This location has gone through a beautiful renovation since the last time I was there. The chairs are comfortable and the staff is very friendly. I got a gel pedicure and a basic manicure with no polish. I won't say her name because she was very sweet and I don't want her to get any pushback, but the technician was terrible at shaping my nails. It's like she didn't even try on the ones that were broken or ill-shaped. So, although she polished my toes perfectly, the awful shape was noticeable. When I asked her about it, she said there was nothing she could do because it was already broken. I will try this place again because it's close to home and where I shop, but I'll ask for one of the guys next time to see if they do better. This place seems to overcharge people depending on the situation. I went in for a manicure and pedicure, and they wanted to charge me $102 for a simple French style. I also had an existing nail set that needed to be removed. They told me removal would cost $20, even though their system lists it as $12. Their explanation was that they were charging more because I decided not to get a new nail set afterward. To make matters worse, the removal process was not professional. Instead of properly removing the nails, they were lifting and pulling them off while other nail material was still glued underneath, which was uncomfortable and could have damaged my natural nails. In the end, I paid $93 just for my toes with a solid color. When I arrived, the salon was completely empty, and now I understand why. Be careful and always ask for a detailed price breakdown before receiving services. In my experience, they overcharge for very basic services. read more

I was taken in immediately and things were going well until The tech servicing me went over a section of my brow and eyelid TWICE with SOFT WAX which is a big no no. This was the first time my friend and I had gone to this place. I was disappointed. We decided to get the $45 (it came with the hot towel, wax, lotion, etc..) We were only there for maybe 30-35 minutes. For paying that much for a service it should have been longer. They were not busy at all. They rushed everything. We then decided to get Easter colors for our nails. We only choose 4 colors. The nail polish was not that great, it was clumpy looking. He had to re-do some of my toes multiple times because it kept smudging and again, was clumpy looking. After we had checked out we noticed that he had charged us both $5 for a design. As you can tell in the pictures we did not get any designs, just multiple colors. I thought places only charged for a design? Something that is drawn on your toes, or nails. They never once mentioned that they would charge for more than 2 colors. We had never been to a nail salon that charged us for using extra colors. Marjorie was my nail tech for my third visit here. I asked for a french paint pedicure with a blue baby foot on my big toe for my baby boy that will be arriving soon. She did fantastic! She was quick, efficient, and checked on the comfortability of not only myself but my son that joined me. After she did a full set and while i never expect the nail techs to completely copy an idea i bring to them she got pretty close with the shape i requested and the gems they had. Whew where to start. First experience here two weeks ago was okay. I was surprised they add extra money for coffin shape but I wasn't mad. This time I was overcharged and had a tech who wouldn't listen to what I wanted to save my life. I ended up leaving with a pink and white acrylic. I haven't had that for ten years - it looks dated and cheap. Had a pedicure done with gel. For a gel MANICURE with no acrylic it's $15. For add on (gel polish with a service) it should be $5 as it was last time. I also had a full set done last time. Pedicure was a bit rough as Rose was very cavalier with the tools. She listened to what I wanted for polish. Next was nails. Philip took off the gel over the acrylic, and stated my tips were "lifting" and I needed a new set. I said that's terrible as these tips are two weeks old. He took them off and I inquired about just a gel manicure. He acted like he didn't hear me and showed me a photo of a pink and white acrylic on his phone telling me that my nails were "too thin need acrylic". No, they didn't. The goal is to not have the acrylic anyway. I repeated myself. He looked at me funny. I explained that pink and white acrylic looks fake and dated and I wasn't interested. "Okay but" he says and I say whatever. So what does he start? The pink and white! By this time I had been there over an hour - I had to resign to this guy telling me what I wanted! In what world?!?! I was furious and he knew it. At check out - he had the nerve to charge me for the take off of my tips (when their own inferior work caused a lift in two weeks) and balked when I asked for an itemized receipt as I knew the total was too high at $92.00 I had to argue and insist on an itemized receipt. Sure enough, they had charged $15 for gel polish and $5 for take off and pink and white just happens to be $30 more than the fill I should have gotten. So in total I was massively overcharged. Reading other reviews, it seems some there have a habit of overcharging for gel polish. I chose this place when I moved to the area. They've lost my business. I would say probably not for any actual nails; pink and white, acrylic, etc. I got white tips with acrylic over them, and they must use cheap products cause after 1 week all the nails were lifting, this shouldn't happen when you're charged $35-40. I went in for a uv builder gel full set and pedicure. She (didn't give me her name) wanted to start with my hands. I had put clear nail polish and instead of taking off with acetone she went to go do it with the machine. I pulled back and told her that's not gel it's regular polish it can be taken with acetone she said I do with this. I said OK but you're going to over file my nails. She still argued with me and said OK let's do your pedicure first instead then. I wasn't given options of any other pedicure times she didn't even offer so I guess I got the basic. Another coworker walked in and she said put feet in water I'll be back and left for almost 15 minutes to the back talking and laughing with the other girl. At this point I was serious. After doing the pedicure she's painting my nails. Drowned my cuticles with polish and tries to clean it off with a brush. I can see the second layer of polish, she didn't bring it to the top so it is noticeable. She was putting my sandals on & she messed it up and didn't want to fix it just tried to put acetone to move the polish. When I asked her to please repaint it she got upset. I ended up not doing my hands because if she can't paint my toes garden knows what my nails would've came out looking like. I would not recommend this place to anybody read more

