This place was amazing! It was so fun coming here and riding the go carts. The space is so well decorated and makes it ten times cooler. The actual go carts are so fast and fun- perfect for a small get together with friends. However the one draw back is the price. It was around $50 a person which was quite price. This was a fun time & an easy to plan event! To make a reservation you need at least eight racers. (Spectators can come & watch, no charge.) We had ten racers & a group of spectators. Each racer got two 12 lap races, food & drink, one hour reserved seating, arcade tokens & top finishers got medals - plus all racers got to race together with a reserved time. The price was about $80 per racer. We paid separately for additional food for spectators. These go carts are electric, so no smell & pretty quiet. A few things to note, racers need to be at least 48 inches tall & if you have more than twelve racers you then split into two groups. Also, K1 has an Arrive & Drive option for just racing, it's first come first serve. The day we went was for a birthday. After checking in racers registered & signed waivers after which they got balaclavas & helmets. Instructions were given but it was rather hard to hear. Our racers had a blast...they loved it - it was a great experience. Right after racing our lunch was ready, it was served buffet style. We choose Cheese & Pepperoni Pizzas, BBQ & Buffalo Chicken Wings & soft drinks. There were no salad or vegan options. The pizza was good, however the wings were even better & delicious. Since we were a big group we had a private party room. The only outside food allowed was dessert. Our party ran smoothly, the staff was friendly & very helpful. All in all a great time! read more

Such a place to wind down from the weekend. My godson rather enjoyed it as did the other racers. Like everything else it's a bit pricey. Something to do in nice in a while but for me not a frequent adventure. The staff was nice and helpful and knowledgeable. They also give military discounts. Had a decent enough time. Came as a group to a company holiday party. You register and sign a waiver, get your head mask thing for the helmet and wait your turn to go. There's food and drink for purchase, a game room and such. The lobby was neat and clean. Most of the staff were nice and knowledgeable (until the end when payment couldn't be figured out apparently.) listening to the rules was a little tough, it was hard to hear anything being said. It was my first time ever driving a go kart, and a higher speed one at that. It was fun. Getting bumped and spinning out was even fun haha. Even though I came in last, it was still a good time. The price is a little crazy. It was $55 a person for two races (for an hour and a half worth of time). They don't tell ya the first race is only a "qualifier" so once we did that, we all expected to be racing two actual races. Nope. They do "medals" at the end where the top 3 got on the winners podiums and got little medals. It was fun for a team event but pricey for what it was. read more

K1s Karts and track are decently fun to drive, not gonna lie. Also awesome to have a reverse mode as most karts don't. However, that is where anything good at K1 completely comes to a halt. I've never been as appalled at how much an entire staff just doesn't care about customer experience and most importantly safety. Granted I'm not your casual karter, as a league member at another track in town. (Podium carting, up North, just stop reading my review now and go there- save yourself the trouble and time) From waiting in line for 30+ mins while the staff radioed back and forth to each other on how to use their pos (point of sale lol) system. To next to ZERO focus on the safety briefing, which is probably the most mind boggling of all. To poor race management, flag operation and very frustrating flag accountability. It's hard to expect a bunch of casual go kart drivers to keep the racing clean and SAFE with the lack luster safety and driving instruction. Teach people more of the basic fundamentals and they will drive better and safer and you'll probably have a more enjoyable day at work. Let the inmates run the prison and you'll hate life as much as the guy running the pits, the controller and main flagger. He just grumbles and barks, makes noises and whips the shit out of the blue/red flag without really holding slow drivers accountable lap after lap. Four adults went to K1 Speed for my son's birthday. The workers were friendly and helpful albeit a bit fast in explaining things (it was our first time here). The go-carts are crazy fun to drive and we had a lot of fun. Thing is, the signage says no "bumping," but that's simply not true. Some folks are very aggressive and familiar with the track, while the novices are learning the track while others buddy bump them. Had I known... Also, the game room was under renovation and I wished the website had noted this point before we ventured to the location. read more

What an adrenalime rush! We did a team building afternoon at K1 and had an awesome experience. The package included 3 races and there was some wait time in between each race but this gave me a chance to catch my breath. The carts were fast and the track has enough turns to keep things interesting. The staff was very helpful and informative. We had a competitive group but raced clean. The front desk staff was helpful and the track staff helped my six year old learn to drive a cart. They were incredibly patient and kind. As a parent I was worried but the low speed carts appeared to be pretty safe. We went on a Thursday afternoon and didn't have to wait long at all. A fun and unique experience. WAAAAY better than go-karting when I was a kid. The staff were friendly and fun, and the pizza they provided for my son's birthday was better than expected. The karts at K1 Speed are electric, quiet and they handle easily. The track is indoors and there's a nice arcade and eating area. It would be 5 stars if it hadn't been so hard to schedule the party. You CANNOT get someone at the location on the phone. If you call the local number, you'll be routed to a call center (which might be in Iowa or Kazakhstan), and they'll just tell you to go to the website. Once you do, they say they'll call you back, but instead they email you. Good luck if you have questions or want to change your plans. I did. I couldn't get someone either at the corporate office or the location for five days. It was like they didn't want my money. It was bizarre and frustrating. I don't know when companies are going to figure out that the best way to make money is to actually give customers access to their products and service instead of constantly re-routing them. read more

