Visited on a fairly busy Sunday evening but were greeted and seated rapidly into the pretty noisy restaurant. I had the Chicken mozzarella sandwich (see photo) which was tasty thanks to the combination of lots of smooth cheese, a fresh bun and chicken cooked to an ideal temp. The fries were nothing special and arrived barely warm. Two items caused a drop from 4 to 3 stars. Our server never came back to check on us... disappointing as she was originally quite friendly. Second, during our visit the restaurant experienced lots of tiny black flies...an issue noticed by tables on both sides. All the above said, we'd include the Elephant & Castle on our list when we're next in the area.
This was one of the cutest restaurants I found in Dublin. The interior was a cute cross between modern and vintage. The paneled walls made the space feel so cozy! The service was very good, and fast compared to most other places we went to in Dublin. The food was great and very fresh! I got a roasted zucchini sandwich and it was great! Would highly recommend!
It looked like a very popular spot so we Stopped by for brunch and it was ok. Inside was spacious with tons of seating. The menu was decent and people were raving about the food there so I was excited to try. I settled for the Irish breakfast which I thought was very mediocre. Nothing very special about it. Price was a little high for the food. Service was ok. We were not very tended to. Kind of given our food and forgotten about.
Superb eatery. Wasn't one I was familiar with and decided to try it on a recommendation. It was quite busy so it was a little tricky getting the order in and there was a slightly longer than desirable wait, but nothing particularly over the top, and besides, the food was well worth the wait. Best chicken wings I've had in a while, great chips and a decent selection of drinks both alcoholic and soft. Great if you are passing and also worth going out of your way for.
EVERY. Single. Table. Gets the wings. Every table. I swear. Their wings are small, but piled high. People come in here specially for the wings and it does make sense. They were super crispy and dunked in buffalo. The avocado toast with eggs is also super simple and good. We already said we might stop back in for the wings!
We were walking the Temple Bar area and the locations that were still serving food were quickly closing or converting to BAR ONLY so we were grateful to get into the Elephant & Castle. While we did decide to stay, they informed us right away that they had run out of all the burgers except for the fried chicken sandwich. My wife and youngest son decided they would share the wings and the "dirty fries". Both were delicious and popular with the whole group. I had the risotto of the day, which was roasted peppers. It too was very good. My oldest had the Cesar salad which he enjoyed. My daughter was caught off guard with her sliced chicken sandwich. It was labeled having curry mayonnaise but she was surprised how strong the curry flavor was. I tasted it and liked it but she was right, it was NOT a hint but very very potent. Still we all enjoyed our dinner and the boys had their Peroni's. I thought their homemade Gingerale was OK. More like a ginger lemonade than a sparkling drink.
Irish Salmon. Can't go wrong especially with fish from here. Pan seared perfectly and portion was very generous. I could not finish it. Although I thought salmon with mash seemed strange, they did kind of go together. Was a tad bit too salty for me though. Service was good and the location at Temple Bar is superb. Great buzz and energy
This might have been the best Irish Breakfast I have ever had! It was so good we came back the next night for dinner and the Wings and Fish and Chips were just as good. I will say the overall the staff was what really shined. As amazing as the food was what we really remember is how friendly and funny all while super attentive. Don't skip this place!
Great service and quickly seated in spite of being in the very trendy Temple Bar area! I have to admit that these are in the top two of best wings I've ever had- and I try them everywhere they're on the menu! It was extremely surprising to find such great buffalo wings in Ireland! They were perfectly cooked- crispy on the outside-juicy & tender inside and the sauce was 10/10. To make this deal even sweeter- 20 wings were under 18€! I was shocked because wings in the US have become incredibly expensive. The mussels and frites were great too!
This was open pretty late. Got the open face salmon special and it didn't disappoint. Good smoked salmon on a soft brown bread with light sauce and slices of avocado. The salad was a bit too onion-y for me but went well with the fish. Loved those caper berries. I also got the homemade ginger ale - it was decent. Glad we stopped in.

