For the most part, my first time here was a good experience. The set I got turned out beautifully and I constantly get compliments on my nails. On that fact alone, I would recommend going here. -The place is a little basic, but clean and I felt safe with their covid protocols which included a temperature check, hand washing and partitions. While there a regular came for a pedicure and her temperature was not checked nor did she have to wash her hands. I get that the employees wouldn't be touching her hands but the guest would be touching the chairs, remote for the chair, etc -From what I've heard same day appointments are close to nonexistent so call ahead. I made an appointment but still had a 10 minute wait when I got there and then another 10 minute wait right in the middle of my appointment so the nail tech could do someone else's nail art. -My main issue was with the comments my nails tech made about my choices for how I wanted my nails. Getting your nails done is a luxury, not a necessity. It's your own choice on how you want them. Be as basic or as creative as you want and you should be in an environment where you feel comfortable doing so. My nail tech told me my choice was out of style. That I shouldn't go shorter. Spent half our time together trying to convince me to get a different color. Commented on the shape I wanted. When I asked for a matte top coat, something I prefer and do all the time, he spent several minutes telling me why I shouldn't get it then said it was up to me. I found all of this unprofessional and rude and truly is making me reconsider if I wanna go back. The work is nice but being lectured on my choices was so uncomfortable. read more

Let me start off this review with the fact that I never write them...ever, but I just had the best pedicure of my life. I'll probably completely murder the spelling of his name, but Batis put his whole life and soul into my pedicure. I got the volcano gel pedicure, and was it pricey, yes, but everything is now a days. He's the only person ever to remove my calluses without me squirming because I'm so ticklish, he massaged during the scrub AND during the lotion, and worked his butt off getting out my big toe ickies. I've already told my whole family about it. Will definitely be bringing my mom and grandma back for this experience. During the massage he brought down my leg swelling and even hit all my pressure points, it was amazing. The salon is very clean and welcoming, and the massage chairs were magical. Absolutely, without a doubt, hands down the BEST mani-pedi I have ever received. I have gone to various nails salons for 20 years now. And why various ones.?. Because I have never once had one done that made me go "I must always get my nails done at *insert salon name here*." At least not until now! The guy that put on my set was incredible. He is definitely a perfectionist and cares about his work. That was easy to see by his attention to even the smallest of details. The pedicure he gave me was to die for. I have never had a pedicure that wasn't painful at some point. He was so soft (and yet still extremely effective) even in the scrubbing calluses that at some point I forgot he was still working on cleaning, trimming, and scrubbing. The sugar scrub, knee down massage, hot.towel wrap, etc made me wish I could do it every darn day. Not to mention the massage chairs they have are the best I've ever sat in. The guy that did the color and design on my set did it freehand. Which as you can see in the photos is AH-MAZING! I don't know how he did the design work he did as quickly as he did. I believe he did it in like 15 or 20 minutes. That's just the glowing review of their skills. There's more!! When I called to make my appt they quoted me prices for each service I was requesting, as well as quoted me the approx time it would take for the services I wanted. They stuck to the price. Actually they ended up charing me less than they quoted. They were so kind and professional. I had one ear bud in listening to my music. I know there were a few songs I couldn't help but to sing. I am not the world's worst singer, but I am no professional by any means. They never complained or commented or anything. They just let me do my thing. We chatted some about where they are from and how this treatment was my birthday gift from my best friend. The pricing was great and more than fair for the treatment I received. The place was clean, elegant, and calming. They are also near a Domino's, so I was able to connect to their wifi. I was, and still am the next day, extremely impressed with this nail salon, their people, and their skills. I can't stop looking at my nails. Heck, I can't stop being impressed each time I look at them. I left a generous tip that was more than earned. I will 100% be returning here for all my nail needs for as long as they'll have me. This set is now 6 weeks in, off of a fill and still perfectly intact. Before finding this salon, other nail salons fresh sets typically lasted around 3 weeks (if that), and I'd never actually receive the design I wanted. The owner had a positive upbeat attitude and that's always refreshing. The salon itself was also clean and modern looking. Stay away from this nail technician. You have been warned. I went there last Thursday for the first time. It was very clean an organized. Nicer than the places I would go to. There were 2 gentleman and 2 older woman. Both women wore glasses. But one had curly hair and one had straight hair. The straight hair worked on my nails. Do not proceed with her. She is lazy and her nail polish application technique is very poor. I won't be coming back. I spent $87. I did a full set of acrylic and gel on top. Then got a pedicure. After she buffed the acrylic, she proceeded to put the gel. Typically, they ask you to wash your hands since all the powder is all over your hand. And also, typically, they give you a massage. None of that. After applying the gel, she put all of her things away and started setting up the pedicure area. At this time, I could not really see what she's done because I was distracted with my hands filled with powder. Also there were so much gunk under my nails. She also did take care of the dry skin hanging on my nails. Basically it was a bad job. I asked her nicely to please clean the inside of my nails. She used the mandrel machine to take that off. I asked the person in the front (owner?) while she was working on my feet if they can take out the skin hanging off on each nail and I will pay extra. He was nice and applied cuticle oil and said, "I just saved you $10. You have skin is dry...." After she rushed and finished my pedicure, the big toe had a deformed rising nail polish. She started working on someone and when she passed by, I asked her, "Is it possible to get this one fixed please?" She said, "Don't move around and stop touching it." Basically blaming me for her poor job. I am not sure if she understands English because she did not react to my response, "I did not move or touch it." I have had better service. It has been 5 days and her acylic/gel job is not holding well. I should have listened to the reviews out here. read more

I'm new to Ventura and haven't had a pedicure since March. I've been doing my toes and soaking my feet at home, but it's just not the same. I'm very mindful of where I go and when during COVID, so I'm happy to have found Elite Nails on Yelp. I contacted Paul via Yelp and he scheduled me in for his first appointment of the day which made me feel at ease. The spa is clean, new, they're following all CDC protocols and they keep the door open for good airflow. Everyone wears a mask and I had my temperature checked when I walked in. I set up an appointment (yesterday) for today with Paul. He alone far exceeded my expectations. I typically don't tend to try out places with a low number of yelp reviews but I tried to consider the fact that the salon was seemingly new and, well, COVID. Firstly, the location is great. Just a stones throw away from my house and super easy to find, located next to a huge CVS pharmacy. Upon arrival, your temperature is recorded. I really appreciate accommodations to keep our community safe! The shop is so clean and with a face shield between the nail tech and the guest, it's just an added layer of protection. I believe the salon operates by appointment only at the moment, so definitely call ahead of time. While the condition of the spa is pristine, Paul is really the star here. I think a lot of us have had trouble reintegrating into society and it was so nice to be treated with the utmost care and respect. I really appreciate the way he took his time on my pedicure, and made sure I was very relaxed. As a single parent, these moments are truly far and few in between so the genuine customer service is just unmatched. Thank you, Paul for making me feel so welcome!
