I ordered Aug 4,2024. It is Aug 18 as I'm writing this and my order hasn't arrived. I asked assistance from their chat support and I ended up wasting my time and got nothing. So awful, I got a pair of sneakers that were not on sale. I opened the box and there was sock lint and hair inside the shoe, sole dirty. Why should I have to deal w the hassle of returning them via fedex? Fedex ground will not come to pick it up and I live very far from fedex. I went to the Carlsbad mall (store #509) last night (05/13) with less than an hour to shop. I was hoping to find some shoes for a date. I felt bummed at first that the shoe I wanted, they didn't have my size. I was going to take a loss there and leave when Avery kindly suggested a different shoe for me. She heard me mention what I planned to wear for my date! Not only did I end up buying this super cute babydoll pair of shoes, but Melia suggested some really cute socks to go with them! My outfit is fire now! This is what good customer care and sales is people! Whoever is doing the hiring at Journeys, great job hiring these two young ladies! I went to get sneakers for my son I told the employee my son was very picky, also told him he wore a size 8 . they did not have his size in the shoes we wanted , (color ) so we ordered then and we shipped to the house the employee insisted that my son took a 7 1/2 and that they would be fine. I took his advice as he sells shoes.... right.... My son got them they were tight, he wore them around slightly , I drove back to the store to the same employee who now was not excited to see us , ( let me mention that when he checked us out they were not what they were marked either they were way more in $$$ , anyways , he would not take them back or exchange them he told me to sell them on face book market place!!!! as they were used. and that was that we left the store ....and I purchased shoes at another store as my son needed shoes!!!! forward to now 2 months later I have been in contact with Journeys customer service 5 -6 times managers etc. I am still waiting for my refund they said they would issue me as I shipped back the shoes 2 months ago!!!!! today I now am being made to drive back to the store and get my money back from the same employee that I bought the shoes from!!! this company has the worst customer service I have ever seen . 2 months and 2 checks they never sent , and the purpose of me not going into he store is that the employee is not kind!!!! Was told by an employee at the Yakima, WA store "good news, the shoe you want is in stock and I can order it for you no problem" only to check the shipping status a few days later and see that my order was canceled because the item is not in stock. However - they still charged me! Talking to customer service through chat, I was told to call the customer service number to request a refund. Excuse me? Request a refund? You charge me for an item not in stock and I have to REQUEST a refund? So I called - they will MAIL ME A CHECK? BS!! I am out $120 until I receive a check sometime in the next 2 weeks. Absolutely ridiculous. And to top it off - the guy at the store entered my address wrong. I corrected him but he only changed shipping address, not billing address. I used to love you guys but you really jacked up my order for my nieces birthday. I ordered 2 pairs of Vans for her birthday in October. I went to countless of other shoe stores before heading to journeys and to be honest I was ready to be disappointed by rude retail workers... Once I walked in they immediately greeted us and they were actually very nice and helpful! I have been looking for the perfect shoes to wear to theme parks... Since I have sensitive skin and feet and am an altogether hot mess, the guy who attended me helped me find a cushiony shoe that was similar to what I was looking for.. He immediately brought out many to compare to. I'm cursed with small feet so he adhered and helped me out tremendously! He noticed I was quite reserved and shy and he helped me by not being pushy but being knowledgeable, which I liked! In a time where online shopping giants are reigning supreme I have no clue how Journeys remains open. They lack the customer service that creates repeat in store shoppers. I have only made two purchases from Journeys and both were horrible experiences. The first instance occurred about two years ago, I went in to get a pair of the plain High-top Converse. The girl working was so focused on phone that she did not even notice me walk into the store. I have been wearing Converse for years and 11 has always been my size. Well I made the mistake of assuming that when I asked for an 11 she would bring me an 11 and I would not need to try them on. I purchased the shoes and the girl informed me that she had placed the receipt "in the bag." At this point I thought it was not great customer service but I got what I went in for so it did not bother me. However while stopped at a stoplight on the way home I noticed that the shoes were actually a size 9. I turned around and went back to the mall, but when I got there I realized that the receipt was not actually inside the bag. When I went back into the store the same girl was working and I explained to her that the receipt was not in the bag but the shoes were not the right size. She told me, "without a receipt we can't do an exchange." The shoes had never even been touched and I purchased them no more than 40 minutes before I went back. At this point I was furious but luckily the kid working at the Converse Store in the outlet mall was understanding and allowed me to exchange the shoes there despite the fact I bought them from another retailer. After that I vowed to never shop at Journeys again. Well today I desperately needed a pair of Vans for a corporate event with my company. I'm a notorious procrastinator and waited until the day before the event to buy the shoes. Unfortunately for me the Vans Store did not have my size and my schedule was to tight to make it to the Escondido store. I knew that Journeys carried the shoes I needed and thus I stopped there. You can easily tell they are commission, I told the guy exactly what I needed and why, he continued to force products down my throat. Worst of all when I paid he reached across the register, pressed "yes send email receipt" and then proceeded to ask me my email. This happened to me on the 27 Nov 2015, my wife bought a pair of the 1460 Doc Martens, I realized they were not leather (Store #371). As soon as I made it home from work that day, I told her these were not leather boots. We promptly took them back to exchange for a pair of leather boots. Empl# 420647, tried to convince me the Vegan Leather was real leather. I just told him to order me a pair of 1460 Cherry Doc Martens Leather. The return at this point seemed smooth but to my surprise on 10 Jan 2016, the day our family could gather and celebrate Christmas, we discovered the boots that had been ordered by the clerk were the completely wrong boots (R15265601). We followed the return instructions. Returned the incorrect product to Journeys Inc. The RETURN instructions were followed. The boots were sent via UPS Ground (Track#1Z V52 2E3 06 2605 1968) on 11 Jan 2016. The instructions said the product could not be returned to the store and I would receive a credit to my card once received and processesed. RYAN at the Dock in Lebanon, TN received the boots on 15 Jan 2015 @ 1059. I was NEVER credited by Journeys Inc. $169.99....Still waiting patiently for my refund. On 12 Feb 2016, I called customer service on there packing list 1-888-324-6536. Tragically laughable, Journeys Inc prints they incorrect phone number on their packing lists (Picture Posted) I hunted down the CORRECT number somewhere in the internet. So happy with my experience here at this particular Journeys. My bf had bought me the wrong pair of Dr. Martens and I went to exchange them. Problem was they didn't have my size and were back ordered until November 11th so I couldn't even put an order in online. I was ready to get the money on a gift card and just wait it out when Larry offered to call other stores in the San Diego area, mind you I had already called a few stores in North County and stores aside from Journeys myself and had no luck. His second phone call ended up being a success and he told me it would be 3 days for the shoe to arrive from Fashion Valley. I haven't come across to many associates like this. Larry really stood out to me as someone who cares and makes it a priority to give exceptional customer service. He went above beyond to ensure I would get the best results out of this particular situation. Make sure you order a pair of shoes that you are sure you want and know the exact size that you need. Receiving a refund takes up to 6 weeks after the return was processed on their end, which I never received even after 6 weeks. The exchange takes up to 6 weeks as well after they receive the returned shoes, and I am hoping I will receive my exchange and not get the faith in them crushed again. read more

SHOES, who doesn't love shoes? Journeys always has a nice selection of shoes. The customer service at this particular location isn't always great, but then again, it's just shoes. They usually have a good size run and if they don't have your size they don't hesitate offering to order them and send them directly to your house. Thats pretty cool. I love my cute flats and they always have a decent selection of flats to choose from. Their clearance prices are usually a good bargain as well.
