Instead of offering to check the room or ask the staff if anyone had found it, the owner quickly told me they were not responsible for personal belongings left behind. My jewelry was never recovered, and the complete lack of concern or willingness to investigate was incredibly disappointing. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about bringing any valuables into this business.

I've bounced around trying to find a great LMT over the years and once in a while I found someone really good and stuck with them for a period. I've gotten massage mostly in the States but also while traveling thru Canada, Prague, Paris, Berlin... I've found that on average, LMT's seem to be the best overall here at home. But Chandra is simply the BEST I've found, anywhere!

Yes some massages are better than others. But in a way, when you lay down in a clean quiet room on a heated bed with soothing music and get a massage, there's always something positive, even if it's just that you got to rest. That being said, you have to find a therapist that works for you and I did. My favorite massage therapist at Elements in Bannockburn is David and he outdid himself last week. I always enjoy the massage and experience tremendously but I'm usually feeling pretty good when I walk in. Last week, I NEEDED the massage. I was hurting. To my delight I received such a great massage that was so healing. I never paid that much attention to the healing aspect, but I won't underestimate that aspect anymore. I felt so much better! I see many complaints about the desk staff here on Yelp, but I was very happy with my customer service experience. The desk staff was attentive and kind. Sure, they try to upsell you and offer their membership program (which offers a major discount on services if you go once a month), but when I politely declined they didn't shove it in my face. If I am able to afford their membership ever in the future, I would do it for sure!

The membership here is easy to sign up for and nearly impossible to cancel, and after three months…read moreof this I do not believe that is an accident. My wife requested cancellation on May 7, 2026. She was told a manager had to call her back. One called on May 15 and she missed it, with no way to finish the request on her own and no email address offered. She called again June 14, got a callback around June 20, and the membership still was not cancelled. We were charged in May, June, and July (so far). The terms say cancellation happens upon receipt of your request. They say nothing about manager approval, and I could not find that requirement on the Hand & Stone website either. It was only explained verbally, after we had already been charged. In practice, the only person who can complete your cancellation is someone you cannot reach on demand, a missed call sends you back to the start, and billing never pauses. Other reviews here describe the same thing. One star is for the membership and billing process specifically. Signing up took five minutes and leaving has taken three months, and a door that only opens from the inside by someone who is never there is not a membership, it is a trap with nice lighting.
