5/14/22 We are officially 8 years in our marriage and here we are looking at rings, chains and other glorious items. I myself have a ring in my mind that I might see come to reality. In the meantime, I looked at this blue topaz ring and like the feel of the ring on my finger. However, the color yellow gold is not my cup of tea. Still, I like the cool blue glow that poured off the ring as light hit it. I look at the cool blue ring and invision my ring with created emerald and amythest in a Yin Yang design. I think of two fox head silhouettes engraved on either side of my ring. I go one step farther and picture a lab created ruby red stones for the eyes of the fox. I picture the ring in white gold, because this is how I want it. Haven't decided on whether it's 10k or 14k gold, but I have time to think about it. Not sure if I will end up getting my ring designed here, but I am glad to know this is an option. My sales associate had a great attitude and was helpful on my questions. I tried on a white gold ring with blue topaz, but it did not have the comfortable feeling on my finger. I like gemstones more than diamonds, so I guess I might not understand the whole concept of "diamonds are a girls best friend," but I can hazard a guess. I will keep this place in mind. read more

Weird customer service interactions. I had time to waste at the mall and stopped by in the afternoon to simply look. An associate came over and ask if I needed help, I said "no, I'm just looking". Every display booth I walked over to, she followed which was uncomfortable. So I eventually asked if I could see some rings for comparison (diamonds vs lab). We started talking about different styles and the minute she found out I already have an engagement ring in the works another associate called Yasmin came over and dismissed me and treated me the way you'd treat someone when the store is about to close, told me if I wanted to see more I can just to online..... Mind you I said from the beginning I just wanted to look around and didn't need help. Fatemeh and Kelly were extremely helpful when I stopped in to try on rings. When I explained that I was interested in lab grown diamonds they did not try to tell me that natural is more "rare" or use any other sales tactics. Fatemeh went through the basic qualities to look for and helped me understand how the sizes and shapes would look. I like that they also have settings without a center stone so you can place the stone you like on top and get a better idea of how it would look. This was extremely helpful to me! Put a review on their website after a diamond fell out of my ring in only three weeks, and it was removed along with other recent reviews of the same ring about diamonds falling out. My interactions in the store have been horrible and the way the store manager spoke to my fiancé was appalling. The only positive interaction I've had was with Diane. I purchased a Rolex watch from Helzberg Diamonds and after I signed the receipt it was stamped with no return. At the time of purchase, I was told the watch we pre owned and that they just got it in. I bought the watch and took it home. After taking the watch home, I noticed a card in the bag which stated "We are not able to Authenticate the Rolex watch". I began to look for signs of fake Rolex watches on YouTube. This is when I realized my watch looked nothing like the Rolex watches on YouTube. Then I noticed the card which the watch came with also said aftermarket parts. At this point, I was very concerned that I may have been duped. The following day, I took the watch to a certified Rolex dealer. A Rolex specialist at the Rolex store told me the watch was 21+ years old, it had fake parts and it cost 4k more than a new Rolex watch of that kind. At this point, I was very upset because these things were not disclosed to me at purchase time. I was not told I was buying an Antique watch (over 21 years old), and with aftermarket parts. The box it came in was also not a Rolex box. The parts to authenticate it as real were missing due to the fake parts added to the watch so I realize this is not what I wanted for my first Rolex. I do not want to pay 20k for a watch that is not 100% real, and I was not looking for an antique watch that is 21+ years old. I took the watch back the next day. This was at the end of December 2022. They refused to acknowledge my return and now I am being charged for a watch that I do not want and which I took back to the store. I even told them to keep my down payment of 2k and cancel my purchase, but Helzberg said no. This is a terrible company to do business. read more

I walked into Helzberg at 9:20pm on a Thursday evening, sweating and scared that I could not positively identify my diamond after a Zales send-out service (re-mounting of a 1c VS2 diamond from engagement ring to anniversary band). The Zales associate with whom I spoke tried to assist me for 45 minutes in matching the diamond's inclusions to the plot I had made in their store three weeks earlier. Neither of us could tell whether it was the same diamond. Three Helzberg employees listened to my brief account and happily agreed to examine the diamond with me. One of the employees brought me to a glass room with a very effective microscope / monitor setup. She had no trouble finding the diamond's inclusions and helping me confirm my original plot. The fact that we could both look at the same screen on a wall with 40x magnification made a HUGE difference compared to the capabilities at Zales. I will definitely go to Helzberg for my next jewelry service or purchase! read more

