Jolene cut my hair in the CUTEST way ever. I have a bob and wanted a cool design underneath, and…read moreshe helped make it the best ever. I've never colored my hair, but I think this is the place for me to get it done at. I am very particular about my hair and how it is cut/styled, and I can say they did the best job. Thank you!

I got my hair trimmed recently. It was my first (and now last) time at Envy. I mostly chose this…read moreplace due to the convenience of scheduling an appointment online, but the reviews were also promising. The lady who trimmed my hair did a decent job and was nice. My review, however, is for an atrocious experience I had with the owner, Brandi Wilson. My sister's first time at Envy didn't go as well as mine. Someone there attempted a balayage that... Well, let's just say she's had to spend hundreds of dollars correcting at other salons. Unsure of how the refund process works, she took me with her to speak with the manager about it. Ms. Wilson was with a client when we walked in. Awkwardly, my sister had to explain her situation while Ms. Wilson washed another lady's hair. She barely looked at us and acted like we were an annoying distraction from her work. Nevertheless, my sister kindly explained that the stylist didn't use the freehand painting technique that one uses for a proper balayage. Instead, she used foils from root to tip, all over, which resulted in chunky highlights that didn't naturally blend in. It was not a balayage in any way, shape, or form. (Picture attached.) Ms. Wilson saw that picture and didn't see anything wrong with it. She responded, first, with a lecture on what balayage is in an effort to discredit us - with misinformation, no less. She said balayage "isn't necessarily a technique" - no, it is a technique. That's literally what it is, what makes it special in the first place - the unique application. The more she talked about it, the more ignorant and patronizing she came across. She told us we have to talk to the stylist and that she could give us the stylist's number. All well and good. But then she left us standing there and continued picking apart my sister's complaint. She kept saying unhelpful, inflammatory things like, "Well if you'd talked to [the stylist] first maybe she would've fixed your hair for free." I don't know if she was in a bad mood or what, but she wanted to argue. Understandably I was irritated by this, but I stayed calm. I said we didn't want the original stylist to fix my sister's hair. Ms. Wilson acted like she had been personally attacked. She raised her voice and became visibly angry, demanding, "What do you want me to do?" I tried to say we just wanted the stylist's number but she kept talking over me. It made us very uncomfortable, so I had to tell her to chill. She seriously needed to calm down; there was no need for her to get defensive and escalate the situation. Instead, she lost it. She started yelling. She told us to leave before she called the police. She shouted, and I quote, "Exit my fricken business!" I was beyond done and going to leave, but we still needed the stylist's number for a refund. So I asked her, calmly, "Could you please give us [the stylist's] contact information?" I thought it was a reasonable request. Still enraged, she snapped, "You know what? Find it online." (We have this exchange on video, by the way.) Admittedly I did call her a name right before I left, but it was my only act of aggression in the whole mess and, frankly, she deserved it after the way she treated us. I will be doing what Ms. Wilson said and staying out of her "fricken" business for good. I'm telling everyone I know to avoid Envy as well. There are better salons in the area that are professional, friendly, and highly skilled - Tease and Ross Michaels comes to mind. Ms. Wilson needs to work on basic customer service skills because this does not bode well for any business. As the owner you represent your entire salon, your staff - even if they are independent contractors. You need to treat customers with care and respect. Don't be condescending. Don't make excuses. A little empathy goes a long way. Doing a little research on balayage wouldn't hurt, either.

100% would recommend the Sugaring Service to anyone interested, especially if its from Amanda!…read more Absolutely my go to, amazing personality and honestly probably ruined other sugaring salons/spas for me (tried other places when I was temporarily out of state). During the winter I just do a Brazilian Sugar but oh boy I cannot wait till spring/summer so I can incorporate the Full Leg Sugar again, Amanda does such a good job that I literally WANT to spend my money here. As for availability, pertaining to sugar waxes, definitely try timing it. I don't know if Amanda is just that popular/well booked but I have yet to be able to schedule an on the spot appointment for last minute planning (not that I need to much since hair needs time to grow anyways). As for the Salon, brought my grandmother with me on a wax appointment and she really wanted and needed a haircut so they took her in on the spot, which was awesome! She loved it and her hair looked well revitalized. She still talks about the experience!

I cancelled my next hair cut ~ not returning ~ the only fix would be for the $185 cost of the less than body wave perm, has not been a month since the perm and my hair is a mess!! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Both my 10 year old daughter and I have had our hair cut and colored by Alicia. Her ability to take plain Jane hair and turn it into something extraordinary and beautiful is worth every penny! This salon also earns brownie points for having the sweetest little mascot "Junie" who greets all who enter with affection and a tail wag. I'm so grateful to have found a place that not only delivers on what I want, but will give me an honest professional opinion. I'd recommend this salon and stylists to anyone.

