Eleven11 is a cozy little Benson hideaway with couches, warm lighting, and a retro 80s rocker vibe. It's the kind of bar where you grab a drink, find your corner, and settle in. Not really a social spot, more of a place to sit with your thoughts and let the room do its thing. I stopped in for a quick moscato and immediately loved the décor and the bookshelf tucked off to the side. Came back later with my better half and she felt the same way. The space is warm and nostalgic, but there's definitely a distance in the air that keeps everyone in their own lane. The bartender barely talks and keeps everything very stoic, but he makes a solid French 75. Not the best in the city, but easily in the top ten. If you're looking for a quiet, introspective bar with character, Eleven11 hits the mark. read more

I can't believe I didn't know about this place! I love a good wine bar. To start, the charcuterie board was phenomenal. Service was friendly and helpful. I loved the wine I got. What an awesome bar in Benson. I don't even know how to explain the décor so I included a photo and you can decide for yourself. There is a lot going on, but somehow it all works. We stopped in on a Thursday around 6pm and it was pretty quiet...in fact no music was playing and I always find that to be awkward. Thankfully, that was remedied quickly and we were able to enjoy our very strong Old Fashioneds. The seating we selected was very comfortable. You can choose a spot in a cozy nook, place a group on some of their couches or sit up front and watch the Benson activity via floor to ceiling windows. read more

I was excited to try this place with my wife, decided to visit on a Friday night. Sat at the bar for a glass of wine (originally planned for more, but ended up just having a glass). It's very nice inside, I would call it classy eccentric. It is well done and tasteful, but is also a bit quirky at the same time. Very nice bar with seats, some tables, and lots of big comfy chairs. The bartended was quite and didn't really engage us or offer up much advice. Everyone also seemed to be "members" inside, which made the place seem a bit stuffy. I would consider going back for another try, but wouldn't go out of my way. If you're a wine-o, maybe you'll love this type of place...if you're a casual wine drinker, there's plenty of other bars with a few wines to choose from that are much more inviting and fun. read more

My husband and I moved to Omaha from Washington D.C. a couple of years ago when stationed at Offutt. We stumbled upon Eleven Eleven doing a quick Google search, and it was the best find of our time in Nebraska. If you become a member (which you should), you can attend a complimentary wine tasting every Wednesday evening. Not only is membership cheaper than anywhere in D.C., but it seems to be on the lower end for Omaha as well, and complimentary wine tastings are a sweet deal. This gem has a moody, 1970's inspired lounge with chesterfield couches and mid-century oil rain lamps. The interior is excellent, but the wine selection is better. Wines are chosen from all over, from well-known locations to countries I didn't even know produce wine. The flavor profiles of each pick are fascinating, and honestly, combinations I have never had before. The owner is profoundly knowledgeable and has a remarkable memory and talent for selecting unique wines. Bottom line, come to this wine bar. We recently moved back to D.C. and truly miss this place. Eleven Eleven is the most authentic and knowledgeable wine bar without being too expensive or pretentious. A true Omaha gem. read more

Tired of being completely ignored every time we go in there. Bartenders rather tell stories with the regulars than acknowledge customers. Well I hope they pay the bills as we will not be returning. We had a bottle of wine and ready to go as well as a martini to be ordered. Waited and was ignored. I wanted to love this place because it has wine tastings on Wednesday evenings and is very close to my home. A friend of mine invited me to the tasting, which was rushed (because they do 3 tastings, 1 hour apart and you have to leave the tasting seats right away to make room for the next people). The person telling us about the wines, I think was the owner, became short and sarcastic when questions were asked about the wines. I asked what he could tell me about a specific wine, and he told me that it was a Blaufrankish and walked off (I can read.....but have never had that wine before). I came back a second time a few weeks later with my friend for a second chance and the tasting was less rushed and the owner was friendlier. We opted to stay and grab a bottle of wine and some food after the tasting and some friends stopped in later. When it got closer to closing time (30 minutes) the bartender started telling us to hurry up and that we needed to leave. He seemed upset by our conversation (we were discussing the supreme court nomination....so, yeah there was a little politics in it.) and he actually came and told us to get the F**K Out - 20 minutes before they were scheduled to close. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!! read more

We went on a Tuesday night about the third week they were open and had a great experience. I know nothing about wine, but the bartender was very helpful, first making sure I knew they had liquor and beer available, and then asking me a few questions about flavor preferences and helping select two different wines I really enjoyed. We ordered the olives and bread and butter; it was clear that it's fine to being in food from other restaurants - pizza by the slice from Virtuoso across the street seemed to be the favorite the night we were there. The space is comfortable- enough light to see but not so much it's blinding; comfortable couches, some tables and chairs, and barstools that are more like super tall padded chairs. read more

The bar's wood is made from the Kelley's Bowling alley lanes off Saddle Creek and a couple of lights from the old Mr. C's off of North 30th Street. For you Omaha natives, you know what I'm talking about. It's great to see these artifacts pop up somewhere else; with another life instead of at the dump. There are comfortable couches and chairs towards the front, complete with nice lighting; giving this place a cozy living room feel. Cool art adorns the wall from area artists. A solid wine selection to choose from. There are limited food items too. I had the Trim Cabernet Sauvignon by Signorello. A great cab and would definitely order it again. Wine can be ordered by the glass or bottle. They have a large selection of wine either to go or enjoy there for a $5 corking fee. They even have vino verde for those who like young white wine. A great addition to the Benson area! We stopped in early evening on a Friday, and there was a free tasting being served in the back. We sampled quite a few of their wines, and the winemaker's explanation of each offering was succinct and interesting. We ended up leaving with a couple of bottles, as is our custom, and a vow to soon return to enjoy a glass in the cozy couches that are apparent when you enter the establishment. read more

The bar is made from a former local bowling alley lane and some of the lights are from a former beloved restaurant in Omaha. Very cool space--warm and inviting. They have a nice curated selection of wines both available by the bottle and by the glass. It was nice to find out that they will open any bottle off the shelf for a 2 glass minimum and then feature the rest of the bottle for other guests to try on the chalk board.