Worst nail salon ever!! The only good tech here is Victoria. They've left my nails horribly damaged with rings of fire. Instead of soaking acrylics off the man tried to shove a nail tip underneath my acrylics to pry them off. They have left my nails with rings of fire and they almost always resort to drilling off or prying to get nails off. They have cut me more than 5 times (on various visits) and they don't even apologize! Customers beware. read more

This second time I received my deluxe pedicure by Wendy who is super sweet and professional on my first trip I completely forgot to get the name of the lady who also attended me but she also has a cute bob cut like wendy! I live in Davenport and I have slowly tried all the nail salons on Us27 through the ones at championsgate and I'm sticking with elite nails! They absolutely take their time with you even if they are busy which is pretty great because you receive quality work all the time so I never mind waiting if I have to. I was there a week ago for a mani/pedi. My pedicure was great, manicure not so much. I was convinced to spend the extra money on the dip/powder polish instead of the gel which I usually get. Worst mistake! The next day three of my nails looked like shattered glass. I went back and the same guy redid the three nails. Stopped into Elite Nails on Sunday because my regular place is closed on Sunday's & my nails were a wreck. I meant to go to my normal spot last week but after being sick, I was finally better Sunday and in need of a new gel mani. Got there and signed in. Waited about 10 minutes (they were pretty busy) before going to a station. The girl who did my nails was very nice. She was friendly and wasn't rough removing my old gels. I picked my colors (they have a BUNCH of options! Like a whole lot), settling on black & pink. She nicked one of my fingers pretty bad, and I've had to clean it out each night since to avoid infection. It hurt a bit. She did a mostly good job. The tips of my nails kind of look like I've had the mani for a week, as it looks like she didn't quite hit the end of my nail. I don't quite know how to better describe it. Between nicking me bad enough for it to hurt 2 days later & the sloppy way the tips of my nails look, I'm just meh about her. Included in the mani price is a 60 second neck/shoulder rub. Which was nice but it was very short & rushed. After that, I realized how badly I need a longer one. The shop is clean. Up front they have manicure stations, then a dividing wall and behind that are the pedicure stations. I didn't go that far back. Prices are a little higher than my normal place, especially since the quality is not as good by any means. Friendly service, no refreshments offered, substandard service=solid 3 stars. read more

I lived in Davenport for 5 years and went to this nail spa at least a dozen times. I always had a good experience. So when I was passing through to meet a friend we decided to do pedicures together. I did the spa pedicure and regular manicure with Rose. Rose did a great job and even remembered me from when I lived in the area over 3 years ago. I enjoyed all of the pampering especially the shoulder rub during my manicure time. Don't listen to the bad reviews! Love this place! read more

After being in the chair for another 30+ minutes with our feet now in plain, cold water (no one bothered to at least pour in the blue stuff), we decided to slide our wee feet back into our shoes and get out of there. The last time we were there, a very grumpy older lady screamed at the young man who was providing her pedicure service about how "she just isn't happy" because he "could not get her ingrown toenail without hurting her!" As someone who struggles with ingrown toenails, I know that it is because you are not having them taken care of professionally. If you do, they do NOT hurt being treated. I tipped the PROFESSIONAL $10 even though he did not service myself, or my family. He was beyond grateful. This place was recommended to me by my hair stylist. I went there for a manicure and pedicure and the service itself was nice enough. The lady doing my nails seemed to have an attitude with me at times but I tried to pass it off as a possible language barrier issue. The reason I am only giving it one star was how I was treated after the service. The lady got the oils and lotions on my brand new pair of capris and therefore, stained them. When I came back to discuss it with them, they claimed they couldn't see a stain anywhere. Unfortunately for me, the stain shows up better in certain lighting than others, but if you looked hard enough you could clearly see a difference in color at the "knee" of the pants vs everywhere else. It wasn't until I threatened that I was going to ask my stylist to no longer refer clients to them that they changed their tune. They gave me the money to replace my pants. Even this was an issue as the employees started pleading with the manager in Vietnamese to not pay me (perception based on their body language and voice tones). I finally asked them to not talk about me in a language which I could not understand as that is rude and asked if they would please speak in English in front of me. They completely ignored my request. The manager gave me the money and I left. I warned my hair stylist about them and I now wash my hands of this place. read more

My boyfriend and I love coming to Elite for their deluxe pedicures. They include a paraffin wax for your feet that leaves them feeling like silk. They give incredible foot massages as part of their deluxe pedicure package, which is the reason I can always talk my boyfriend into going. They cut my cuticles and kept going shorter and shorter until i was bleeding. Surprise I have hemophilia and don't stop bleeding right away. The woman continues painting after digging a soaked cotton ball into my wound. Continuing this adventure was the nail art I thought was a good idea. There's no examples to see so I pull up Pinterest and find just a generic 'firework' of color with Halloween colors(spiderweb was too hard). Y'all... three tries later we got ALL the colors I asked, a design that took up the entire nail and I sorta stop bleeding. Deep breath, stand up and sit under a fan to let them dry. I get the thumbs up they're good. And head to the car barefoot. I put my shoes on to get out and pump gas, drive home barefoot and wtf do I find in my shoe? THEYRE RUINED! This is a great local nail salon. I've been to others in the area and I like this one specifically for the cleanliness which seems to be lacking in the other places. The staff is friendly and they'll spend more time speaking to the customer than each other. I also think the prices are decent. I've come here to get acrylics in the past and I thought they did a good job, some techs have a harder time doing designs than others. Also the shoulder massages are a bonus. Most recently I've been coming here for pedicures. For $41 you can get a deluxe treatment with massages, hot towels, paraffin treatments and polish. The whole thing takes a little over an hour. I recommend making an appointment because they are always busy. read more