I have long hair but $400 is insane for just coloring hair. One color. I did the same thing with someone MUCH better and it was 115 and she discounted it to 95. I will never go back and I would NEVER recommend this place. I don't write many bad reviews, In fact I really don't write any, but this one deserves it. I'm sorry for being so frank. UPDATE REPLY TO OWNER: Yes I went there many times, I was faithful to the poor person dealing with you as an owner. It's not slander when it's true, thank you. How about you try to be professional for once. The facts are in your reviews. Plenty of them say the turnover is ridiculous and the prices are too. Is that slander as well? Are you really unable to just be a good business owner? People don't leave businesses, they leave horrible bosses. AKA you, Alicia. You are now slandering someone by stating that they need to have discounted prices after stalking for information to see if I still attend my stylings with her. Of course I do. I said the salon is awful. Not the person. And no. I was charged nearing 375 for 2 services. Sorry I exaggerated by rounding to $400. With tip though I paid over $400. Just because you charge crazy prices doesn't mean I should take away from the stylist. Take some responsibly. You constantly blame. Even your response as a business owner and manager is unprofessional.

The first time I went there Michael and Kimberly were very pleasant and they did a decent job with my hair (cut and color). The next time I went I felt rushed and not listened to. The last time I went Kimberly was not pleasant at all. I asked her to do the same color job as last time and she left the front (headband) gray. I told her I wanted it light blond with some dark blonde lights so when the gray started growing in 2 weeks it would blend and not look like a white circle around my face. It was like she didn't hear me it all and I had to ask her to do it over. She did but she wasn't happy about it. Then Michael cut my hair and I would swear he was in his man-period. He didn't say 2 words to me and rushed through the cut like he was a million miles away. The last time I went there I showed pictures of the cut and color. I ended up looking nothing like the photos. If they thought my hair would not work in the style or color I wanted they should have said so and offered me an alternative. They didn't say anything and it felt like they just did what they wanted and ignored me. Needless to say I was even farther from what I wanted for my hair. I gave up and now its been about 8 months since I did anything to my hair. I think Michael and Kimberly are burned out so it depends on how they are feeling on the day you come in.

For me, their haircuts were average. After COVID, I decided to treat myself and get a really good haircut. My neighbor sees Susan at Bayshore Salon, and her hair always looks great (fun, casual and super cute). But at the time, Susan wasn't available, so I booked an appointment with Sierra. At the time, I wasn't sure if Great Clips was still in my future. My hair is kind of coarse and kind of frizzy, but Sierra is always up for the challenge. I've always been really happy with the way Sierra styles my hair. Sierra cut my hair yesterday, and I am extra happy. I got up this morning and didn't do anything to my hair (I didn't even brush it) and it still looks great. It's a pixie cut, and it frames my face perfectly. She is absolutely meticulous in getting every last hair to be right. Sierra is an artist and I'm never going back to Great Clips!

So yes there should have been damage. But this is absolutely crazy. I spoke to 5 other salons in the area that said my hair was EXTREMELY over processed. So on 6/9/2026 i went and spoke with the manager of this salon. she told me to come back on 6/17/2026 for highlights knowing my hair looked LIKE THIS. Other salons argued that my hair COULD NOT handle another session of lighting. and that it WOULD fall out wherever the color remover was. The manager said that i'd also have to pay out of pocket for the highlighting service. I had to go to another salon to apply an all over color which was my only option at this point. I never received a sorry and they never tried to make this right. i reached out to the lady that did my hair and got my money back which was $238. I paid for my hair to be beyond damaged. not to mention all the products i had to buy to try and nurse my hair back to health as well as a haircut to try and save what i could. The way they decided to remove the black from my hair wasn't the wrong thing to do, it was the 4 day break in between two sessions. and the care that wasn't had. This lead to my hair being over processed and extremely damaged. And then the OWNER telling me to come back for highlights. They both should've known better.

In fact, in was arguably worse, because I paid more money for the service. To start, I do want to acknowledge that everyone at this salon is kind and engaging, and the environment is always clean. If that is the most important criteria for you, then you will be satisfied with your experience. However, the cuts and styling are always the same... no matter the photo I bring - or the specific requests I make... I always leave with the same look. If it wasn't so frustrating, it would be comical. And while my cut and style are never truly awful (hence the reason I find myself coming back), they are also never truly amazing. Unfortunately, this visit I was also subjected to my stylist sharing very intimate details of her life with me for the entirety of the service, which I do not always mind, but it was a a lot (when I had my own stuff going on). I know I should have utilized better boundaries in regards to the oversharing and my dissatisfaction with the cut, but I was just too tired to negotiate an awkward conversation (especially when I just wanted an hour of ease and pampering). Bottom line: Gene Juarez will probably offer you a decent, cookie cutter style by an engaging stylist in a clean, bright environment. I have certainly had worse experiences, but... I've also had much better.
