendly. Natasha especially went out of her way and was very helpful. I would have given them five stars if not for the lack of enforcement of the mask policy. I'm a little conflicted about the actions of customers affecting their score, but it made us feel uncomfortable. All of the staff wore masks all the time I saw them. There were plenty of people sitting in the lobby, walking the halls, and even getting breakfast in the morning not wearing masks. What good is a mask policy if it's not followed or enforced? I realize it makes the staff's job harder, but what's wrong with saying I'm sorry I can't serve you breakfast without a mask or you have to go eat or talk on your phone in your room if you're not going to wear a mask? Unfortunately, until this COVID thing is behind us I'm not sure I would stay here again. After that I would gladly come back. It's really a nice place with nice people. read more

Element is a beautiful hotel but lacks some basic operational efficiencies. The issues we encountered in the first room were a non working TV and privacy blind that wouldn't go up. Neither could be fixed so we were moved to another room the second day of our stay. The clock in our second room was an hour behind. The bar menu had multiple food items that were not available. There were no towels at the pool. Breakfast was great the first 3 days. Today, they were out of bagels, muffins and fruit for yogurt by 8:30. Linens, towels in room coffee, emptying of trash must be requested for stays less than 7 days. read more

What a great hotel! For us, it was perfect. I believe it was newly built/renovated. It's pet friendly with no weight limit, which was amazing because we have a large dog. We stayed in a 500+ sqft (2) Queen room which worked out well with the dog and our infant. We brought our pack and play and after some rearranging were able to make everything fit for us. In the description, it said there was a kitchenette which concerned me because whenever I hear that, I know to expect a little or a lot and I was very pleasantly surprised! Dishes, Dishwasher, Microwave, Sink WITH Filtered Water - for us, it was perfect! We were able to stay the weekend with points. The staff was excellent, the on-site amenities were great, the ONLY downside was the parking - because it's in a plaza with restaurants, on Friday/Saturday night the parking is iffy. We got back from a friends house a little later on Saturday night and had to park in the auxiliary lot connected at the back because there was no closer parking. When you're paying $10/night for parking, I'd expect reserved spots for hotel guests rather than a free-for-all. I'm very happy to know that when we come back to visit Sedona, we know exactly where we will stay! read more

If you're going to Arizona not only do you have to check out the sites like the Grand Canyon but you have to check out Sedona and this place is a part of the Marriott brand known as element. The moment you pull in you can tell it's a brand new hotel to the area it's located across the street from the banks grocery stores and down the street from some sites to see. The staff when we walked in are very friendly the place is clean and organize the gym has all the different equipment that you can be looking for when you're trying to keep up on your health and wellness while out in the way traveling for business or pleasure. The rooms are very nice the bathroom is all modern and up-to-date as well as the kitchen and the beds are comfy there's even a desk for those that need one while they're working or if their kids are remote for school we enjoyed our stay it was very clean very organized and the breakfast they came with it was a pretty good spread definitely will go back here in the future for vacation and or for business if I'm in the area. They do follow COVID-19 protocols will have your mask they have sanitizer available they make sure they clean up after you and they wipe everything down and the staff was very friendly and they were constantly checking if we needed anything if we were in the lobby and or in the back area it was snowing and raining when we were there however they were a very nice stay the temperature was decent while in the hotel area and in our rooms we are able to manage it ourselves but like I said definitely got to stay here if you go to this area you won't regret it read more

Stayed for two nights 11/27-11/28, while it is a great hotel with perks of heated pool, grills, clean. This visit was not the best starting with a surprise 15$/night parking fee! I feel like this hotel is already in the upper price range and then to tack on a parking fee is a little much. Lastly we had no hot water! I was told by front desk to let the water run for a while, 40 min later still only slightly warm water. For a leaking pipe should only take a few hours at best to fix but next day still the same our family might get to vacation once a year and to not have hot water to shower is a real let down. read more

We arrived 30 minutes before check-in and we were turned away. Not a as huge deal, we were early. Every other hotel we've ever stayed at has never done that if we arrive a bit early, but ok. We come back later and the parking lot is blocked off, with side and back spots completely full. When asked why they explained they sold the front portion of the lot to a guest. In front of the hotel. Where you walk in. So clearly the rest of the guests should be inconvenienced so they can get the best bang for their buck. Overflow parking they said. Behind the hotel, over the bridge, and you will find another lot. We watched an elderly man be unapologetically directed to the overflow lot. No help offered. We Left. Took our money elsewhere. They didn't seem to care. They must have made enough to cover our loss by selling the parking lot. read more

Still doing the Covid process which means, rooms do not get clean and you get a bag breakfast to carry to your room. beautiful new hotel. we enjoyed the jacuzzi, the breakfast, the location... very professional and friendly staff. we had an incredible, relaxing stay. my one critique would be that the water pressure in the shower is not great, however it is an eco friendly hotel and they probably have it set to low flow to conserve water which is actually commendable, albeit slightly time consuming when rinsing. we left for the day and returned to our room fully refreshed and pristine. they left a reusable glass bottle filled with fresh water on the nightstand. they definitely dont miss on the details. breakfast was elevated from the run-of-the-mill continental breakfast, complete with a made to order option as well as fresh mini frittatas, yogurt bar, and fruit infused water. the blueberry scones were delicious and tasted fresh. and they even had actual plates and silverware which is a nice touch. overall, would 100% stay there again. its just south of the main portion of sedona which makes for a bit less trafficked of an area. we felt relaxed and taken care of throughout our short stay. read more

My family and I stayed here for 1 night. When first arriving we were placed in a room that was not what was payed for. Then it took 20 minutes to be placed in the one we did pay for. Later that night my family went to the pool in which we jumped in not being informed we couldn't. A member of my party then went inside to ask for a towl when informed that we must leave the pool and return in 15 minutes when the previous people in the hot tub have left ( No one was in the pool) . Keep in mind it is 40 degrees outside and there are 4 children that have already jumped in being asked to getout of the pool. After a long day sight seeing and grinding on the road, she took the time to chat with us and give us some recommendations for dinner that we took her up in. Heather in the morning was equally as nice and went out of her way to make sure we got off on the right foot. These ladies made it for us! The place is brand new and everything is clean and in perfect working order. We were only here one night but it's designed for longer stays with a fully functional kitchenette. Myself and three friends were very excited to stay at this hotel for a ladies night out. We reserved a room with kitchenette, 2 queens, a view and a balcony. When we arrived, we were told that they were oversold and only had a room with one king bed left!!! The room was teeny tiny and the bed was a queen not king. The room basically only fit the bed and 2 nightstands on either side. The front desk clerk said she would let me know if a bigger room opened up and offered me a cold beverage and a blanket and pillow for sleeping on the floor to make up for it. My friends and I had no choice but to stay in the room, packed in there like sardines. We were at the bar later in the evening and the front desk clerk working overnight was very rude. Also, I heard him offering to upgrade another guest to one of the larger rooms! I could not believe it. Probably won't be booking here again, paid waaaaayy too much for the room and 2 of us had to sleep On the floor. I forgot to mention, I also brought my puppy and the desk clerk during check out was nice enough to refund my pet fee. read more
