There were two chairs in the room that didn't quite fit. The room looks as if it may have been recently remodeled but they forgot to decorate it, so they threw a couple of sadly outdated prints up and a horrible image of a sheep's face against a wallpaper print wall. The heater needs work because it makes a noise resembling concrete being swept- all night long. The room had no visible power outlets near beds, where we expected to be able to recharge phones and multiple devices. In order to turn on the lamp between the two beds you need get down on the floor under the desk to find the switch, which was plugged into an extension cord under the desk. The room needs at least one reachable outlet per wall outside of the bathroom countertop which is too wet to act as a charging area. An outlet with four plugs needs to be installed between the beds at top-of-desk level. The bedside lamps are ancient and need replacing. We were very disappointed and found the room unacceptable. Don't stay here.

They spent the entire time smoking weed inside their room and outside their room in front of their/our door. The smoke drifted directly into our room. It was brutal. The hotel has signs posted everywhere about not smoking in rooms and that guests should move 25 feet away outside. My wife and I were traveling with our 9 year old and were really frustrated they couldn't walk from their room a bit and smoke. I don't care if people wanna smoke, you do you, but show some respect for the rules and for other guests, especially children, around smoking. I asked them very politely to move elsewhere and they acknowledged we had a kid with us (they themselves had kids but not with them) and that they would stop. I then informed the front desk worker and he said he smelled it and people are not allowed to smoke in their rooms or in the corridor and to let them know if they kept doing it. He was nice but they were already breaking the rules so some intervention or enforcement of the rules would have been nice. They continued smoking again early the next morning, so we decided to just pack up and leave. I informed a different front desk worker of the situation as we checked out and he also acknowledged he smelled it and they're not supposed to smoke and they should be more considerate of other guests. I let him know it ruined our stay and we wouldn't return, but still didn't really do anything about it. Guessing this happens a lot and the staff has given up on trying to enforce anything or just don't want to. The staff was friendly, but it was clear they weren't gonna doing anything about it. This is a roadside motel and very serviceable for people looking for a cheap stay, but if you're traveling with children, or don't want your room hot-boxed, DON'T STAY HERE as there's plenty of nicer options.

Reading some negative reviews from Booking.com and here on Yelp, I was a bit concerned. But we had a pleasant time there. The room looked new with simple but nice decor. I believe they just have all the rooms renovated. There were AC, but you can lift the window to get some breeze fresh air. They have Keurig coffee machine, small fridge but no microwave. The lady at the lobby (afternoon to night shift) was very nice and helpful. Plus, there is a very nice coffee shop (coffee Catz) just few steps from the inn and across the street is The Barlow Community Market (a complex of food, brewing, grocery, shopping). I would recommend you to visit this lovely small town if you go to Bodega bay and stay in The Sebastopol Inn.

The room was spacious, somewhat dated, but the room (with the exception of the bathroom) was immaculate. The beds were comfortable. As I there for a two-day wedding celebration, and the Inn appeared to be the only lodging available in Sebastopol. I had booked a room with balcony, and the confirmation came back from booking.com that my reservation was with balcony. When I arrived, I was told that their computer system was down and 1) they wanted to make photocopies of both my ID and credit card; 2) They needed me to fill out two different letter size forms, with all inclusive information, address, telephone, credit card number, expiration, 3-digit cc security number, personal email address, etc. I objected to the photo-copying, stating I had never experienced this before, only out-of-country, when hotels sometimes are required by their national laws to keep photocopies of passport pages. As I had the wedding the next day, I could not move to another lodging. When the clerk gave me the room card and information, I saw that I had room with patio, not balcony. And at $204.06 per night, I expected what I had reserved. I brought up the booking.com confirmed reservation on my smartphone, but the clerk refused to look at it, stating that the reservation was with them, not booking.com and booking.com had come up with their own description. I demurred, based on my experiences with booking.com and other reservation sites and asked to speak with the manager or owner, but was told no one was available. As I was leaving the office, the clerk shouted after me, something to the effect that "I don't see why you feel so entitled." Apparently $204.06 per night did not allow me to feel entitled to the room I had reserved. The reception that I received clouded my entire stay. As I mentioned above, the room was immaculate with the exception of the bathroom. The entire bathroom could use a deep cleaning - photos attached of the lavatory and the toilet paper stand, which you can see is extremely rusted on its base and the tile floor could use a deep cleaning. The drain of the lavatory also needed work. The upkeep of the bathroom ranks at the bottom of hotels/motels/inns at which I have stayed. On my final morning, I checked, and someone had gone in to the booking.com site and altered the reservation to delete the "balcony" part of the reservation. When checking out, I was told the statement would be emailed to me, but after 25 days, I still have not received it. Even if I have another wedding to attend in Sebastopol, I could never bring myself to stay here again.

There is a no refund policy, which means you cannot cancel your reservations. This place is very expensive, more than what we wanted to spend. With it being summer, peak season, and no other rooms within 75 miles, we had no options but to take it. The place is very old, very very old. They said that they newly renovated. The repainted, put in new linoleum floors, super cheap beds, they are really cots with a soft matress put on top, they are not real beds. They give you a child size table and 2 child size chairs to sit on. A mini fridge, which is okay, and a very tiny microwave. They do not do yard maintenance, even though they say it is more natural and organic and better for wildlife, and to save water. They said the mow every 2-3 weeks. There are huge rosemary shrubs in front of all of the rooms. They are overgrown and should be trimmed, your view is blocked. There are a few plastic tables and Adirondack type chairs out in the field, but nothing near your room if you want to sit outside. There is a nice pool which they lock up every night at 7pm, so your family has to get out at 7pm. The bathrooms are small but come with towels, etc. They have hair dryers, soap and shampoo. We had a few issues our room, I reported it to the 800 number, whom told the manager. He called me and we discussed the issues, and said thank you, that he was unaware of those issue and he will fix them. I was satisfied with my conversation with the manager, he was very professional and understanding. Thank you Xavier. This place is next to Northwwods golf course. There is a restaurant at the golf course. Next door is a little cafe with good food. It is quiet and peaceful here except for a few noisy tenants. $320 per night is way too much for this place. First, the house-- The first floor is very open, with a big living area (and sectional sofa) opening to a large dining room that comfortably seated all of us. The kitchen is spacious, and easy for one or two people to cook in. The knives are even sharp! There's a small bedroom on the first floor with a day bed. For some reason, it was the coolest room in the house. Upstairs are three more bedrooms (one with bunk beds!), the master suite, and another full bath. The beds were comfortable, everyone slept like babies, and the master suite has a kickass deck. There'a big back deck nestled in the redwoods with views of the river. Going towards the back yard, there's a nice hottub that we barely used because it was super hot outside. The yard is totally fenced (great for the dogs), and the back yard had fruit trees that will be great for a later guest once the fruit is ripe. The houses's location beside the beach path means you can go from front door to water in under two minutes. We spent a lot of time at the beach, and got to know some of the very nice neighbors. All in all, the best vacation house we've rented yet. Rob was super easy to work with, and I highly recommend.