There are only two words to know here: Chicken Wings! These wings were delicious. Not too spicy. The blue cheese dressing was excellent with just the right about of chunks and the right consistency. It was a nice touch that they bring a small bowl of water with a lime in it for you to rince your hands. Service was friendly. If you want some good wings, go here! read more
I had a very light dinner here with my brother so my review is slightly limited but everything we encountered was amazing! Located in the busy and touristy temple bar area, you can grab a delicious bite that is convenient and wont break the bank. First off for the love of god... get the wings. You won't be disappointed. They were great, the blue cheese dip was a little tangy for my liking but paired nicely with the wings. They are crispy and perfectly flavored. You won't feel bad about indulging in these little fried wings of goodness. No chewy pieces here. The only other dish we had was the side of broccoli and cauliflower in a guyere cheese sauce. It was great but far to rich to enjoy more than a couple bites of this. I think they added to much cream or something. Would have preferred a smaller amount of guyere melted on the top and no cream at all. But if creamy goodness is your jam, you will be all over this dish. Service was amazing, everyone was so polite and I felt very at home at their adorable establishment. Based on the food I did get to try I will definitely return next time I'm in Dublin! Disappointed I didn't make it to brunch (thanks to the 4am pubs), but will check that out when I'm back in a couple weeks! read more
Best Buttermilk pancakes ever! They were light and fluffy and had a sprinkling of powdered sugar and a large dollop of maple mascarpone. OMG! My husband had an omelet that was very different. It was also light even though it had sausage, bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, garlic, scallions and tomatoes in it. It came with a light salad with toast that was excellent. The waiter was very nice and the Temple area is so great to walk around. It was convenient for Trinity College which was only a block away. I'll probably dream of those pancakes! read more
Service - 5 Staff - 5 Cleanliness - 5 Value - 5 Wings - 10 Who knew you had to go to Ireland for some of the best wings in the world... When you walk in, just look around... Almost every table has a bowl of wings to share. When you fist see the chicken wings, they are coved in a Buffalo Sauce that appears to be really hot, but it's not... Its just damn good. I had something else, but I can't remember; however I do remember walking out extremely stiff and saying to my wife, we are going back tomorrow. read more

Wing heaven. Try the wings. The atmosphere is fun yet sophisticated. We are visiting Dublin for 2 days and will come back here tomorrow. The hostess / FOH Manager was very polite and attentive. The wait staff, bussers, and food runners, were all very professional and took particular care in their roles. read more

This might sound silly......but this is my absolute FAVORITE restaurant in Dublin. And let me tell you why. My first visit to Dublin was over 10 years ago. And the one thing I remember is how incredible the chicken wings were @ Elephant & Castle. And guess what.....10 years later and the wings are STILL incredible!! Actually everything here is really good. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Strongly recommend reservations for Dinner. They are open late which is nice but if you don't want to wait pop in and make a reservation in the afternoon. Breakfast: Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes with Maple Syrup (3) with Fresh Berries, Bacon or Sausage Lunch/Dinner Spicy Chicken Wings in a Basket Omelette' served all day! Last breakfast in Dublin and we decided to stop in. We were seated quickly, good crowd for an early morning. The staff, while not rude, just didn't seem happy or friendly. I had the yogurt & granola with fruit and the guys opted for eggs with sausage. I must say though, one of the best yogurt and fruit bowls I've had. The presentation was beautiful and the fruit was very fresh. It was a nice dish! The other plates were pretty standard, but the food was hot and the portions were plentiful. I could see where this place would be nice for a dinner with a group, I would like to try something off their dinner menu. read more
A great little place to stop and eat and enjoy the scenery. We stopped here as the first place on our trip. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We each got drinks and food. Many of us got the "pink Ellie" which is their signature drink. Everyone raved at how good it was. I got the mozzarella, pesto, and tomato burger. It was cooked to a perfect medium and not too greasy. It was stacked high with toppings! It was very tasty and served with a gracious serving of pesto. I think there was too many toppings but it's easy to fix. Over all a great place and worth a try! read more

I usually can't be bothered with places in tourist traps like Temple Bar. I had a little over an hour before I had to be at Trinity and this place looked a little more relaxing than the other places nearby. Glad I went in. Got the roasted garlic burger - it was fantastic. The aoli they serve with the fries was excellent. I didn't even eat the whole thing but it kept me full for hours. The staff were all really pleasant too. Atmosphere was casual - lively but not too noisy. Would definitely go here again. read more
I came in here to this tiny breakfast shop and based on reviews thought it would be nice I told the girl with brown bangs Please tea and toast with butter. Then the avocado toast poached. I watched 2 girls next to me on each side get their food before me I got the tea fairly quickly 20 minutes later They ignored me and never brought me my food. People were finishing up as I stood I to walk out and I told the girl "I'm leaving I've been here for a half hour, and couldn't even get toast." She looked shocked and said "moons brought you your food" No Felicia!!!! #byeFelicia Don't blame it on the others You took my order, home girl! And the rest of the staff looked me in the eye and saw I had no food. I was alothough brought an omelette who belonged to the chick next to me. Whatever Now I'm in a bad mood. read more

