From the driving range, chipping area, which included well kept bunkers, and the putting green, it was incredible. Some of the nicer practice facilities I've seen. As for the course itself, it was in really good shape. Not gonna lie, not knowing the course, it chewed me up pretty good. People who knew the course definitely had the advantage that day. There are a ton of elevation changes, elevated tees, and the greens were quick. It took me a while, but I finally started rolling putts much better on the back nine. I would love to blame the course for my high score that day, but I know better. Lol. In full transparency, at times a few holes felt gimmicky, but I think that just comes down to my own personal preference. It's an expensive golf course but you are getting a quality golf experience when playing at Journey. The GPS on our cart did not work for the front nine which was a bummer, but when we made the turn, they happily traded carts for us and got us up and running. It was SO early, and it really was good I had a jacket before we got into the balloon because it was chilly, but it is warm up in the air and in the balloon! Watching the set up and tear down ended up feeling like a part of the experience. The ride itself was amazing. It was unreal and so pretty!!! Our pilot had so much fun knowledge of the area and kept everyone engaged and entertained. At the end, they provided a champagne toast and certificates which was such a nice touch. While my child has been training at Artemis for a little over a month now, we were basically sold by the end of the first trial day. Artemis is well-run, clean, offers a multitude of class offerings and times and is well connected to our local homeschool charter programs and community. We love that students receive hands-on guidance and training of a boutique gym while being much more accessible. Coach Dexter is absolutely wonderful with the students, offering valuable and constructive feedback, encouragement and positive motivation. Students are taught the importance of principles such as self-discipline, respect, teamwork, tenacity and so much more. It is very evident that the students collectively exhibit amazing skills through practice and training but perhaps more importantly, they all seem to truly love and enjoy their time in class and cannot wait to return. We feel so blessed to have found Artemis as it is truly such a gem and valuable asset to our community.