Terrible inconsistent customer service. I'm glad I didn't spend thousands on an engagement ring at Helzberg. My fiance and I have been shopping for her wedding band. We've checked out Helzberg in Tanger outlets, Pentagon City, and Tysons. Each had a different experience each visit. My fiance found a ring she liked at Tanger and Pentagon city Helzberg locations but we weren't able to purchase it because her ring size is a 4 which is really small. They claimed they can't even special order a size 4. So we checked out Helzberg while at Tysons and my fiance found a ring she liked at a great price. So the associate was very nice and helpful and even put an order for a size 4. She said it will take about 3 weeks and she will keep my fiance updated on the progress. Fast forward 3 weeks, no word from the associate and we even called. She acted clueless about the status. So we decided to go to the store in person and another associate told us it would be one more week. Cool, so we go back a week later to pick up the ring and another associate is pushing the extended warranty down our throats. We had to listen to her 5 minute plea for us to purchase the extended warranty. We declined after her many warnings of "well this may happen...." We were just trying to pay and leave, but she could barely operate the cash register. She had to get assistance from the manager to ring us up. Luckily it was only a few hundred dollars and not the small fortune I spent on the engagement ring. I wouldn't recommend plopping a few paychecks at Helzberg for an engagement ring. read more

I would just like to say how disappointed I am with Helzberg. My finace and I had been ring shopping for a few weeks and felt the most comfortable with Helzberg because of the sales agent, and the fact that both of our families had also made purchase from the chain. However I have been engaged for a month now and have only had the ring for a WEEK ! 1. I went to the fair oaks mall to have the ring cleaned, 2 hours later a stone is missing from my ring after they "inspected" it to make sure everything was good to go 2. I refused to take the ring back to this store to have the repairs made. So we went to the Tysons Corner location. The lady then marked all over the ring with a red marker, telling my fiancé and I that 26 prongs needed to be fixed (Keep in mind I have only had the ring for a week, which the store sized and deemed ready for pickup) 3. Now after getting the ring back and once again "inspected" one of the stones now has a purple tint to it for the lady coloring my ring with red marker. The store tried to clean the ring multiple times, each time being un-successful. 4. Now again my ring has to be sent back to the jeweler to have it "professionally cleaned" , so I have to loose my ring again for another 10 days. All the store can say is "im sorry ?" insane to me, If I could do this all over again I would have never picked Helzberg. read more

The BEST Jewelers I have ever experienced. The Manager there cleaned my ring and my wifes ring with courtesy above and beyond what was required. What really put it over the top was when he reconditionied my ring for free, removed two links from my wifes watch, and.... CLEANED a relatives necklace and rings (they didn't even buy them at Helzberg) all for free. I mean, what a way to attract future customers. When I have to buy that 5th Anniversary piece for the Mrs, I know where I'm coming. These guys are professionals and you will be doing yourself a favor by coming here. Helpful and not pushy! Mind you I was wearing a diamond platinum engagement ring. She was so rude and I would never shop there. My husband (then fiancé) and I were really excited when we found the perfect ring at this store after several unsuccessful trips to other stores. After purchasing the ring, they told me they would call in 4-6 weeks when the ring was ready. I called after 6 weeks of hearing nothing. They said your ring is in, in a really energetic tone (although they were supposed to call me). We were happy. We went to pick up the ring. I was a little disappointed it wasn't as pretty as I remembered. As I was getting ready to leave I asked for the matching wedding band I also had resized and they said that ring didn't come with a wedding band. I then realized it wasn't my ring! They were going to let me walk out with someone else's ring! Furthermore, it turned out my ring wasn't in. And they had no information on it and said another 4 weeks!! I finally got my ring. 6 weeks later one of the diamonds fell out. So I had to take it in for ANOTHER 4 weeks to be fixed. Meanwhile my wedding is getting closer and closer. Finally we were married. My husband decided he wanted to get his ring sized a little smaller. They couldn't tell us how long it would take because they said their corporate offices were "unreliable".. They said no more than 2 months to be safe. Which is ridiculous because it's just a standard gold band. It's been 6 weeks. We called for an update. They couldn't find us in the system for 10 minutes. Finally the manager looked us up and found us right away. They said they would call us back. They didn't. We called again and they said they didn't know. Then we got an email from our salesman that said he would have information in "a few weeks". Overall, terrible customer service. It has made what should be an exciting and happy experience pretty stressful. Also, absolutely get the care plan. From other reviews I think diamonds falling out is pretty common. Oh and why do you have to keep track of your routine cleanings on a punch card. They have an account for us. If we lose the card, our care plan is apparently not valid. read more

My BF and I were browsing at Tyson's for engagement rings. Amanda, sales rep, spent a lot of time with us and was super nice and helpful...and offered to clean a ring I was wearing(....one that has lots of tiny spaces and collects dust/dirt easily,) and I said OK and when she brought it back it was so nice and clean. Thanks! She did not rush or push us. I found a semi-mount ring that my boyfriend and I both like and will probably go with it, but still not 100% certain. I was truly impressed with the service we received and also think they have a very good website with lots of important information on selecting your diamond jewelry. Selecting an engagement ring can be really overwhelming and Amanda did a great job in assisting us with the process. Price-wise, I'd say Helzburg is moderate to pricey with very good to very high quality. This is not a jeweler for bargains or slashing prices (they don't have "sales" but do reduce various pieces.) read more

