Bikes were in poor condition and when I told the employee about it he couldn't have cared less.

Had an issue with our bike tire. Kyle was able to help us out the same day unlike other shops in town. We ended up just replacing both tires and I thought price was fair. I appreciate that Kyle noticed the new tube in one tire was not right and corrected the issue. My only note is when we went back to pick up bike the next morning the shop was very busy with renters, so it took a while to check out. Rented a carbon fiber mountain bike for 2 days. I loved it so much i called to rent another day and i could extend my rental over the phone. Great customer service. The bike has typical scuffs and scrapes but nothing that affects its performance. It's a great bike! When I'm back in Breckenridge for the winter I know where I'll be renting skis! read more

Had a binding break while snowboarding so I stopped by for a fix. Wasn't sure if they would have the right parts, because it wasn't a typical binding. Luckily, the man who greeted me did have the right part and repaired it extremely quick! Price for the repair was very fair and he saved me the rest of the day so I could get right back on the slopes. Great repair charges, quick service, friendly customer service. The guys at Elevation were amazing - I believe it was Pete and perhaps the owner that were in that day. My derailleur snapped off and they didn't have the part I needed so Pete called other shops in town to try to help fix the problem. As it turns out, no one had the part needed. Unfortunately Elevation didn't have any rentals available, but they were kind enough to let me store my bike at their shop for the day while I went out riding on a rental from another shop. Despite the entire situation, no money was exchanged during my time in the store - and you wouldn't have known it based on the way I was treated. Had an unfortunate malfunction on our bike rack driving up to Colorado so we stopped into elevation to see if there was anything they could do for our bikes. Kyle was incredibly helpful and he replaced our tire in no time, as well as set us up with a rental. He also recommended some good trails for us, so all in all really great customer service. We had a great experience with Elevation Ski and Bike. Their service went above and beyond which contrasted dramatically from other bike stores in Breckenridge who seemed inattentive or apathetic. We were up from Denver for a long weekend in Breckenridge when my son's bike needed his brake pads replaced. We stopped in three other shops before finding Elevation Ski and Bike. The shops either didn't have the pads or advised that they typically only provide service to customers who rent bikes from them. When we stopped by Elevation Ski and Bike, I anticipated that we would be lucky to find the brake pads. I was worried that the bike stores may have low inventory of bike pads due to COVID 19, and that could be the reason no one had them available. We needed pads for a Trek Fuel Ex 7 Mountain Bike which can typically be found in any store that services mountain bikes. I also assumed, we would need to install them ourselves which would be a pain, because the piston brakes had clamped closed and I didn't have a spreader. Kyle, the store owner, was happy to sell us the brake pads which he had in stock. Josh the mechanic offered to install them for an additional $10. We asked Josh, if he wouldn't mind looking at the derailleur. My son had been experiencing a delay when switching gears and the chain coming off at times. We thought the derailleur might be bent. Josh advised it was a stretched chain. So, we had the chain replaced. Josh also noticed the cable was kinked, and he replaced the $3 cable as well. After getting these minor repairs, the bike performed dramatically better. No more delays in switching gears or the chain popping off. We greatly appreciate the time and attention that Josh provided the bike. Where other stores appeared uninterested or unable to help us, Kyle and Josh were extremely attentive and helpful. read more

My husband and I spent a long weekend skiing in Breckenridge, and we were referred to Elevation by a friend with lots of experience in the amenities of the area. We had no trouble completing our reservation online, and even got a courtesy call from them on the day we got into town to remind us that our equipment was ready and waiting whenever we were. Phil greeted us when we arrived and I was impressed by his easygoing, yet knowledgeable personality... I haven't skied in 12 years, but he put me at ease and made sure I was comfortable with all of the equipment before I left with it. My skis were perfect for my skill level and looked brand new; the boots were comfortable and sturdy, and both were well adjusted before taking them out on the mountain. We also met Jenny, the owner, and were assured that if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. We had a great weekend skiing and spending time in the Breck area, and we'll definitely rent from Elevation the next time we're in town. read more

3/7/13: Updating from 1 star to 3 stars. I spoke to Jenny the owner. She seemed genuinely concerned and shocked. She apologized and apparently Mark no longer works there. She also refunded our full rental amount. She did what she could to make it right. Given that I changed from 1 star to 3. I would give them a chance, but ensure you are treated excellent and if not, walk away and tell Jenny. I am not sure why she did not know about Mark sooner, but I hope she will put in some in-store feedback mechanisms both from employees and customers to hopefully catch these things sooner. Thank you Jenny for making this right! Here is the issue I had that cause me to originally write a 1-star review. I called ahead and was told to reserve online - person on the phone was helpful. I did that and reserved 3 snowboard rentals (wife and two kids) and one ski rental (me). My wife and kids went in first as I was picking up our rental keys across the street. When I walked in, there was someone rudely talking to my wife and laughing at her because she could not buckle the boot. He was basically condescending and aggressive, while not caring at the same time - this was MARK - same person noted in the other negative review. He told her "just buckle the stupid buckle, don't you know that!" When a boot did not fit, he would yank it away and then literally throw other ones at my wife and kids. I introduced myself and said hi, he said nothing. Then I looked at the boots - they were ski boots! I asked him for the snowboards and if these were snowboard boots. He said "NO, those are ski boots, it would have been nice if you had told me that before, thanks a lot!" I asked him - did you look at the reservation sheet you printed out? What does it say - SNOW BOARDING. He looks and realizes it and keeps going on about how someone should have told him how to do his job. I told him my wife and kids had never been skiing or snow boarding. They walked in, gave their last name, and were told to sit down (rudely), Mark then brought out the wrong stuff and proceeded to then yell at them because they did not know he was wrong. We were getting ready to walk out with a nice employee came in and started to take over, all while Mark continued to be rude, throw stuff around, not answer any questions we had about how the bindings work, locations to ski - nothing. This was a horrible start to our vacation and the WORST SERVICE I have ever received ANYWHERE for ANYTHING. There are a ton of other rental shops with actually nicer equipment and cheaper prices - up and down main street. Choose any of those and you will love Breckenridge! read more

Elevation was one of the better ski rental shops that I've been to in the past 8-10 ski trips out west. The prices for their performance package were some of the best in Breck after calling around, especially after applying the Yelp certificate. The guys working there were all friendly and very helpful, especially with their offer to deliver our equipment to our house as well as come back to exchange a pair of boots. Great customer service and great people. I went in with my 3 kids as part of a bigger group that all rented here, and they did a fantastic job fitting us properly and getting us out into the snow. The guy fitting my 4 year old son called him little dude, which made his day, and later recognized us on the slopes and made a point to say "hi." (I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he was great) After we started for the slopes, Jenny called to let me know my daughter had left her goggles behind in the shop, (we brought these in, and didn't buy them there)She held them behind the register until we could get back. Jenny even went above and beyond by helping us when a member of our party hurt himself and couldn't ski on days two and three. Equipment was in good shape, and price was good too. First bike store on Main Street .. Everything was good but I used the bike for an hour and a half and ended up paying $24 ( half day price ) coz they did not offer hourly rental prices ! This is my fault as I should have shopped other places .. I don't have anything negative about this place except the price ..the guy who attended us was nice . read more