Absolutely awful establishment. Got an email with a coupon for a free race and we drove down on my birthday to find out you had to buy a membership to go along with it. Even though below it says that you only need to buy a $6 membership to get the birthday pass this is not what I was told. Initially I had some problems with my Groupon and had to escalate to a manager. Not that the young lady that originally helped us did anything wrong, I just think the messaging with Groupon could have been a little more clear. At the end of the day, I wasn't trying to get anything for free, I was just trying to get what I paid for. When I spoke to the manager on duty, Nicole, she did an excellent job resolving the situation and making sure the kids had a good time (because that's what it is all about). We ended up purchasing three packages for $55 and the kids had an amazing time! The reason why I would come back to this location specifically is because the way Nicole handled the situation. Here's the important info, a race is 14 uninterrupted back to back laps and they let you basically drift! This place is a ton of fun as a result and we were originally enticed me to come check them out was a Groupon purchase for 2 races for $70. We were really impressed with the track, who we later found out was designed by one of the managers there, Howard! Howard made our experience at K1 a ton of fun! We had some issues with our Groupon voucher that I had called a few days back and spoke with him about. When we arrived after some initial issues with the girl at the front, he sorted it all out for us and had us happy and ready to race! The girl who originally checked us in was a stickler for the rules and seemed a bit unfriendly but ultimately overall I'd recommend this place to others. We also enjoyed a fat tire before and after our races, which was nice! Just be aware there is a 2 drink limit, which seems pretty reasonable as the carts felt like 30 mph+ Come check out K1, and if you're having a problem ask for Howard! read more

This place is a lot of fun. It is great for team events, large parties, and larger group gatherings. I say this because I have visited this location two times. Once for a team event. It was super easy for everyone to get checked in and set up and all of the people helping were super helpful with any questions that we had and the track runners made sure to explain everything to us (more than once haha). While racing everything was great - the cars were nice and fast and the track is simple but challenging as well. They have a few quarter games while you wait to race, but they could definitely have more options and better options. The second time I went to race, unfortunately my friends and I were not able to. We called earlier on a Saturday to ask about walk in availability for a small group of 4 people. The lady over the phone was extremely nice and I regret not getting her name, but she explained to me that while they did have parties at 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 that if we came in between we would be able to ride while the others rotated to ride. Sad thing happened next we got to the location around 8:11 and when we got there we were told that we were not going to be able to ride until after the last party was over at 9:30ish. Since the entire venue rotates groups of riders every 14 laps we were a little shocked that even with calling ahead we were not able to ride unless someone else missed their ride or got knocked out of the race. All in all, this is a fun place that is a bit overpriced with little food and game options other than kart racing so be prepared to wait and self entertain. If I could say one thing I wish that they had a better walk in policy and were able to be more flexible with scheduling and ride times. read more

Decently crowded place, wait times are not too bad. The track layout is fair, wish there was more variations of types of turns, mostly S turns and one tightening sweeper, meh. I really liked the F1 canvases they had, made me really want one. The staff is friendly and they try to be as accommodating as possible. I do not recommend unless you want to get flagged for someone hitting YOU from behind AND YOU getting in trouble for it when you're even in the right side. Oh yea and the employees don't have a limiter. And don't let them tell you differently. When there was a crash. The employee who worked there (mind you he joined the race after us) flipped the other guy off, all of our carts slowed down while only the employee's sped off. The boys running the track need to be taught a lesson in manners and track education. Some might be colorblind. But the ladies at the front were very nice. read more

We didn't even get to drive this time. The girl at the front desk was very rude (08/21/2021 @ 5pm). When we clarified with her that the wait was 50 minutes, not 15, she gave us attitude about it when we were being nothing but friendly the whole time, so we left in a hurry. I miss The Track at Centennial. I never was treated like that there. I'm not sure when we will go back. That was the second time that the wait time was too long for us, but the first time we were treated like Un-welcomed and intrusive guests. From the reviews I've seen, we aren't alone in that experience here. I hope that at least clean up the customer service because electric karts are genuinely a great time. K1 has a great business besides their employee issues and typical [extensive] afternoon wait times. read more

