My own personal experience was marvelous! The staff was polite, the spa was clean & very calm. The massage tech was kind enough to explain, to me as she messages different parts of my body, which muscles she was messaging & why. Next, onto my facial which was informative since I don't wear ANY FACE MAKE UP BECAUSE MY SKIN IS SENSITIVE. The tech recommended a sun screen which they sell there so I bought it and I'm glad I did because it works & it hasn't irritated my skin. :) My friend & I are planning on going back to Elevations once a month. read more

Wow I called first day of Covid being lifted and was able to get service that day. Covid standards were excellent for clients. Best all around spa on the mountain. I'm surprised this spa doesn't have more reviews! I was skeptical at first, seeing that only about 26 people have written about Elevations. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service and my relaxing yet strong-pressured hour massage for only $85. After my massage, they even offered me a heated neck pad to use while continuing my experience in their quiet relaxation room. I was given herbal tea, and I ended up spending a good 30 minutes just resting and reading there. I had a great time here and would highly recommend to anyone who needs some R&R away from the slopes! read more

My husband and I had a great experience here. We got in for a couple's massage like hours after I made a reservation and they had no problem getting us in and comfortable on time. The women who did our massages were super friendly and very knowledgable on massage techniques and stretches. I came in with a sore shoulder and left feeling so much looser and totally content. They were truly sweet women- both telling us all about the town and fun things to do in the are (as this is our honeymoon vacation) My ONLY qualm (and reason for 4 and not 5 stars) is that the businesses hour massage is really expensive.. Not to say that either of the ladies weren't worth every dime-- but $85 for an hour with no extras is pretty pricey in my book. From the time I called for an appointment, the warm greeting, the comfy cozy space, friendly and warm staff...to the excellent facial (bonus massage) and excellent 90 minute massage, I enjoyed every minute of my experience. Currently at the spa waiting for the rest of my girlfriends to be done with their treatments. We had a large group of 9 girls but they were able to accommodate all of us. I had the 60 minute custom massage done with Irene and she did such a good job. I felt relaxed and comfortable the whole time! Everyone who works here is kind and professional so I'm sure they'll all do a great job. Everything was pleasant and sanitary, even drank a cup of herbal tea. But the receptionist said that they do dipped nails, not exactly true. I went and the nail tech said she has only done it a few times and kept stating that she didn't want me to be disappointed. I went with French manicure shellac only because she said it was stronger than gel color. Well that was a $55 mistake and now all of my nails have broke and are shorter than ever. Moved here recently full time and didn't want to go down the hill for a Brazilian bikini wax... so called to make sure their waxing included this service. Needed to be on the same page, or it could've been awkward to say the least. From the outside, the spa didn't seem very spa-ish, but the second you walked inside, you felt calm and peaceful. Madison, who took my appointment an hour earlier over the phone, greeted me with an offer of water or tea. Super nice. Then I met Amanda. Amanda is the master of her craft. She made you feel comfortable right away and excelled in what could be an uncomfortable and painful experience. This one was neither. Came here for the first time today, and had an amazing facial by Rhonda. It was so relaxing and my skin feels so good. The decor is beautiful, quiet and cozy with traditional Japanese art. Very small, but cozy, quiet and perfect place for relaxation, nails, waxing etc. I had a good experience here. I actually came in for a waxing, but I think I would come back for a facial sometime. Very quiet place, and the location is kind of tucked away- I almost drove right past it. The ambiance is really peaceful, nice tranquil music and very comfortable with low lighting. I was really comfortable even while getting waxed which we all know is not a comfortable experience lol I forget the name of my technician but she was really friendly and she did a good job. I liked how particular she was about getting every hair and she took her time instead of rushing through it and just ripping your hair out all fast lol Also whatever she used afterwards was extremely soothing for my sensitive skin. At other places I swear they just squirt water after they wax ya- it literally does nothing lol But what she wiped on felt cooling and soothing instantly. I definitely recommend this spa! read more

