Clean casino but a bit "spread out" with two sections. There is a slots area when you enter and then another area up the escalator. They also have table games on the second floor. I wish there was a slightly bigger assortment of slot machines but if it isn't packed then it's easy to get on a machine you want. read more

The casino is huge. It spans the entire block. Best part here is just the free parking and other than that I can't think of any thing special or great here. I came here with friends before Covid to take advantage of the cheap $9.99 lobster and prime rib buffet. I told my friends who I lured into it that this is something we just need to try once in a life time. Yup, they were not buying it The wait was over 2 hours and it was horrible. I don't think I would do it again. On top, it wasn't a normal straight line. There were other confusing lines happening at the same time. On the same day that I went, they were giving out swag and so yes I made it to the wrong line first and after 15 mins I realized my mistake. Boo. There are no signs or directions. What is worse there is a third line that formed but this line was much shorter and that was the customer service line. This is ridicious with so many unorganized line up. Covid then hit and the casino was closed and this including the buffet. I heard now that the buffet is not as good as it used to be. But to be fair the time when I went the buffet wasn't wow either. Only the lobster tail and prime rib were edible and the rest were meh. I remember looking at the salad and it looked like it had been sitting out for days. They looked sad. I got a piece of artisen flatbread and that was so stale that I had to spit it out right away. But to be fair $9.99 for unlimited lobster tail and prime rib isn't too bad. The question is is it worth over 2 hours wait? The answer is no! But the lobster tail were not very fresh but they were not unedible. There were a few that I got had a bad smell but out of the many 80% of them were good. Fast forward to today, I heard that the buffet is way more skimpy and they have raised the price significantly. Definitely not worth going to the buffet here. They have horse races on a screen here but the design of the casino can do better. The casino looks big from the outside but inside is small. The slot attends are Okay the coffee lady you hardly ever see i waited hrs .. The beef dip was wonderful same as the fish &chips .. compared to Hasting casino where the machines are ALL old and the place is Crap everything old .. and River rock where they are all totally Rub to you .. I would say this place is pretty good , you feel more at home and the people here are pretty welcoming .. Been standing in line for an hour.. I sent a note to their feedback line and so they said that they would take my suggestions and comments as exactly that... suggestions .. was here last week with the in-laws who are elderly and they had no where they could sit.. when they sat at a machine the assumed " pit bosses" scooted them off the seats to wander .. suggested that they re-align their line up and to provide some pop up seating but as you can see .. same ole same ole.. Thank goodness I had the other members of our group tag off with me so that I could take a break.. Took my grandfather for bday dinner. Thought Casinos have a wide variety of food with a few cooks to serve you hot foods. This place had a very basic basic minimal buffet. One hot meat roast beef and was basically all fat so the cheap roast beef. Then dried out corn halfs. Dried baked potatoes and one pasta. Then they had chicken wings that had a terrible and soft outter layer plus was pink all the way through!! The salad bar was minimal but did have an ok quinoa pre made salad. The one of 2 soups.. chicken gumbo was ok. The desserts were suoer basic.. one dry pie. Pudding cup and rice cup and a soft serve machine with basic tooper candys. I font want to be too negative but for $20 each and being a casino.. I expecr a higher lever of food quality. Layouts and display and operations. The only reason I came here was because of their $9.99 lobster tail and prime rib buffet special for April. However, we had to wait over 5 hours and I could barely walk up to the buffet by then. As much as I love lobster and prime rib, and their's was pretty good value, I wouldn't wait that long again unless I had some friends/family to tag me off so I can sit and rest. The rest of the food, besides the dessert bar, was meh. Apparently, the wait was much shorter on previous weekends (2-3 hours), but this was Easter weekend. I also hated the rude man in front of me who left his coffee on top of the security pole, which of course was knocked off by another person and it splashed everywhere. I wasn't a happy camper. Then, the same guy kept losing his bottled water which kept rolling everywhere. Man, if you're not going to drink it, just throw it out! I had a lot of time to contemplate the slot machines we passed, but I still can't figure out what it takes to win. read more

At least the inside has, the exterior isn't flashy enough. 2 floors of action, and is bigger than it looks when you progress further. Diamond Buffet on right. Table games 2nd level. This was honestly the worst service I've ever experienced. We went there on Mother's Day to watch the horse races, arriving at 2:15. We found a seat up top and waited 15 mins for a server. Since it was busy and no one came by we decided to go to the bar for a drink. We were asked to return to our seats and order off the server up top. The bartender gave me a water and a menu and we went back to our seats. We waited another 25 mins for the server to come by and take our order. She did not have a pen so we gave her something to take our order with. At 3pm we had still not received our first drinks. We went back down to the bar to find our server thinking she must have forgotten us. She apologized and offered to bring up our drinks right away. We had also ordered food and were assured by our server that our food was already rung in. We returned to our seats and waited an additional 20 mins and then went to look for a manager. It was 3:20 (over an hour since we arrived) when I spoke to a manager and had yet to receive anything-food or drinks. The manager apologized and personally went to get us our drinks. The server never came back for the remainder of our stay. My sons burger arrived completely wrong and had to be sent back. My girlfriend slipped and fell on the stairs as there was some spilled food that she stepped on and scraped and bruised her arm quite severely. An employee brought her an ice pack and asked her to sign a first aid form. She realized after the fact that she should have asked for a copy or taken a picture of the form, as she had signed it. When she approached a manager on our way out, she was treated extremely rudely. She asked politely for a copy of the form and was told that it wasn't the managements fault that she hadn't taken a picture at the time. When she asked to speak to a more senior manager than the one she was speaking with, she was given only a first name and told that if she wanted that persons contact information then she could look it up herself, as the manager she was speaking with was not willing to provide it. When she asked him for his name he rudely told her to read his name tag. She proceeded to take a picture of his name tag (his name was Corey) and he then gave her a one year ban!! I've never seen such deplorable treatment of a customer in the 25 years that I've worked as a server, supervisor and GM. This was the most egregious display of contempt towards a guest I have ever seen, especially considering she was hurt in their establishment. We were there as moms, with our Grandparents and kids to celebrate Mothers Day. We didn't do anything to deserve this treatment; we were there for just over 2 hours and were only ever served the 2 rounds by the manager as the server stopped coming by. I will never spend another dime in this place and will never recommend this place to anyone again!j read more

