They have installed air conditioning units for us and responding to issues here and there very promptly. Highly recommended.

We asked for someone to come and give us an estimate for re-routing a heating/air duct because we removed a wall. We received an estimate that was extremely high and stated that all drywall work (open wall and replaster) was to be done by owner. A general contractor did it for less than half of the estimate and included the drywall. We just received a bill for the estimate. 149.00! We were not informed that we would be charged for the 20 minutes that the technician was here to give us a bid. I will never use this company again. They are overpriced. read more

I called Elite Air in Carson City to take a look at a furnace that had stopped working. I told the person I believed, from my observation, that the draft inducer fan had gone out and that even though it was an older unit I would like to repair it if possible. They sent someone out in a timely manner. That person told me that the circuit board was not sending out power. I questioned that as it had been trying to run before, but shutting down. I also confirmed he had the unit plugged in to power as I had unplugged it after determining it wasn't operating properly. He insisted board was dead. He said circuit board was no longer available as unit was 30 plus years old and even if it was that cost would likely be so high it would make more sense to buy a new furnace. So Elite Air sent me quotes for 3 choices of new units ranging from over $4600 to over $7000. I t't Ed about these options and had pretty much decided to go with one the options, but felt that , before spending that much $$$ It would be prudent to take another look at my old unit. As it turns out, there was no problem with the circuit board. I ordered a new inducer fan ($150) and new ignitor ($20) from a parts supplier and installed both myself. Furnace has been operating correctly ever since. So, apparently, the person from Elite Air was either incompetent, or unethical. I do not know which. I do not believe he was incompetent because, from what I was told, he had ample experience with HVAC systems, so that only leaves the other. Either way, it's unfortunate, because my furnace IS old and WILL likely need to be replaced at some point in the near future. Had Elite Air diagnosed the situation correctly and made the repairs then it is likely they would have earned my business for a new unit. Instead, they tried to sell me a new unit I did not yet need, and are now billing me for a service call for which I got no real service !!! Needless to say, when I need a new unit, I will go elsewhere! read more

100% my new HVAC guy. Called him over a weekend when our AC went out in a heatwave, he got back to me same day. He talked us through fixing it ourselves since he didn't have anyone available right away and didn't even charge us. Our AC was up and running within an hour. Very happy. read more

Chad and owner Ed were so helpful and very knowledgeable. We had another company come out and clean our system and they messed a lot of things up. They were able to fix the problem and educate us at the same time so it didn't happen again. We thought our house was falling apart lol but they ensured us it wasn't. read more

Our AC stopped working we had no power to our nest thermostat. I phoned our "HVAC Company" which we pay a maintenance fee to for situations like this one. They said we had to wait 11 days before they could come out. I asked why do I pay you guys for. He said if I weren't a member I would have to wait an additional 2 days. I phoned Elite Air I left a message. The owner called me back a few hours later. He asked me some questions. Then asked if he could call me back and he said he would walk me through some tests. When he phoned me back he with a few simple steps had our AC back up and running. Awesome Customer Service. He has earned a loyal customer. I promptly canceled our contact with the other well known HVAC company. I would highly recommend Elite Air. read more

They are easy to reach and set up appointments. The techs are always on time, friendly and very knowledgeable. They get the work done promptly, are thorough and do any necessary clean up. I called Elite Air Systems, and Ed was super nice, he got someone over to look at the AC the next day, even tho I know he was busy. And he was the only one I had any luck with getting to the house in a timely matter, all of the others said next week sometime. Then, Chad showed up, and what a delightful man! In this day and age, its rare to see the level of customer service Chad exhibits. And he swiftly found the problem, fixed it, and it was very reasonable, and I'm very happy not to be sweating like I was! I called for an appointment after I swapped out my thermostat to a "smart thermostat" and my HVAC system stopped working altogether after 24 hours of working correctly. I received a phone call from Ed Cavanaugh a couple hours later and he was able to walk me through some troubleshooting steps and we were able to diagnose my problem. Ed spent a considerable amount of time with me on the phone and he was incredibly patient and helpful. Went by this business on Thursday afternoon and actually spoke with the owner and a senior tech for about 30 minutes. Tech came out the next morning (on time!) and diagnosed the problem. I had a bid that afternoon and a new furnace installed the following Tuesday morning. Great communication, no 3xtra charges beyond bid, even though one tech had to make a run back to Carson for a new thermostat. Just a good, and rare, feeling that you're getting a straight deal. read more

I called at 4 in the afternoon, I spoke with a woman that took my information and said a services tech would call with more information about when they could arrive. Finally at 8:30 pm I called again to see if they could give an estimated time of arrival. They could not. I gave the dispatch my contact information again and waited for a call. They never bothered to call. Now it is 8am the next morning and I am calling other companies to make other arrangements with another company. No heat all night. What bothers me the most is that they completely blew me off and didn't even have the courtesy to call and say they couldn't make it. Never again! read more

Ed and his team are top notch! I had some major issues from an installation by another company who refused to fix their work.. I was referred to Elite Air Systems from a friend. When I called, I was spoken with right away and they were able to send someone out same day to look over my issues. Within a few days the problem was fixed and now my heater works as it should! Ed is a straight up and honest guy. I wouldn't hesitate to have them do future work and I will refer them to everyone from here on out. How often does the owner of a service company return your call within minutes ... and on the weekend? I needed help with my air conditioning unit which had stopped working in 100 degree heat, and I got it. Ed Cavanaugh helped me diagnose the problem by phone, locate the necessary parts numbers, and had the parts and technician available Monday morning for immediate installation. We had cold air again, and are we thankful! The repair also saved us thousands of dollars compared to a new unit which we would likely have opted for had we been pushed in that direction -- but we weren't. I got a bid for replacement of my furnace from another heating & air company in Minden, but wanted another opinion/price quote on repair or replacement of my non functioning old furnace. My real estate agent recommended I contacted Elite who gave me a much better price on furnace replacement than the competition. Chad, the tech, came out the next day with a new furnace. He told me he could repair my old one if I wanted a repair instead of replacement. I opted to replace the old furnace because my house if for sale & a new heating system would help with the sale. Chad did an excellent job, was extremely knowledgeable, efficient & friendly. I now have a new furnace, plus parts that make it air conditioner ready for a price way below the competition's price for just a new furnace. I highly recommend Elite Air Systems. Heating system was cycling on and off every few minutes. Josh was able to resolve issue with no issues, which was great. However, when I received a bill I was told that Elite Air Systems charges something called a "TRUCK" charge in addition they charge travel time to the site. Neither of which was told to me when I called to setup the appointment. When I communicated with the owner about being charged these extra charges, he told me that both these charges are the industry norms. However, I checked back on invoices I received for other services I have received (plumbing and also HVAC work) as well as called few similar vendors that provided the same type of service and they indicated this was new charges and no they are not an industry standards. In short, buyer beware of charges you never heard of, because as this company did, create charges in an effort to double charge. BTW: They charged me $165 for 1st hour and then $130 for every hour after. Don't forget the Truck charge and travel time. For 61 minutes, they charged me $220!! read more

This company also provides service to Reno. And they were great! When my air conditioning condenser went out during the heat wave last week, Ed could not help me that same day. HOWEVER, over the phone, he helped me troubleshoot to see if there were any easy fixes. Unfortunately, there were no quick fixes. But the next working day he arrived and got it working.