Never came out of a spa more glowy than I did after Elevations. The products are so perfect and smell delicious. Went in for a couples massage on our anniversary trip. It was so relaxing and so cute in there. It was freeing and I felt like I was on cloud nine the rest of the day. I was only a little sore, but just the right amount. My husband didn't have the same effect, but I blame him because he wasn't communicating with his lady at all. The receptionist was sweet, the music was perfect. I get relaxed just thinking of it. We were so sad to leave early and not make our second appointment because it was my favorite part of the trip, and even though we had cancelled late for my taste, they were sweet and kind, which working at a salon, I appreciate since I know how hard it is to fill that time back up once its taken. I dream about driving up there just for that. Everything about this place was relaxing and warm. Will be back! read more

My boyfriend and I both went for a couple massage. I like deep tissue and that is what I requested and it felt more like a Swedish massage. I wanted her to go harder but she did not. Not good massages and very expensive. I think she taught she would hurt me since I have mobility issues. My best friend and I went here during our Spring Break stay in Big Bear. We both recived the mini facial (30 minutes) and a pedicure. Since, it was a Monday and most places aren't open they only had one lady working, which they did forewarn us about. The two ladies were very nice and accommodating. We both agreed that the facials were the better part of this and the pedicures.. well not so much. The few issues i did have while we were there ( and I go to spas a lot): 1) When I asked what type of facial we were doing, she only responded with a "mini facial", but wasn't able to actually tell me what she put on my face. All spas I've been to always let you choose the type of facial you want for your skin type/concern. It did however help my acne and overall skin appearance I noticed. 2) The pedicure wasn't worth $45. Just saying. Other than that, everything else was great. They even provided us with a discount ($10 each) because we were staying at one of the near by lodges and saw their add. read more

Was on a work assignment up in Big Bear and decided to take a break and get a facial. I chose this location because they were able to take more then one person at the same time. It was me and a co-worker. We arrived and inside the location looked just like the photos. It had a wonderful spa smell and were greated by a very friendly girl. We filled out the forms and they were ready for us right away no waiting. They did offer tea or water while we were filling out our forms. I had Kelly and my facial was wonderful I could not have asked for a better facial. My skin felt so smooth afterwards and it still looks great. My co-worker loved her facial as well. Nice entrance and greeting area. Unfortunately, they schedule appointments so tight that they actually slide notes under doors to the treatment rooms if a therapist is even one minute late. The pressure to hurry up and get onto the table and to hurry up and get dressed sucked for me. The therapist was nice and apologetic but at paying I felt cheated. Elevations is a blissful retreat away from the hustle and bustle outside and I can't recommend it enough. The moment I stepped inside I was totally taken in by the tranquil, calming atmosphere. The receptionist offered me tea and a hot pack before even I sat down! I walked in stressed and wound up and within 5 minutes I felt worlds better. And the massage! The therapist was so wonderful. She talked through what was bothering me and what we could do to work on it, even suggesting stretches I could use at home. Wow. Such an amazing experience. After the massage I came back to the real world slowly in a nice lounge with big comfy pillows and some fish in a tank. I left feeling like a new person. Thank you Elevations!! read more

Thanks again, Amanda. Next, was my hour long, body treatment performed by the ever-so-attentive... RITA! Super nurturing and careful when pampering me into a nirvana-like state. She explains in a soft soothing voice exactly what consists of her session. She was professional and has been serving people with her healing hands for a number of years. Exfoliated, basted my body with herbs and oils wrapped me up and turned up the heat. Meanwhile, receiving a Neck and foot massage. Elevations Day Spa is the biggest Spa in Big Bear Lake as far as I know, it is still a relatively small place where we got a warm welcome and where treated in avery personal manner. We all got massages for 85.00 dollars per hour. There where 5 of us and everybody insisted that there massage was the best one they had ever had.
