When…read morelooking for vegan food around me after an intense dance class in North Hollywood, I stumbled upon Vegatinos. I had been to their popups at a variety of vegan events, but had no clue they had a permanent location! I knew I just had to try it! I was surprised to discover they are actually inside Leonor's Vegetarian Mexican Restaurant. I had been to Leonor's in Studio City, but never North Hollywood! Parking was easy with a space waiting for me right in front of the restaurant on Victory Blvd, but they do also have a parking lot behind! I ordered some tacos to go and they were ready promptly! They do have plenty of seating inside too, if you do choose to eat there and it looked very clean with fun decor! The service was so friendly and helpful too. My tacos were amazing and had such lovely seasonings and flavors. I loved the shredded faux meat, which was both juicy and tender with a wonderful marinade. It really tasted like meat and hit the spot! The cheese was perfectly melted into the taco and had a nice gooeyness. The rice and beans were also fantastic with their own spices. I felt great after eating it and didn't feel bloated at all, as I often do after eating Mexican food. I will definitely be back soon to try more of their delights!

Sign me up. We got the lentil quesadilla today. That was a first. It's really great. There's a tortilla that looks wheaty, but it's GF? It was great. Service was great as always. Seating outside on a nice day like this is always the way to go. There was a happy family group of 8-10 people inside enjoying a late Friday lunch too. I don't think a group that big could sit outside easily tho. MAGNUM SALAD = 5 stars BURGER & FRIES = 5 stars (always) LENTIL QUESADILLA = 4 worth a try - I'd like more spicy kick to it. MANGO GREEN TEA = sweeeeet. My daughter loved it.

Something Vegan is a cozy little spot with indoor and outdoor seating, easy street parking, and a menu worth exploring if you're plant-based. The food was good, though nothing I tried nothing rose to the level of outstanding. My bigger issue was the service. I waited long stretches between check-ins, and when I asked for recommendations around high-protein options, the guidance I got missed the mark. I ended up ordering the Impossible Burger as a double, which I'd caution anyone against -- it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to eat without making a complete mess, and no napkins were ever brought to the table. I was left to fend for myself for a solid fifteen minutes while things got... messy. Getting a refill on my iced tea or flagging someone down for the check took way longer than it should have. To be fair, the servers were perfectly pleasant when they did come by -- the issue wasn't attitude, it was absence. Three stars for now. The food has potential and I will go back to try something different, but the service needs work. They seemed overwhelmed with Postmates / To Go orders perhaps, but the folks actually sitting in the restaurant need attention too. :)

The ambiance in the restaurant is lovely and the seating is very comfortable. It also smells great there. I got the pad Thai which was fantastic. It was well spiced and flavorful and had a lovely peanut flavor. The noodles were thick and doughy and really took on the sauce well. I got it with the faux chicken, which had a really meat-like texture and just the right amount of tenderness. The carrots and bean sprouts were crisp and added a nice crunch. It wasn't too heavy and I felt really good afterwards. Parking is really easy either at a metered spot in front, on the residential streets on the side or in their adjacent parking lot. I will definitely return again soon to enjoy items from their vast menu and hope to enjoy their wonderful dine in experience!

I'll admit, I sometimes feel like vegetarian food can lack flavor, but that was definitely NOT the case here. Everything we had was bold, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We ordered the lunch special: I had the spicy eggplant with soy beef, and he had the pad Thai. Both dishes were packed with flavor, perfectly tender, and didn't feel like they were "missing" anything compared to non-vegetarian dishes. The rice stood out, it wasn't your typical plain jasmine rice but more of a hearty grain blend, which I actually enjoyed even more. On top of the amazing food, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. This place is definitely going to be a regular for me when I'm in the area. It's a bit of a drive, but 100% worth it. A huge bonus if you have kids! they have a little station with crayons and Legos. That small detail made a big difference for me. My toddlers stayed happily entertained, and I was actually able to sit and enjoy my meal in peace. Thank you for thinking of parents and creating a more relaxed dining experience!!! 100% recommend.

Unfortunately, my first visit back in two years was extremely disappointing. My server wasn't very communicative and didn't explain the menu, portion sizes, or that many dishes were meant to be shared, so I ended up ordering far more food than I needed. The food was not what I remembered. The curry was overly salty, I didn't enjoy the dumpling filling, and the protein inside the spring rolls had an unpleasant aftertaste. Overall, I simply didn't like the food (beside the vegetables soup) The atmosphere was extremely overwhelming. The outdoor seating I used to enjoy was gone, and inside the restaurant was crowded and very noisy, with loud customers, music, and kitchen noise all competing at once. After a long day, I was hoping for a relaxing dinner, but instead left with a strong migraine, I was trying to eat and felt like I wanted to run away from there to just get peace & quiet. When I paid, I explained that I genuinely didn't like most of the food. Despite barely eating more than a soup, a few bites of curry, and one spring roll, I was still charged $53 and was told "there was nothing they could do about it" This restaurant is nothing like the Hope Kitchen I used to know. Between the disappointing food, poor service, and uncomfortable atmosphere, it was a terrible experience. I won't be returning, and I cannot recommend it.

As the OG - the original w/ a menu similar to that of their younger prima/cousin location in Studio City - it has more history, energy and flavor in my honest opinion. Leonor's - North Hollywood has a shared parking lot in the rear off Tujunga Ave/Victory Blvd as well as some street parking in front. You can enter from either side and find seating easily. The service feels like home. My friend Andrew H. loves this place and he's not vegetarian in the slightest but has been coming here and suggesting for me to come here for years. Liz and Emily are amazing and though I believe I only met the amazing late Leonor herself (beautiful ofrenda for her in the restaurant), her spirit and the feel of Leonor's flows on. From incredible dishes like the Special Chicken Salad w/ veganaise (hold the dairy cheese for me), taco diner, and so many others. They do carry non-dairy/vegan cheese, you just need to specific as this is a very vegetarian restaurant at it's core that has branched out w/ an abundance of plant-based options as well as plant based partners like Vegatinos, located here as well. Leonor's is still open rain or shine Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM daily. Note: Vegatinos is open everyday with extended hours.

Usually I have a Bahn Mi but today I was craving Pho. My go to Pho spot is a little bit of a drive and I was looking for something in walking distance. No regrets. Today I had the Oxtail Pho + Vietnamese Coffee which ended up being about $28 and worth every penny. Let me tell you I am just so grateful for how delicious is but almost sad i've almost eaten it all. Let's begin with the location. Parking is tight but one thing about Lankershim/Magnolia is the side streets is your friend. Don't stress about parking bc you will find it. Inside the restaurant is very very cute, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Today they had Michal Jackson playing. Big fan! Big fan! The portion size is just right for me. It had enough to fill me up for one sitting and a little left over when my tummy settles and i'm ready for more. The broth is soooo yummy, I can't even explain it. Idk whose grandmother passed that recipe down but I love her. Now let's get into the actual Oxtail. wow, it was actually the biggest oxtail piece I think I have ever had in my life and it was so good. I am going to attach a photo bc this isn't regular Pho baby this herrrrr! (excuse the chunks I bit out, I realized it was so good I needed to tell yall ) They must love me and knew I needed this comfort meal bc there was a few pieces in there. Thank youuuuu Anywho, whether you're by yourself, on a date, with family or friends I definitely suggest checking them out. And you better be nice too bc I think it's family owned, they're lovely. Enjoy!

It was sweet as well. Eggrolls were ok. Coconut coffee was excellent. My husband Bún Bò Huế was flavorful. I would say this is an Americanized Vietnamese Restaurant. This is your place if you prefer foods on the sweeter side.
