Dr. Salmonson in the College Park & Stockbridge offices is an extremely knowledgeable individual and he shares his insight in a very friendly manner with the patient. The office staff is great at making people feel welcome here and they act very professional around the patients. They're also great with helping to tackle those insurance policy headaches!! Each of their offices come equipped with a Keurig machine in the waiting area for that quick morning caffeine jolt, and their offices are quite clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend visiting the Woolfson Eye Institute for all of your eye care needs.

Go for your free consult and a week and a half later, you are scheduled for eye surgery. They re-check your eyes multiple times to make sure that they have the correct prescription and everyone in the office is so kind! Dr. Woolfson himself is a nice man who put all of us at ease. The procedure was rather simple and routine! It took no more than 20 minutes with only a small amount of pressure and nothing to scary and I was 20/20. It was so easy, in fact, I couldn't believe that I waited this long to have it done! By bedtime, I could see perfect and the next day, I had legal driving vision- 20/20. No pain or discomfort. For anyone who is thinking of checking into LASIK, I highly recommend Dr. Woolfson and his team! Very professional and very good! I couldn't be more pleased!

I got a botched LASIK job in ATL, and went for a opinion here. My issues were exactly those referred to in military guidelines compounded by large pupils and vitreous detachments in both eyes. My questions must have been spot on. I believe this bc upon my departure, i walked out with one of their " release" forms. Some goon ran out and demanded it back. Lasik was a big money maker. Lasek is the surgery i should have gotten. Yet Lasek is more painful as there is no flap. Eisner defended LASIK and he should bc it has it's positives like easy tune ups post initial ablation, but he failed to grasp that in my case, LASIK was not ideal or perhaps neither choice was. Not once did Eisner acknowledge the militarys views as well as Dr Gaytons. An open mind instead of fear is the way.

The initial assessment was very nice, there were only a few people there (went to Dunwoody location), and the doctor that did the assessment was extremely knowledgeable and wonderful at explaining everything. I had to go to the Galleria location because they had the more specialized laser for my horrible prescription. I wasn't really nervous, but excited to finally have the procedure. I was a bit put off at first (not to the point I'd reconsider) by the sheer amount of people there for Lasik-- and ONE doctor. It's definitely a mill. They must make a fortune. Second, I was put off by the doctor. He looked really rough-- like a homicide detective or military captain. Like he's been beat up a lot and doesn't shy away from a good fist fight (LOL). He smiled a lot, to make me feel more comfortable, but he didn't really try to answer my questions and seemed annoyed (some of the things he said to expect were NOT what the doctor who did the assessment said-- he didn't have any interest in hearing it). All said, he did know how to use the laser and corrected my vision just fine. The surgeon is just one of many of the cogs in the wheel, there is no patient-doctor relationship, and they make it very impersonal and sterile to manage expectations (IMO).

After speaking to several friends about their experience with their LASIK surgery and how happy they were with it, I decided to take the plunge, and am soooo glad I did! I decided to go with mono focal surgery and have one eye done for close vision and my dominant eye done for distance vision. I had tried it before with contacts and had no problems with it, my brain works it out and I don't notice any difference unless I cover one eye. I had the surgery 2 days ago and am already seeing things better than I have in a long time! Dr. Wild was super patient with me, taking his time to answer all my questions, explain the procedure and what to expect, even what could be done later if I didn't like the mono vision. Dr. Smith was great, explaining what was going to happen during surgery and even telling me what was going on during the surgery. He and the tech made sure I was comfortable and had enough numbing drops in my eyes that I couldn't feel anything that was happening. All of the staff from the girls that checked me in at the front, to the techs that helped me through each process were extremely friendly and helpful with any questions I had. They put my mind at ease about having surgery on my eyes. I was referred to LASIK Plus in Duluth by a friend who had his surgery done there over 10 years ago and will be highly recommending the Duluth location and their staff to everyone I speak to about My LASIK surgery!!
