I requested gel manicure, a regular pedicure and eyebrow wax. The gel manicure was bumpy and uneven & the regular pedicure wasn't applied evenly. Here's another issue - when you check in they have you enter your phone number and register it, which I did. After I left, I got a survey about my experience, I put my dissatisfied experience in the survey, immediately I got a text apologizing for my experience and for me to give them a call so they can make it better. I was pleased of their customer service and gave them a call. Well my pleasure with them quickly dissolved. The young lady who answered the phone had no clue what I was talking about. So I explained to her again what happened and she said that was automated and has nothing to do with them - I did not understand that response since it's a system they were using and honestly she didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered. DO NOT DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! My mother has been a loyal client of Elite Salon Spa for over 20 years. She has also been going to the same nail tech for over 20 years, Van (female). I have always found Van to be a colossal bitch and never understood why my mother continued to go to her. My mother currently is suffering from dementia. She had an appointment today and her nurse accompanied her to the appointment. Van told my mother's nurse that she no longer wanted to do my mother's nails. She also told my mother that if she messes up her nails she was not going to fix them. So in addition to being a colossal bitch, Van also has zero compassion or empathy. I pray that if anyone Van loves or cares about ever suffers from dementia that they are treated with more kindness and consideration than she showed my mother. To make matters worse I spoke with the owner. After I explained what happened and how long my mother had been coming to that broke down salon he responded with "oh so your mother didn't like her nails." He wasn't even listening to me and when I asked him "did you hear me say she didn't like her nails?" He then went on to ask me "if Van treated your mother so badly why did she make an appointment with her." That was it for me. He is blaming my mother with dementia for the treatment she received. When I expressed my outrage for blaming the victim he said "oh well I always see Van be nice to customers." He never apologized not one single time. Van doesn't want my mother to come back because it requires her to take more time and taking more time for a client of 20 years means she could loose out on money from walk-ins. Based on how my mother has been treated and the nonchalant attitude of the owner all that is important is the $$$. So if you want to patronize a money grubbing salon then have it. read more

Meh. I came in as a walk in and was seen right away. The polish selection was okay, nothing amazing. I was taken care of by a guy, he never introduced himself so I don't know his name. There was definitely a language barrier- I kept asking to make my nails LESS square and he kept going MORE square so I ended up with a shape I didn't love. In addition, the color was really light and streaky. He should have done a 3rd coat, but I didn't ask for it either... I am not one to write bad reviews, but my experience at this nail salon today was terrible. It began with a pedicure by some older gentleman who was nice, and to a certain extent I felt bad that I was constantly asking him to clean the paint around my toe nails and the more he would clean my skin, the more paint he would wipe off with his brush. The entire process continued to get progressively worse as it came time to have my nails painted with gel polish. I remained calm the entire time because I did not want to cause a scene, but eventually the way my nails were coming out (gel polish everywhere) the nail tech used a very abrasive buffer directly on my nails and ruined my nail enamel. As he continued applying gel to my nails, there were globs of enamel stuck to my nails. I called the attention of another nail tech and requested that my nails be redone. (We are now into well over the second hour of my time at this salon). The new nail tech removed the gel from my nails and repolished them. As I'm ready to pay, I figured the courteous gesture would be for them to honor my manicure and only charge me for my pedicure. Instead, I was charged the full manicure and pedicure price of $55.00 and asked how much tip I wanted to leave. After I walk out of the nail salon, I realized the polish on my feet looked black and my nails looked dark red. I am a returning customer and I've been coming to this salon for quite a few years now, but this last experience left me a little bothered. Don't think I will be returning again. read more

Once you have that one place you trust, distance doesn't matter! My gel nail polish always lasts more than 2-3 weeks and never chips. It is an extra fee for gel but well worth it. The salon is super clean and the techs are very friendly. A gel mani takes about 20-25 normally. Even as a walk in you don't wait too long because they always have a ton of staff working and they are sooo fast! I've been coming to this salon, and seeing Kim, for years, and wanted to write an update for a couple of reasons. First, right before the pandemic hit and we all went into quarantine, the salon underwent a really nice and tasteful renovation that brought new manicure stations, pedicure chairs, and more... a much-needed face lift. They now also display the bottles of nail polish which I think makes it a lot easier to choose, as opposed to viewing the painted samples. I'm a visual person and I need to evaluate all of the options in any given color family, which is impossible to do when you have to flip through millions of samples. Also, in the past, my heart would be set on a color I saw in a sample, and then I'd be disappointed when they didn't really have the color in stock. Now, you're guaranteed that if you see the bottle, you know they have it. They have an amazing selection of OPI which is my brand of choice for gel. I also wanted to say that I recently visited the salon when it reopened to the public and I wanted to publicly commend them on all of the COVID precautions they have taken. For starters, when you enter, your temperature is taken immediately, and you are asked to go and wash your hands. You can purchase your own tools so you don't have to share with anyone else. There is plexiglass everywhere, including the manicure stations. Everyone is wearing masks and someone is continuously coming around to sanitize high traffic areas. I realize that I still spend most of my time alone at home and although there may not be many people who see my manicure/pedicure, it provides just a bit of comfort and solace in an otherwise depressing time. read more

I have been using Steven for nails for quite a while at Elite on Hiatus Rd, his work is excellent. I get dipped nails which can stay good for well over 4 weeks. I also use Janet for my pedi and always am happy. The receptionist is always so pleasant. I used to go to Elite on Flamingo Road found the tech so condescending and extremely unfriendly. Horrible customer service! I had been a client at this salon for over five years. I got a full set on Tuesday and three nail had fell off by Sunday. I called to get them replaced for free and the girl at the counter said to come. When I get there, they told me they were going to charge me to fix it. This is the most asinine thing I have ever heard! Your salon didn't do a service right, now I have to pay again to get it fixed! And on top of it, the manager and the girl at the desk did not handle the situation professionally at all. Those two definitely need more training when dealing and communicating with customers because they were very simple acting. I came here one day and received a regular manicure. By the next day, the nail polish had already started to peel off. I'm sorry, but that's unacceptable. I went back and explained that I had been in the day before and showed them my nails. I simply requested that they repaint my nails. The woman I spoke with had an attitude to begin with. Everyone has a pretty busy life and I had to stay late to work the next day, so I couldn't make it before they closed. I went the day after and unfortunately, the first girl I had spoken with wasn't there. I explained the situation to the other lady at desk and she said she had to talk to management. The manager comes over and says that I didn't come the next day so tough luck (ridiculous) and that if I want someone to repaint, I have to pay. I ended up paying the $7 because my nails looked like trash at that point, but I informed them I would NEVER RETURN and that I'd write this review. It isn't about the money, it's about principle and that's complete BS. I paid for a quality service. Spend your money at a better place. Gel nails aren't the end all be all, a regular manicure should last for a few days!!!!!