Had a chance to check out the new changes at Elements Casino the other day, formerly known as Fraser Downs. They added a new buffet area, made changes to the entrance, added a new lounge and moved some other things around. Overall from the hype I had heard I was excited to see the changes, seems that the casinos in Vancouver have been embracing more of the Vegas feel with the food and entertainment offerings and trying to keep up to date with the games. At first the feel was something was new, however I was a little disappointed at the final delivery. While the buffet was a smart addition to the property and there were people enjoying it, it felt more like a cafeteria, cold and uninviting. The new layout for the entrance made sense, you get hit with the sense this is a larger property, but it was hard to find the guest service desk. Walking through the slot machines it was evident there had been some changes, and the table games in the back gave a feel of separation, but have to be honest, it was too bright and I did not get that gaming vibe. It was almost as if someone forgot to put the lights onto evening setting, we were there around 8pm and while steady, I felt like I was in my local Shoppers walking down isle 5. I thought the addition of the new Molson lounge would be a good addition, I have enjoyed watching the horse racing and maybe something more relaxed might get me there more often. Unfortunately, like the buffet, it felt like someone said "we need a lounge, and only have this space available so put it there." Not a lounge that I would relax at. Overall, it was nice to see Elements trying to update the property and challenge their local competitor, however it seemed to snake eyes. read more

2016.06.30 I thought I'd try out the Diamond Buffet for the first time. I was not disappointed. The quality of food was great, the staff were super friendly, and it wasn't a packed madhouse like at the Starlight. There is plenty of seating with ample space to walk and between tables. No carb laden offerings. Everything was hot/cold as required. An ice cream machine that actually worked with a good selection of toppings. Don't forget to get your $2 off coupon from guest services. The food is pretty good, I eat here a lot and it's usually always on par or better than local pub food. The soups that they serve here are excellent and definitely worth trying. Friendly staff, always smiling. Brighter and easier to navigate around the building since the renovations. Buffet is a nice addition but have not tried, looks good though. Came here for a banquet dinner. The food was amazing and the staff was awesome. If you've never been here before and you're heading here for an event, be sure to arrive early as the parking does fill up rather quickly in the evening, regardless of what day of the week it is. We had some tech difficulties with sound during our event, which was a shame, because it seemed like they had an really good set up overall. Overall though? Good place. This casino, which I visit a few times a week monthly, and leave a few thousands there, just did it to me tonight. I stepped away for 15 minutes to get my gift, the grandma, who was behind me and saw me playing, asked an attendant to give her the machine. The attendant took my money out and left the ticket at the side. I came back, and the lady was playing. I called another attendant who didn't help me at all. Just listened to her story above and did not give me my spot back. I believe the previous attendant knew this lady and let her play in my spot after throwing my ticket at the side. I am very frustrated and upset at what happened especially after how much I spend there. Why kind of treatment is this? Incidentally this person won Major another 15 minutes. I left $10 in the machine and was planning on playing all night long. Also, many people leave these machines for hours and don't come back and they are still held on their behalf. Went there to enjoy a Sunday afternoon to watch harness racing and some food. Met with a business that could care less if their customers are enjoying themselves. No signage to direct you to the area where you could sit and watch racing. Not one employee ask if they could help us ... even though my husband and I wandered around looking lost. Finally found the door to the race track .... watched a race outside came back in to find some food only to be accosted by an attendant that we were making the carpet dirty. We hadn't even walked there. Found food and while waiting for the food couldn't see any races didn't have a TV to watch while we waited. Only reason I knew they were calling the 50/50 draw because I was watching on my phone ...... Very sad to see that Elements Casino is not very supportive of harness racing, horsemen or new customers at their place .... :( read more

OLG was was much better. The slots give you bonuses very rarely and when they do they pay little. I've been a few times now and have lost continuously thinking it's still the OLG. I have been to many casinos both in the US and Canada, and as with most entertainment facilities, the staff can either make your experience great or turn you into a one-time customer. I have found the staff there to be so genuinely friendly and welcoming, it's like seeing old friends every time I come. From the greeting by security at the main door to my interactions with the staff in the casino and the Diamond Buffet, I have found Elements to be a uniquely positive entertainment and dining facility. I come to the Diamond buffet a few times a month and the staff there is just fantastic in both service and attitude. The food cost is inexpensive yet the quality and variety is great. It is easy to provide a positive customer experience occasionally, but my experience there has been consistently excellent. read more
