Had a great experience here, I brought in frames that needed lenses. The turnaround was within 24 hours for my prescription which had to be specially ordered. The owner answered all my questions, and I was in and out pretty quickly. I am used to having to wait at least a week if not two or three for glasses, so having such a quick turnaround was a very pleasant surprise for me. This is the only place I know that carry light ass frames! You might think the frames you have now are light but once you get one from here you will realize how heavy and uncomfortable they really are. All the frames are from Korea so they fit Asian faces with low nose bridges, so no pushing your glasses back up and no annoying red marks on the sides of your nose bridge. They carry some cheap frames around $60 and expensive ones around $300. Cute little shop and very attentive service from Michael. He doesn't rush you and can give you honest feedback if the frames don't suit your face, which I appreciate. I tell my friends to go here cause I want them to experience not having to feel glasses on their face. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing them cause they are so light! The frames selection is great that I even pay out of pocket when I could just wait for the next year to have my insurance cover it. read more

This is the best place for specs! I went in with my prescription and since I had a lot to ask for lenses the glasses weren't able to be done in 20 minutes they still were done way faster than anywhere else. Michael was super friendly and very knowledgeable about glasses and he helped me picked a pair that works really well on Asian features and on me per se, which i wouldn't be able to myself. They are out of network but the insurance claiming part was also easy, and Michael was there to answer all of my questions while filling it. What a great experience. Michael was super kind and incredibly helpful. I came in specifically because I wanted glasses that would fit my Asian face. My old glasses sat so close to my face that the lenses would smudge as soon as I put them on. Michael immediately knew the solve and gave me direction on the types of frames that would work best for me. After learning a little bit about the types of styles I liked, he picked out a few pairs to start me off. I then spent time on my own trying on many other pairs and in the end I still ended up picking the two that he initially recommended - he was spot on! This cute little place is located in the same plaza as Happy Lemon. Please note that when you go at a specific time the parking can be very cumbersome. I was in need of some glasses and upon seeing this store many times while going to Happy Lemon I decided to look it up online. Upon reading reviews, what sold me was that glasses would be ready in about 20 minutes. As I walked in, the store was so aesthetically pleasing. I fell in love with all the frames and sunglasses they had to offer. What I like about their frames are that they are all lightweight! The price ranges for frames range from $30 to the high $300's. For the basic poly-carbonate lenses that I got, it was $60. In total I paid $120.00 for my frames with lenses. No regrets here. I'm tempted to go back to get another pair :) read more

I came here because I had an emergency situation: I lost my glasses in the ocean and I desperately needed a pair to tide me over for the next few weeks. I tried calling Costco, JINS, Warby Parker, and Kaiser...none of them did same-day glasses. The quickest they could do was 5 business days and even then you had to pay an expedited fee at some of these places. In comes eleven, which is a Korean glasses store. It's a smaller franchise. I called them to confirm they could do same day glasses. What really struck me was that the man that picked up the phone was so cordial and polite. I gave him my prescription over the phone. Because my prescription is super strong, he let me know that he could make glasses in 30 minutes but that the lenses would be super thick. If I wanted to get thinner lenses I would have to order, and they would take about 1-2 business days. I ended up visiting the store the next day. I appreciated their COVID-19 policy: they ask that if you try on a pair of glasses you leave it at the counter so they can clean them. I came in at 11:30am on a Sunday and I had the whole place to myself. The man working there was the same man that picked up the phone; he's super nice! He's not pushy, but very helpful and he'll give you a second opinion on glasses if you need them. He really gave great customer service. I managed to find a $60 frame that I was OK with and I ended up paying $120 for everything. $120 for instant glasses....what a steal!!!! This is probably the only place in San Diego that does 30-minute glasses during COVID-19. That alone makes it a great place, along with the super nice guy working there. read more

Hidden gem in the middle of Convoy's food hub. This place looks like a modern third-wave coffee shop from the outside! Wooden interior with lots of natural lighting, wide open space, and easy-to-see displays of frames categorized by style. Nice plants and furniture strewn around to lighten up the ambiance as well. I came in to replace my old frames. I had my prescription ready (they're planning to have an in-house optometrist available soon i believe) so the process was very fast. The employee (michael?) walked me through the frames that he thought would best fit my face shape (an expertise i definitely do not have) and i glided through trying different styles on. After I picked a style I liked, Michael gave me a quick estimate of the price (super reasonable) and the lens options. The frame was similar in price to my old frames from Warby, while the lens options were significantly cheaper than other places. I ended up upgrading my lens (my first time) since the price was reasonable enough. I was super satisfied with the service, speed, and especially the reasonable prices! Super convenient location as well since it's near the popular food places i drop by. read more

I've been needing new glasses for a while now and I decided to hit up Eleven Optical. Great place with a wide variety of choices in both style and price. They offer a lot of unique styles that I don't see at other places/online and a lot of their products are imported from Korea. Eleven also offers sunglasses so they got you covered in that department as well. The employees were super friendly and made sure to help me with every need. I'm a pretty indecisive guy when it comes to buying products but their inputs helped me make a decision that I'm not regretting. I loved the friendly environment and reasonable pricing. Went in today after my eye exam from another place. Michael was super kind and helpful with suggesting a pair for me! They have a pretty decent variety of glasses (imported brands from Korea!) that will fit anyone's face! We were masked up, and I was able try on any pair of frames, as they are sanitized after use. I ended up going with something more stylized that I wouldn't normally go for thanks to Michael's (and my friends') suggestions. It was mid-week and still early in the day (around lunch time) so I was the only one there. Michael had my glasses made in less than 20 minutes (my prescription is very low)! He is very honest and not pushy, and also very knowledgeable. I recently had the great fortune of semi-randomly deciding to conduct business with Eleven Optical as they are located near my work / gym. I had broken my best sunglasses several years ago but have not be able to adequately replace them. I thought they were a lost cause but luckily was too lazy to toss them. On a whim I decided to check out local eyes shops to see what kind of repair services they offered. Liz was very responsive via the Yelp messenger and ensured me the sunglasses could be fixed. I stopped by after work w/out an appointment and Liz had the sunglasses fixed, cleaned, and as good as new in under 10 minutes. She even provided a fancy case for me. My puppy ate my glasses and I needed a replacement in a few days before our vacation. First this place was great over the phone. I explained my need for fast turnaround and he said he could likely get me a pair in 25-30 minutes! For any special lens needs it might take 1-3 days, but after reading my RX over the phone (guy knew his stuff) and not needing fancy lens treatments, I could get them quick as 30 minutes. And true to his word, I got them in 30 minutes. While waiting I ordered dinner for my family at the Japanese restaurant on the corner (also good). 30 minutes later, I had my new glasses and food to feed a crew. This place has a great selection of frames as low as $30 and $60 and a lot of selection at that price point. Of course they also had more expensive frames going up to $300 with most in the $150-250 range. Also decent number of sunglasses (non-RX and I assume can be made RX). Best part, if your RX changes, he can just put in new lenses into your existing frames vs. Costco where if frame is more than a year old, you must buy new frames. So, assuming you love your frames, you don't have to replace them and thus the initial investment pays off. he gave me copies of detailed receipt so I can submit to medical spending account for reimbursement. I called another place first but they wanted me to get their eye exam and seemed unenthusiastic to even talk about my current/existing RX. And then it was going to take over a week. I usually use Costco for my glasses and contacts but I am so happy I found this place. I highly recommend at least checking this place out. read more