I really wanted to love this place but the food was subpar. The eggs were nearly undercooked and like much Irish food, everything was very salty. Only order the orange juice if you like it tart because it's fresh squeezed. The sweet items on the menu were very good though! I recommend the mocha, it was a prefect blend between sweet and bitter. The service was good, we had a sweet waitress who was very attentive to our needs. read more

How does this place have such good reviews?! This was the worst meal we had on our whole vacation and the only time I think in my life I've ever left no tip. It took forever for anyone to come to our two top table (even though there were full tables near us, so it's not like people weren't around). Finally a guy with salt and pepper hair saunters over and asks if we're ready to order...no hello, no can I get you drinks, no sorry for the wait. I was very thirsty so I asked for water and a beer. Waiter man comes back a little later asking if we're ready to order, and that the drinks would be coming soon (not sure why he couldn't have brought water...the other guest with me had ONLY ordered water). Shortly after another person delivered the beer and we still had not gotten water. The person who brought the beer was kind enough to bring some. To put an additional emphasis on the poor service, there was a couple who was seated next to us during our meal who actually got up and left because no one bothered to greet them or come take their order. Though I did find it interesting that after they left someone immediately came to pick up their menus and readjust the silverware on the table. Now let's get to the food. Waaaay overpriced, though to be expected perhaps being in temple bar, but I didn't even like it. I ordered what was listed on the menu as avocado toast with soft cooked egg. What arrived was avocado toast...with a sliced up hard boiled egg, and some sort of chunky balsamic vinegar and aioli spread all over it. I don't like either of those latter two items and because there was no way for me to know they'd be on there, I couldn't ask for it to be removed. I didn't send the meal back because I had already sent back my salad for having the dressing all over it (which I HAD asked to be removed). The other guest in my party had a burger that she said was very mediocre. All of this, and then we're hit with a bill for more than €40. We were sure to tell some folks outside the door looking at their menu that they should go somewhere else. read more

I came here to have dinner with some friends and we all ordered the wings (some without the sauce because it was too spicy for them). The wings were just ok, maybe because we are not very use to this kind of taste, even so we don't want to come back. read more

OK seriously this place was SO good!! I had a girls trip a few weeks ago for four days. We ate at this restaurant three times! I am American, but I live in Europe right now.. so I don't get to eat a lot of American style food, unless we are cooking at home. These wings were unbelievable. Chicken wings are one of my favorite foods and it's a good thing I don't live closer to this restaurant because I would be there too often. The service is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and in a great location. read more

Oh my goodness! Who knew chicken wings in Ireland would be soooooooo yummy! They are a must try. I wanted an order to myself but shared instead. Haha not next time We stayed in Dublin for 3 nights and came here twice. Also try the baby back ribs and herb Frits with sage and rosemary. The Liberties Pale Ale bottle is also really good. We will return. read more
I wish I could give a sixth star here. Great and authentic wings are hard to find and they absolutely nail the sauce, the wing texture, the flavor... So fantastic! We ventured back into Temple Bar and had this on our last weekend in Ireland and I'm so glad we did. It's inexpensive, worth the short wait, and is such a great example of Buffalo Wings. Definitely stop in. This is in my top 5 places for wings internationally. A+ read more
Well we got back from Galway late so we were hungry. We went to the Church and they were only serving drinks. We then walked to the Bank and they had also already stopped serving food. We then walked to Boxty which Yelp said was still serving food for another 30 minutes. Wrong, they had also stopped serving food. They told us that Elephant & Castle might still be serving. They were close so we walked over and voila, they were still serving food ! We were seated at a table next to the front window and also got to people watch which is very entertaining on Friday night in Temple Bar. I ordered the blue cheese salad with tomatoes and bacon which was absolutely fantastic. the baby romaine was fresh and the blue cheese dressing and crumbles were very flavorful and tasty. The appetizer ribs were a very big portion but were not the savory sweet and smoky sauced ribs i was expecting. They were a little dry and the molasses and ginger sauce was a little thin. The chicken wing appetizer was very good. Holly got the hamburger. It was very tasty more ground steak than hamburger. Our wine was a French Bordeaux which was very good. Dessert was also very good. The lemon tart was very good and lemony similar to a small key lime pie. The raspberry sorbet was very tasty and exactly as the fruit. My salad was the best selection of the dinner. Our service was friendly and very helpful. read more
O to the M to the G! Here's a step-by-step guide to having a food orgasm... Step 1: Get a table and order the basket of wings, a side of chips and two bottles of Sierra Nevada. Step 2: Clap your hands in glee as your order arrives and the heavenly aroma assaults all your senses. Step 3: Dip a wing/drumstick (with the right balance of crispiness and hot sauciness) into the to-die-for blue cheese dip. Alternate with the chunky skin-on chips. Step 4: Wash this all down with gulp of your Sierra Nevada beer. Step 5. Repeat. And repeat... and repeat... Wiggling in delight throughout your meal optional. TIP: Come during the off peak hours between lunch and dinner time and get seated immediately with your face in wings before you can say BUFFALO! Service is a bit hit and miss though - thus losing them a star. read more

