The coil wasn't dirty; the system was contaminated and improperly sealed. I'd encourage anyone to get a second opinion before authorizing an expensive "cleaning," and to insist the technician show you what they're diagnosing. This system has only ever been worked on by Advantage Air. The system is basically new; it's eight years old. I purchased this home three years ago.

He gave me options to fix it and also noted that my unit had to be around 20 years old and that it should be about time to replace it. He wasn't pushy and gave me the pros and cons to both options. He said to just let him know and he would take care of it. I ran it by ChatGPT and found the old paperwork and it was indeed 18 years old. ChatGPT recommended everything he did but his quote was more than fair. Adam took care of everything. From permits to selecting units. He knew the pros and cons of each one. Guy is an encyclopedia.
