We love coming to Journey's! Beautiful views and ambiance. Service and staff are nice and attentive. Food is good and filling. We had the chilaquiles, corn beef hash, 2 eggs meal and French toast. Everything was delicious. We will be back!

Promptly greeted upon arrival and told 'just grab any cart'. Cart included two towels, full ice-chest with water and ice, GPS and Bluetooth stereo sound for your phone. Practice facility included with fee, and it's the best I've seen. Driving area, pitching, putting and multiple areas to do that pitch practice. Well done. Course is in great shape. While fairways are open in some areas, don't be fooled, there are bunkers, creeks, rivers, lakes and more to challenge even the best players. Greens were wicked fast on some, and also unforgiving. Bring your patience and watch those lies. Lots of elevation, be sure to bring dry shoes for early morning gold. Dew point leaves moisture everywhere, something I didn't consider. I wore athletic golf shoes, got some wet socks. Ice stations and restrooms throughout, good to have. Refreshments at the turn get you moving through quickly. Be sure to take two minutes to enjoy the spectacular views, scenery and ambiance. Take some pics, so you'll have plenty of great memories. Hit em straight, hit em well, and have a great time.

Epic views, epic course, epic service. If you're going to play a $200 course you want to feel like a VIP. Journey does this in spades. (Casino pun). From the moment you drive into the parking lot, someone is there to grab your clubs and greet you. The clubhouse is clean and loaded with top notch gear. The restaurant makes a great breakfast too. The carts are top of the line. The practice facilities are extensive and in perfect condition. They have tees, towels, water, divot replacers - all available for you to grab as needed. They also bring water and ice around on super hot days. The course is beautiful. I did not see one piece of ground under repair. The greens were soft, but rolled true. Some people whine about it being a gimmicky, resort course - those people are snobs. This is a fun, challenging course. It has scenic vistas, elevation, flat holes, long holes and everything in between. Worth every penny. Hit 'em on the fairway for your best chance to score.

So I've been slackin' for a while and it's time I got to writing again. First and foremost, this course is pretty epic. Spectacular vista's abound throughout the course and it has been in nothing short of pristine condition each time I've played. There are a couple of holes that are, shall I say, "challenging" and / or "intimidating", to say the least. For a hacker like me, it's also a bit of a ball eater, as some rough and rugged areas of the aforementioned holes seem to just suck golf balls into their vortex. That said, the greens are typically fast, the fairways immaculate and regardless of what you think you are reading on those greens, everything runs away from the mountains. I've played here twice and my sorry arse has not broke 100 on here yet. But... I don't give up easily, lol. Some of the tee boxes can be tricky to find and the course is pretty freaking long to boot. All of the staff here are courteous and extremely helpful, the golf carts are of the "Rolls Royce" variety and their seats remind me of, (I'm dating myself here), "fine Corinthian leather". When you are on the green on the 18th and finishing up your round, the girls from the course greet you and clean your clubs for ya!!! (Try explaining that one to the wifey, lol). "Oh honey, the girls on the course scrubbed my clubs, putter and balls"... Yeah right. Can hardly wait to go back, but this next time, I think I'll try to avoid the 100 degree temps and enjoy my round even more, as impossible as that may seem.

We came on a Tuesday for a 9:20 AM tee time and the course was busy already. However, we teed off right on time and, because it was our first time, probably played a slower round but still finished under 4 and half hours with no one in front of us. If you are new, it is helpful to have at least seen the course map to get a general idea of where to go as this is a course with three different 9s. We played creek and Stonehouse and they were both solid. The course was in nice condition and it seem like someone pissed off the superintendent of the course because the greens were fast and it seemed like every hole was on a slope With a cart, the round was roughly a hundred bucks a person which, seems to match the going rate these days to play a round of golf. This was with a seperate cart fee so that's something to be mindful about. This is a course I have passed by on the 15 for years and I'm glad I had a chance to play it. Definitely worth checking out at least once.

The worker in the pro shop and starter were both real friendly & the starter was giving us a bunch of tips on the course layout since it was our first time. I was told I needed to wear a collared shirt just to hit balls at the driving range--something I've never encountered at any range. This is not a Country Club nor was I playing a round on the actual course. There was also no place outside to set golf clubs, so I brought mine inside, only to be scolded by an employee in a way that was rude and completely unnecessary. It was embarrassing and unprofessional. The tone and treatment I received were disrespectful from the start. I left feeling singled out and uncomfortable, and I can't ignore the possibility that I was being unfairly profiled. To make matters worse, the facility itself is run down and poorly maintained, which makes the strict attitude toward customers even more ridiculous. I work for a prominent golf brand and have spent a lot of time at courses and ranges--this was easily one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I have been in the golf industry for 25 years. I will absolutely be sharing this experience with others. Avoid this place if you expect even basic respect as a customer. TCI will continue to get my business as well as all of my golf connections.

I brought my 4-year-old son with me to the course, planning for him to simply ride along and enjoy being outside while watching me play. To my surprise, I was told I would have to pay a spectator fee for him. Charging a fee for a four-year-old who isn't playing golf and is just spending time outdoors with a parent seems unreasonable. When I politely asked to speak with a manager, the front desk employee told me there wasn't one available. After I questioned the policy further, the General Manager, Dave Garner, suddenly appeared. That made it feel like I had been misled from the start. Unfortunately, my interaction with Dave Garner only made the situation worse. Rather than showing any understanding or attempting to find a reasonable solution, he simply repeated that the policy was the policy and claimed he had no discretion to make an exception. As the General Manager, I would expect at least some level of customer service, empathy, or willingness to work with a loyal customer. This wasn't just about the spectator fee--it was about the poor customer service, being told something that wasn't true, and the complete lack of flexibility or concern for the customer experience. It's disappointing that a golf course would rather turn away a family over a spectator fee for a preschooler than create a welcoming environment. There are plenty of golf courses that understand the value of introducing young children to the game and making families feel welcome. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of them.

Fair enough even though I didn't mention the price. I know from my past visits and online juniors are $10 off on the weekends though. I don't mention that. He says, "But I'm feeling generous today so I'll take $10 off." Okay so the cost it should be, not generosity. He doesn't give me a receipt. I check my bank account just to see what he charged. He charged me $58. The full price for 2 adults. It should have been $48 for my daughter and I at $29 for an adult and a junior at $10 less. But $58 to play The Colony, essentially an abandoned golf course that isn't maintained whatsoever to begin with. And then to have the workers be condescending and charge more than cost. That's theft and even worse that he tried to act like he was being generous. The other workers I've dealt with there have been cool and I dealt with the horrible conditions of the course cuz it's cheap and close. But I'll never go again after this. The cost to play is already a rip off, but to be overcharged on top of that is insane.