Sweet mother! I went here after being recommended the Chicken Wings a dozen times and I realised how true all that hype was. The portion sizes are huge (they give you two sets of sandwiches if you ask for one, really). I also really liked the selection of beers they have on offer. I haven't come here for breakfast, but this is definitely a solid brunch place from what I can tell and yes, it's well worth waiting for a few minutes which you are very likely to do since they don't take reservations. read more

Nice place in Temple Bar that was always full, but it's full for a reason, their food is phenomenal. We liked it so much we broken a cardinal rule of vacation travel... we went here twice for dinner! Growing up in the Buffalo area then living in California and Europe, I can definitely say that this place, by far, has the best spicy wings I've ever had outside the Buffalo region. The wings were unbelievable cooked and properly served with celery and blue cheese (none of that ranch dressing crap served at some other places). I also wanted to try something new, so I had their garlic and onion soup, which was surprisingly good (even if it lead to some horrible morning breath). :P We also tried their Warm Frothy Limeade and the Elder Flower Soda. Both were very good, but word of warning, the limeade and the wings don't make a great taste combo... better to order one and not the other. :) Definitely coming back the next time I'm in Dublin! read more

WINGS! WINGS! WINGS! Coming from the US, I did not expect much when ordering the chicken wing basket. I mean, how good could chicken wings be in Dublin? Probably just okay, right? Nope! These might be some of the best wings I've ever had. I stand by my statement. The wings themselves are small (not a bad thing), they are perfectly fried and crispy (because nobody likes soggy chicken wings) and the sauce is distributed evenly and downright addicting. They must use loads of butter but I am not complaining - nobody orders wings as a healthy option anyway. The sauce is rich and just the right amount of spicy. My dining companions both ordered the roasted garlic burger and let me have a couple bites. This is a great choice for garlic lovers; not only does it have whole roasted garlic cloves but garlic butter and garlic aioli as well! Really solid choice. I see that a few reviewers have complained about the service and the lack of seats but we did not experience that at all. We were promptly seated and our server was very friendly and even gave us some local insight on spots to hit that were less touristy than temple bar. Overall: great food, cute spot, awesome service! read more

