Bought a beautiful wedding ring with diamonds for my soon to be wife, but three days after we got married one stone detached and fell. We took the ring for fixing, Moe told us to go back in a week, When we went back for my wife's ring we were shocked, her ring looked like they scrapped a lot of gold off it, and it's color was weird, looking yellowish, like brass. We told the young guy at the counter what that ring wasn't ours. he replied that it was. He asked if i had a picture for comparison, but we didn't take any because we trusted them. I told the guy i was sure that wasn't our ring. The ring we bought was beautiful, delicate and nice, the one he gave us looked cheap, poorly made and yellow like brass. In the end he accepted we were right and said they would fix it within one week. After about 1.5 years of getting engaged, my newly husband & I decided we were ready for an upgrade on my engagement ring from 1 carat to 2 carats. A week later, I went to go see her and she had not only 1 diamond for me to see but prepared 2 different types of diamonds, with different price points. She thoroughly explained the differences between the two diamonds and gave us her professional opinion on what she thought would be the best option for us. We decided to go ahead with the GIA lab graded diamond with a better price point since it was exactly what we were looking for. The price was slightly higher than what we were looking to spend on this upgrade, but Zoe worked her magic like always and made sure she got us the best deal possible. I recently stopped by the fair oaks mall with the intention of only window shopping. I came across Elite Jewelers and a lady named Samira greeted me and mentioned they were having a 75% off. I told her I was just browsing. She was more than gracious enough to let me try couple pieces. And that's when a stunning sapphire/diamond ring caught my eye. I knew I was just browsing but I couldn't help myself by trying it on. I instantly fell in love with it. Samira gave me an offer that I couldn't resist but I wasn't ready to buy it just yet. She then told me that I could finance it for a year with zero down and zero interest and that was more than intriguing enough for me to go for it. Definitely a "meh." Felt more like I was being sold than served. I should have put on my Middle Eastern bazaar trading hat or my Motor Mile used car shopping swagger before walking in. First of all, who sells wedding bands with a "no return" policy? Good thing I'm already married and this is just a ring upgrade, but still, what if she no like? I did negotiate a one week return period, just to be on the safe side, but still. Red flag. Then when I did bring back the 14K gold band to upgrade to an 18K, I must have gotten the notorious super-salesman referred to in the 5-26-13 review below (by someone who only has one Yelp review, and signed up the day she made the review. Just sayin). "Well 18K is a LOT more gold." Uh oh, price hike coming. But I'm trading down from a 3mm to a 2 mm ring, so that's a lot less gold, right? Then out comes the catalog and lots of opaque but very sincere explanations for how I'm getting such a great price, and next thing I know I'm walking out having paid 50% more for my 30% smaller ring and feeling had. May have all been legitimate, but it left me with the same ick factor you have after you feel you somehow just paid too much for that used car. I, too, now have a No Return policy with Elite Jewelers. Better to go to a jeweler you trust. read more

Unfortunately, I did not do my homework and made a purchase here. The sales people were friendly. The manager that closed the deal was also very friendly and persuasive. My strong recommendation would be to run and make your diamond/jewelry purchases some place else. You will also have buyer's remorse when you realize that you were taken for a ride. Like others have mentioned, who have reviewed this store, they have a NO REFUND policy. You may spend hundreds or thousands and you cannot get a refund for any reason. So, I am bitter, and I have buyer's remorse because I invested in diamond ear rings that were severely overpriced. This is my fault for not doing my homework and stores are in business to make money. I realized the error of my ways just a few hours later when I saw better quality diamond ear rings in Sams and Costco at cheaper prices. There is nothing like the gut wrenching feeling of knowing that you were ripped off. Again, no one made me buy the ear rings, but I cannot return them. By the way, my spouse discovered a defect with the brand new merchandise. This will not be a long story, but I will offer some advice : 1) If you must purchase jewelry in the mall at the higher prices, go to one of the more reputable stores that will allow you to return the merchandise for any reason. 