3.5 Stars This review is for the nightlife! We came on a Saturday night to check out the DJ set. They have lot of EDM artists come through, so be sure to check out their website for tickets. Saturday was a pretty chill night and we got in around 12p with a short line and no cover. There wasn't a dress code. The indoor space has a vintage wood saloon feel, and the outdoor patio is spacious with tons of seating in the back and nice DJ set and dance floor. It wasn't super busy the night we went, but we had a nice time. Tequila Soda was fine -- strong, but not enough to mess you up. Women's bathroom was terrible; only 1/3 toilet was working, but hopefully that's a rare occurrence. Overall, we had fun and I recommend looking at their Instagram to see who's performing the night you go. read more

Came to Elixir with my cousins for an EDM show. The vibes were great! The outside stage and bar were perfect for a beautiful January night. The inside wasn't crowded at all which was good if you want some room to relax without loud music. My only complained was the men's bathroom, it was dirty and messy. Hopefully they fix it. Steak Caesar salad was good and we enjoyed the music! I also enjoy how you can make the perfect ratio of mimosas with different kinds of juices. However the service was a bit slow (had to ration the water lol) and it was not transparent that our bills had an auto gratuity/surcharge. I never have an issue with auto grat unless it is not disclosed somewhere on the menu or to me by the server. Today I went to Elixir for lunch with two friends. I ordered the Chimichurri chicken sandwich. I asked the waitress for clarification on the menu since the sandwich said it came with a side salad and all sandwiches come with fries. She went to ask for clarification and said that was correct. When she brought out my check she charged me for a side salad although the menu said my meal comes with one. When I asked her for clarification again she said that the salad is separate because I got fries. Doesn't make sense at all. The sandwich was average and not worth the $24 I paid for the meal. On the Corner of Washington and Orange downtown there you will find a local bar that might look a little "sketchy" from the outside but if you dare to go inside, you will find a great place to eat. Came on a Friday for lunch. It's a bar with a bar menu. The courtyard is gorgeous, inside has exposed brick and dark decor with a rustic chic ambiance. Waitresses are pleasant and accommodating friendly and greeted us on entry. Unfortunately, they have a full bar with no happy hour specials and I found my drink to be lacking actual alcohol. I ordered the chicken strips, others in the party had the patty melt and the blackened Mahi sandwich. All were amazing! Like you wouldn't expect bar food to taste so good! The fries were perfection! Truly! We couldn't stop eating them. Everything was hot and served fresh, and didn't take very long to come out. Kudos to the chefs back there. It's worth noting, they do have brunch on Sundays and we will be back to try. I watched the Wilder vs Fury fight here on Saturday night. I have nothing but high praise across the board for Elixir and the staff. I got there early and secured a place at the bar. Let me backtrack. Even at the door, I was greeted cheerfully and given the rundown of what to expect on fight night. No cover charge. They could easily have charged a few dollars, but opted to make it free. There is plenty of parking in the area within short walking distance. The service was excellent. Even after the place filled up as the night progressed, there was no falloff in the quality and promptness of service. I ordered a chicken and tomato appetizer which was plentiful and delicious! The guys at work picked this location. It was a small spot in the corner of Washington in Downtown Orlando. Went in and there were several folks at the bar while the quiet of the bar barely had a happy environment. Stood by a large table inside for at least 7 minutes before anyone bothered to come by even after I made eye contact with some of the bartenders. Oh okay. Finally one came over and asked whether I was waiting for folks - which I confirmed - and then she inquired whether I wanted to sit outside while I waited. I chose to wait inside and luckily, two from our party made it in. We chose a large table for 8 outside. Apparently some event was happening either that evening or the next day because there was some hardcore hammering stage like metal encasement in the area where the seats outside where. They were going at it for about 30 minutes. The wooden tables seemed to be damp and felt odd to touch but the seats were all dry so at least there was that. I got an Angry Orchard while the folks ordered wings (I tasted a single one which was decent) while others got a hamburger and other appetizer like meals. They all stated the food was very much bar food with no complaints. We spent a good two plus hours before we went elsewhere. Even though Florida has established the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Elixir is currently breaking the law by denying my service animal access to their restaurant as stated in Title IV of the ADA. After driving a long way to the establishment we were immediately denied by an African American male bouncer and a blonde ish white woman at the door who just looked at me and kept shaking their heads. I stated she was my service animal and they denied even looking at her forms or anything remotely helping us. If you don't want to be discriminated against or have a disability or need any sort of accommodations steer clear of this establishment at all costs. Hopefully my complaint to the USDOJ helps anyone else that tries to go there after me xx read more

I had never heard of this restaurant till a colleague suggested it. It's a little hidden but both the outside and inside are cute. The menu is smal but has range of options. However, don't even think of modifying anything, the answer is probably no. I was in the mood for tacos. They had both steak and shrimp, both priced the same. I asked for 1 shrimp taco and 2 steak. I was told they couldn't mix, It could only be one. Then I asked for corn tortillas and I was told they only come with flour. I dont understand why we couldn't mix up the tacos, especially if they were the same price, even if it was a couple extra bucks, I wouldnt have minded. But not having corn tortillas was a real bummer. I will say that the tacos were very good, but I'm sensitive to wheat so an hour after eating I felt pretty miserable. I have been to elixir a time or two for drinks but I've been several times for brunch and really enjoyed it. They updated their menu and their food is pretty good! Last time i went i got the omelette and it was excellent, yesterday when i went i got the breakfast burrito and not only was it massive, it was delicious too! It came with crispy fries and was so much food! They offer unlimited mimosas for $13 and have a few different juices available too. We were a group of 20+ and service was great. Let me address that a little more, my friend group is large and we've done brunch at Elixir several times with a group of 20 or more. They have ALWAYS been accommodating and never tried to ask for a card to hold the reservation. I highly appreciate that because most downtown brunch places want you to spend a certain amount of money (average check yesterday was $20-$25x22 people= approx $500 tab) or put a card down in case your entire party doesn't show. Anyway, our food came out in a timely manner and our two servers were friendly and attentive. They have a beautiful outdoor patio and a dj during brunch. Most of the brunch entrees were around $12-15 which is totally reasonable IMO especially because of the portion sizes. And to just make the payment when you come in (Not giving me a total). When I got there my total bill was $60 for lunch, if the menu online was correct the bill would've been $42. I wasn't aware of the price because I didn't have a total... And the menu online was Drastically different than the menu in the bar/restaurant.