You MUST try the chicken wings. If there's one thing to remember when you go here it's to order a portion of the chicken wings, everything else comes second. I first tried this place about 4 years ago and this was when my addiction began. Now every time I visit Dublin I'm not satisfied until I've had a basket of them washed down with a glass of their elderflower soda. When you look around the restaurant there's normally 90% of the tables with a basket . The wings are crispy, tangy, spicy pieces of heaven served with blue cheese dip, a stick of celery and of course a water bowl to wash your saucy fingers in after. One basket is normally enough for two to share with a side of chips, although that said I'd be happy to devour a full basket to myself. Enough about the wings though they do also serve soup, sandwiches, omelettes, salads, brunch type food and burgers etc. Believe it or not I have tried some of these things and there French toast was pretty epic as was their mozzarella and pesto burger. Prices are decent considering it is situated in the middle of temple bar. The restaurant doesn't take pre- bookings and is always pretty full so you really just have to turn up and hope your in luck to get a table immediately or give your name at the desk and they'll add you to their list. They'll normally give you a time to return at, which for me has never been more than an hour and when your in Temple bar there's always plenty going on to pass the time and an hour wait to satisfy my addiction it definitely worth it! read more
I don't usually eat in the Temple Bar area for fear of it being too touristy, but I was very pleasantly surprised by Elephant & Castle! Lovely decor in the place, bright but rustic and perfect for a late lunch/early dinner with my Mammy before the theatre. The food we had was incredible, absolutely delicious! I went for the Mexican chicken salad and my mam went for the lime chicken. We also had mussels and the soup as a starter, both of which were delicious. My one complaint (but it's major) is that they don't really explain the meals on the menu. They give a very rough outline of what the dish actually includes; my Mexican salad came with buckets of grated cheese on top, and I really hate cheese. I managed to pick around most of it in some way but it just made for a less enjoyable meal overall. (yes, I know I should have expected it with Mexican food, but would it be that hard to list the ingredients?) My mam's lime chicken (which she enjoyed very much) came with noodles, which was nowhere to be seen on the menu! I know we could have asked for a specific description but having to do that for every single item feels a bit strange to me. Also, like a lot of Dublin menus, there was at least one word in every item that I had to google. Must we use the latin terms for fecking salad? The French Sav Blanc that we had was probably one of the tastiest wines I've had in a long time! Seriously so nice! Service was good and the prices were reasonable enough, at least for what we chose. We were on an afternoon shopping stroll looking for small gifts to take back home when we got the urge to get something to eat. We had stopped by a bunch of small pubs but they didn't have the menu that was satisfying our pallet at the moment. We saw a small place called Boxtys that was referred to us by a local cab driver and was almost bout to go in till I saw this place located right next door. What immediately caught my attention was the chicken wings that everyone was eating. They looked so yummy so we thought this is the place. We walked in the place was packed and they told us it would be about a 20 min wait but we were seated within 15 mins. As we glanced at the menu our eyes became bigger then our stomachs and we ordered the wings along with hamburgers and fries. I ordered my hamburger with the aged cheddar. Ok let's start with the wings! First the amount of wings was ridiculous shared it was still so much. They were perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside and the meat was so moist on the inside. They are so addicting! Trust me an order of wings and fries will be enough! After basking in the deliciousness of the wings we forgot we ordered a main entry. Ohhh God our stomachs were beyond stuffed but the waiter seeing us like that put in our order a little bit later so we had some time to regain hunger. When the burger arrived I really thought nothing could taste as good as the wings but was I wrong. This beef patty was so flavor able so fresh and with the addition of the aged cheese omg perfection! The fries were the best I have tasted in Ireland and trust me we tried so many. This place hit the nail with the service and the food. Not one item gave off the I've had better somewhere else thought and this is a rarity in the restaurant business. If your ever in Dublin and want to taste the most amazing wings and hamburgers this is your place! read more
It's probably a 4.5 more so just on the chicken wings along. We went here after a beer night out so wanted something that would satisfy the stomachs. Needless to say our eyes were bigger then our belly's! We ordered the famous must have wings which are most definitely to be shared! And the ribs and 2 lots of fries. One between two would have been enough. The wings were as always really tasty.. They'd cooled a bit so weren't there usually pipping hot self but I wasn't sending them back as the stomach wouldn't have been pleased. The blue cheese dip really compliments the sauce on the wings which have just enough spice to be enjoyable for me. The ribs were a good portion and came with a sticky smoked BBQ like Jack Daniels flavor sauce. The meat was tender and also great for sharing. I got a garlic dip with m fries. Was surprised they charged a Euro for it and it was a bit to strong for me so wouldn't be picking that up again. Definitely worth it for the wings alone. As a lunch option a few months ago we shared a wings and 1 fries and we were filled. This place hits the spot. read more

FAB place in Temple Bar! Great service and always busy. Only been there a couple of times once for dinner and again last week for Brunch. Well trained, young, friendly staff. Great menu and great food! Be warned though, its busy in the evenings and they dont take bookings, its first come first serve! But you can go there and leave your name and come back. I don't like wings but they're pretty awesome and a huge portion in here. I had the most amazing steak sandwich (its sirloin and as with the burgers there, its cooked to order) The chef very kindly cut the fat off it for me which meant I could get down to enjoying it the second it touched down on the table! I took a friend there who has been travelling in India and was craving a proper burger and to my delight and 'I told ya so' I was able to provide him with a venue that serves amazing burgers. As far as price is concerned its not cheap but reasonbly priced for the quality of food and service you get. Defo recommend it as a favourite and guaranteed consistant quality in Dublin! read more