2) The prices are severely inflated in Elite Jewelers. You must haggle as if you are purchasing a car. No joke. 3) Even after you think you have a good deal, a little research will show that you have been screwed and you too will have buyer's remorse. I wanted to get a great replacement for a ring I had some years ago and decided to give the mall stores a try again. All the hype of Jared, Zales etc. Can be a bit overstated. I had gone to Kay to look and thought I had a pretty good deal working. Well on the way to pick up said deal, I decided to drop into Elite to compare. WHOA!!! Glad I stopped in. Worked with Nazy and got to meet and work with Moe. Let me say this, if this is a family run business, they do treat you right. They were extremely helpful. Really willing to make the best deal for you and then some and they work off the customer for life principle. I understand some people make the comment about inflated prices, but in reality, it is a mall jewelry store. You expect some inflation on the price point, but you see inflated prices all over even at the boutique stores and i have seen this same general set up priced higher at several New York's locations. As others have said. Do your homework. For me what I ended up with was on the same price point as other stores if not better and the deal was EXCELLENT!!!!, Honestly, the ring just looked better and the diamonds under the scope were what I expected. But again...what sold me is the fact that Moe and Nazy really worked to help me put together the matching set I was looking for. Moe made a customer for life today. I purchased a wedding band for my wife, white gold to be precise.,within two months my wife wearing it, she realized it was changing to yellow gold.it was a to match her engagement ring i gave her ten years earlier and that ring is still white gold and not tarnished. I have been doing business with Elite Jewelers for 3 years, and we have never had any problem. I deal with Moe exclusively and he is the man. When shopping for an engagement ring for my fiance, Moe told me to "Go to ANY Jeweler in town, be it Zales, Mervis, Quinns, or any of the Majors, and I guarantee I can make you a better deal for a better quality diamond." So, being the prudent shopper that I am, I went to find the specs of the ring I wanted and made a comparative analysis (which I brought with me to the negotiating table) showed Moe and, to his word, he found for me a diamond that was better certified (GIA), heavier in weight and lighter in clarity, while the cut Polish and florescence remained the Same. Moe is THE BEST Jeweler in Fair Oaks mall and if i were looking for another ring I would avoid the other majors that rip you off like : Zales, Jared, Mervis, etc. You'll only be paying for a name in these jewelers. I have referred three of my friends there for wedding bands, one of them being my best man, and Moe has always been accommodating. Most recently I went on a trip abroad where I was to propose to my fiance and I actually lost my Ring. Moe was able to procure another ring of an even greater appraisal value and for the same price that I had paid originally. That Is called ELITE Customer Service. Adding a tip after seeing the sarcasm in Jeff's reply - that nobody could write a good review on this place. I had a very good experience, purchased my eternity band here, with a very thorough (and fairly priced) warranty plan. I'm young, and feel as though at most stores my treatment isn't as good - sales people assume there's not as much commission to be made off me, I guess. This, however, has never been a problem at Elite. Found them quite friendly and helpful. The woman who sold us my wedding band actually allowed me to come in several months later to buy the warranty on the ring (after a scare I had with a piece of jewelry from Helzberg that continued to break). The woman who helped us was very conscious of what I was looking for, and our price range and never let that interfere with the quality of service she was giving. Overall, I'm still very pleased with the experience, and I love the beautiful ring I got out of it all. read more

I dread having to replace watch batteries because I always feel I'm getting ripped off. Its Sunday and don't have time to shop around. I went to the Mall and stopped in Elite Jewelers. I asked if they could replace watch batteries while i waited and the gentleman said 'yes.' I asked about the price since i've been overcharged for replacing batteries in my brand name watches previously. I was quoted $20 for my Michelle watch, $20 for my TIffany watch, and $20 for my no-name watch. I stated that I felt that was overpriced so was given a 'deal' - all 3 watches for $50. When I returned 20 minutes later, my watches were ready. I asked to see the invoice before giving them my credit card - as I felt suspicious. They asked for my name and phone number before giving me a printed invoice - while this transaction was taking place, I noticed that my Tiffany watch had not changed time. The salesman said its because it doesn't have a second hand. (Duh!) The minute hand had not moved. He then took out his loop and examined the watch carefully. Im not sure what this would tell him. He then took off the back of the watch and removed what i believe was the original battery, stating that I must have gotten it wet. The watch is water-resistent! He fussed a little bit and then put a 'new battery' in the watch and returned it to me - advising me to be careful when I washed my hands. The watch is clearly marked 'water resistant.' Had I not checked, I would have walked out with the original battery,, having paid $20 for a new one. I felt suspicious from the moment I walked in until I left - and don't plan to return. read more