I visited Helzberg on Sunday with my husband who took me early Valentines Day shopping. I found a really nice ring I liked so we purchased it, the ring that was given to me did not fit so our sales rep sized my finger and let me know he could resize it for me so I said that was fine. He then let me know that instead if driving all the way back to Tyson's to pick up my ring I could just take it to the Potomac store, so I take the ring to the Potomac store the very next day and the sales rep there lets me know immediately that one of the diamonds in my ring were already loose and that the ring I purchased could not be resized to my size because the diamonds would start to fall out. I pick up my phone and call the Tyson's store and ask my sales rep if what they has just finished telling me and he assured me that he can resize it to my size and guarantees the diamonds will not fall out. With all of this said I now have to drive all the way back to Tyson's to drop off my ring and then drive all the way back to pick up and I am hoping that none of my diamonds fall out i really just want to return the ring because I'm already scared I am going to go through a lot of trouble with this ring I've had the ring for 3 days & have not been able to enjoy it! When we left to look elsewhere they didn't pressure us to stay and purchase immediately, and we did come back. My fiancé had dealt with "Franco," when purchasing my engagement ring. He is extremely satisfied and Franco was very helpful. I came in with my fiancé 3 weeks later to resize my ring and find a wedding band. He was extremely courteous and helpful again. We did spend a ton of money (10k+) for the engagement ring and our wedding bands, but was treated very well. Franco was extremely attentive. I didn't give this review a 5 star because the other sales reps aren't as courteous nor speak English very well... Unless you're purchasing something expensive, I feel as though you're treated slightly differently with the other sales reps as I've noticed while being helped by Franco. read more

Horrible customer service, awful repair service as well. They send out jewelry for repair off site but the quality of repairs is very very poor. It took a month for my pearl bracelet to get re-strung and come back to the store. I was shocked when I came to pick it up - despite being loose on my wrist before, I could barely close it on my wrist after their repair, super tight. The thread and metal spring fixtures they used were attached very sloppily, with pieces of wire sticking out and huge messy knots between each pearl. The $400 bracelet was totally ruined! The gentleman who was helping me named Sergio acknowledged my frustration with this bad repair and offered to send it back for another repair attempt. I asked if its possible to expedite the process as I had already waited a month and didn't feel it was fair or acceptable to wait another month. Sergio assured that he will find out and will call me back same or next day, before sending my bracelet out for repairs again. I never heard from him and called the store myself a few days later. Sergio happened to pick up the phone and said he is still working on finding out about a possibility to expedite the repeat repair. That was Thursday and he assured he will call me the next day on Friday, or Monday at the very latest. I didn't get a call from him on Friday, nor on Monday next week. I haven't heard from him at all. It is Thursday again, a week since I called the store, and still no word from Helzberg Diamonds. I have no idea where my bracelet is, or when and in what condition will I be able to get it back. read more

I did exactly that today to pick up a ring that needed to be resized and while the lady on the phone who told me my ring was ready in an energetic and friendly tone (although they did say someone was supposed to call ME.. ahem...) the lady that I got in the store was less then enthused to take care of me. She was a bit older and maybe she was having a bad day. But the way she 'handled' me was less than professional and certainly not inviting or nice. 15 years ago my husband bought me an anniversary band at the store. It's lovely and I wear it all the time. It's rarely been off my finger. That is, until December when I looked down and saw a diamond had fallen out. My husband took it back and we paid to have the diamond replaced. Within two weeks of getting the ring back it broke open and 7 of the 10 diamonds had fallen out. My husband took it back again along with the warranty card. Apparently if I have it checked every 6 months for free, the warranty goes on. Needless to say, it was under warranty since it had just been there. I shopped here for a temporary wedding ring for myself and my wife while we save up for proper bands. I fully expected cheap, mass-produced jewelry; that's exactly what i got but it's not a problem for our situation. What i don't like, is that even after I told them exactly what i was planning to do, they tried so hard to sell me jewelry that was far our of my price range and on a permanent ring. Since this is exactly what i told them I was not planning on doing, I'm not happy that thjey pushed so hard for it. When i bought my ring, they told me they would give me one they had on hand to take home, and let me swap it out when the correct size was delivered. After I paid, the manager came out to tell me that was not the case, and tried to get me to buy a second ring - the exact same - so I could have one immediately and one that fit when it was delivered. My boyfriend and I decided to stop at Helzberg to look for engagement rings and a wedding band for him. The staff (we worked mainly with Amanda and Franco) is amazing. Every time we came in there it didn't matter who we dealt with they knew who we were and were very kind and helpful. My boyfriend's initial ring didn't fit after he lost some weight and we came back in to return it and pick out another piece. Franco was patient, helpful and informative. I then decided to reset a diamond into another band and it ended with a return of the original piece and purchase of another engagement ring and wedding band. His band was scheduled to take a month to come in and it returned in less than 2 weeks and mine had to be custom set. There are no words to describe how perfect my ring came out after having the diamond reset. It was beyond my expectations. Not only did they listen to what I was requesting, but they pulled it off perfectly. We will never shop at any other jeweler. This is the best jewelry store I have ever been to, hands down.