This place smells like wings hot sauce as soon as you open the door. Almost every table had an order on their table. We had dinner here in March 2019 on a Third night. We went in around 7:22pm and had to wait for a table for about 20-25 minutes. The staff was very friendly. I ordered two of the signature cocktails. The Orange Bay Spritzer and the Pink Elly. The pink one was better. The don't have spirits here just wine and beer. I ordered the soup of the day, roasted red bell pepper and wings and my husband had an omelette. Everything was very good. The place is small and charming and easy to find in the temple bar district. The wings were mild, not spicy at all and very small compared to what you see stateside, but you get at least 20 wings in the order, so it all evens out. Overall a great place if you are craving American style wings. read more

Came for brunch at 11:30 and was seated immediately on a Saturday. Didn't realize they have a location in NY that serves the Irish version of the menu. Will definitely try it out when I'm back home. We had the garlic burger and steak and eggs. Get their meat in medium rare! It's cooked perfectly. Steak and eggs came with avocado and a fried banana. Yum! The garlic burger had this fabulous slab of garlic butter on top of the beef patty and a side of fries with garlic aioli. GENEROUS portions so come hungry. We would've gotten the wings if we had room.. Maybe next time! read more

The wings. They are incredible, so get them. The wings get 5 full stars from me. The service also gets 5 stars from me. We ate here twice, coming back entirely because of the wings. The other items we had dragged down the stars a bit. Herbed frites were definitely not worth it. They were just paper thin strips of potato mixed with a pile of rosemary. Not even worth talking about. Molasses Ribs were very good at first, but they were very sweet - almost like candy. I had 3 and was done, had to move on from that overwhelming sweetness. My husband, however, liked them very much. The Garlic Greens were good, but not worth talking about. The three leaf salad was surprisingly my favorite thing (after the wings of course!). It was just arugula and red cabbage tossed in a vinaigrette. Although simple, it was exactly what I needed to balance out the wings. Oh! And the charcuterie board was very good as well. I would have liked more than just Parmesan cheese (maybe a Brie?), but I have no real complaints there. All in all, we would go back again. In fact, we did. read more

Sorry to buck the trend here but I really don't see what all the fuss is with E&C. As well as waiting hours for a table the staff forgot about us a few times the time I visited. The menu was ok, hate to break it everyone but the famous chicken wings are now available in Tribeca in Ranelagh as well, they poached the chef. So same idea different area code really. Maybe I got the place on a bad night, was packed and anywhere in Temple Bar, which is seriously over-rated anyway, is going to be a hard sell for me. Yes its a popular spot, there's better restaurants around though. read more

I lived in this city for years before I tried the restaurant Elephant and Castle. I suppose I resisted so long because I thought that it was overrated and not worth the long wait to get in. But I was wrong. This restaurant has amazing chicken wings that come with a blue cheese dip. This dish is nice and hot too. The wings are coated in a unique sauce that tastes like mesquite and vinegar. I'd love to get my hands on the recipe! There are plenty of other things to order if you're not keen on chicken. The restaurant covers all three meals and actually serves brunch too. And Temple Bar being the hot spot that it is you're never short on atmosphere. read more

The strange mockney name 'Elephant and Castle' had initially put me off visiting said restaurant. And it's Temple Bar. But, similar to everyone else's experience, a friend was raving at me about the fantabolous chicken wings, so in the end I let her bring me. Anything for a bit of peace and quiet. The place was fairly packed when we got there, even though it was only the early afternoon. The staff were very pleasant and courteous, though. I must confess that I didn't order the famous chicken wings, as I'm not that far gone on chicken wings generally (the idea of them is always much nicer than they actually are) but as far as chicken wings go, the ones in Elephant and Castle were very nice. Not sure that they justify the hype, though. I ordered the burger myself: very tasty, 11 or 12 euro with chips included, so pretty reasonably priced considering you're in a proper restaurant. Elephant and Castle was a pretty nice spot, but I don't think it would be advisable to go there after 5 or 6 in the evening because if it is as bad as it was when I was there at 2(ish), I can only imagine what it's like in the evening. read more