Great concept, but horrible execution. Drove an hour to take my kids but the place was booked for a birthday party. They don't take reservations, so there's no way to assure a spot. Left three messages with corporate HQ about securing availability day ahead, but no one returned calls. I wish I could get a refund for the huge race package I purchased. The inability to plan means you risk wasting an enormous amount of time driving out there. It's incredibly poorly thought out. The racing itself is great and the kids love it. But unless it's a birthday party with 8+ kids you can't be assured of timing. Makes me want to give a seminar on business 101 and customer service to their leadership team. Facility is new and well maintained. There were several air hockey tables and areas around that helped make this K1 what I expect K1 Speed to be. The staff is efficient & quick. It took about 5 minutes from sign in to get me in even though there was a decent crowd (granted it was a Wednesday though). The track was somewhat challenging with a good mix of turns, both ascending and descending. One of the turns that stayed on my mind for a while was this straight run that met a 180 turn that was followed by a wide 180 turn. The track is medium sized with quite a bit of creativity and challenges. One recommendation I have is they should flag for people to pass more aggressively--there were several turns (especially after the straight away) where people were bunching up and getting caught up, ready to pass, but couldn't. They were polite though in making sure that I was familiar with the flags and even quizzed me on them. Upon passing the "quiz," they quickly let me in and all their helmets were in great condition and clean. The boxes they have for us to put stuff in were mailed to the shelf, which was nice as well. They are good in starting everyone off nice and slowly and moved us slowly up and allowed us to reach higher speeds as time passed--my other recommendation is that they should speed the karts up sooner. Given the track style, it was creative, but in order to really see what's working to move up the speed, I need consistent speeds to measure lap by lap--but I really couldn't do that until a few laps in, which in a sense were supposed to be practice laps...but felt a bit wasted. Overall, great place. I'll definitely come back again if I'm in the area. Tip: Get the $48 Groupon for 4 races & 1-2 annual licenses! read more

A big group of us went there for a birthday celebration. We just wanted 1 race just us. There were 9 of us so we thought they would honor their word. Well just another disappointment. No manager/adult on-site. Flag you to let the employee to pass who was in every race and was way better than everyone on the track. We ran 25 second laps he ran 22 second laps and we were constantly flagged to let him by. Could not have had a worse experience. We paid A LOT of money! 5 of us ran 3 races 2 ran 2 and 2 ran 1. Add it up people. We paid to get ran off the track by the local pros. Avoid at all cost. I guess I will drive a little further next time. Time and money wasted. read more

Really disappointed by the lack of safety on the track. I witnessed an accident where two drivers under 14 were speeding out of control and one driver crashed and drove up on the other car! The one driver walked away with a broken arm or wrist and all the staff did was remove the car and send everyone back to racing! The negligence driver wasn't pulled from the track. Multiple times this same driver bumped others on the inside and again wasn't removed... not worth my safety, money! read more

Really pissed after spending 400 dollars for a family event, the instructor for July 8 during 6pm, Was very rude about the rules. Very disappointed how involved they are controlling the race through a remote I felt it just disrupted the point of the race I understand it's for safety but come on do you have to stop it every minute....? Visited this place in August for my honey's company party. They locked down the facility for an hour of indoor go cart racing. This place is pretty awesome. You would think it would be very loud but it is actually quite quiet. They provided us with the hat that you are to wear under your helmet. The staff puts forth concern on how you are belted up and helmets in place. This is a fun place to go to if you are looking for speed. HIGHLY disappointed. My daughter accidentally put in the wrong birthday on the waiver and the manager was such an a-hole, she told the other employees to let her fill out another form, which she would have been allowed to do if that manager was not there. She drove an hour with her group of friends and was not allowed to race but was told to come back tomorrow in order to race. The manager humiliated my daughter by saying her behavior was "sus". There was NO need for that BS. Mistakes happen. My daughter admitted she put in the wrong birthday. It was a computer- they make mistakes all the time. It's not like she wrote it in pen. Went go karting for my sons 11th birthday. We have gone to a similar place many times but in another state. Well let me tell you my experience here left alot to be desired. The entire experience from A-Z was extremely disapponting. My son was taller than then recommended height yet was stuffed into a childs size go kart because his legs werent "long enough" for the adult size and they wanted to avoid his injury (more like liability) and while I understand that they should readjust the height requirement because its obviously not accurate. But I let that roll. Then when he was "racing" he was with kids that were atleast half his age and who couldn't drive at all. So everytime they collided or hit the side rail the cars would revert to the caution speed. This happened atleast 6 times during his "race". I went to talk to the cashier who quickly referred me to her manager who then told me after not listening to my full complaint that there are no refunds. I promptly replied to her that if she had listened properly she would have heard that I was voicing my displeasure not demanding a refund. I also told her that they need to rethink their strategy regarding heights and ages because this wasn't what I paid for. She then offered me a free race which I declined. Then my husband had the hardest time finding a helmet that fit. Once he had determined that he was going to ask for a refund one of the employees told him that there is one large helmet and he produced it from the back bottom corner of the shelf. Post race my husband noticed that he had lost the ear pieces to his glasses (due to trying on so many helmets) and no one seemed to care or wanted to make any effort to help us find it. Which in itself created another issue. Extremely disappointed in what is considered service these days. read more
