Thoroughly DISAPPOINTED!! If I'm spending $130 (not including the tip), I should feel completely pampered and my eyebrows should come out exact & PERFECT........E V E R Y time! Every visit always felt tense and rushed. Eliza is always multi-tasking while not focusing on the person that sitting in her chair. She's constantly yelling at the receptionist, leaving you in the chair to walk around and scold people thru out the office; then she returns to you and you feel her STRESS !! She never fully pays attention to the paying client. btw - you're in her chair for approximately FIVE MINUTES and you pay over 100 dollars people!! You can't work on clients, pamper them, give them 100% while you're trying to manage, train your staff and run your own business. It's a great disservice! Huge let down when I'm WILLING to pay this amount of money. I'm so regretful when I get home and see my eyebrow arches and lengths are not nearly identical! I went 3-4 times, I never left satisfied; my eyebrows were always shaped differently. She was never precise. NEVER - they were always shaped differently!! Eliza is an eyebrow genius. In one visit my eyebrows look better than they have in years. She looked at my brows and gave me an honest assessment, explaining to me what had been done incorrectly to my eyebrows and what to do to correct it. I really feel like she gave me back the eyebrows I used to have. I looked in the mirror today after my visit and was so pleased with how my brows look. Going forward, I am not going to let anyone touch them other than Eliza. In addition to this, she and her staff are all lovely and professional. And her spa is beautiful. I wanted to take credit for posting this... i posted it in error from someone else's yelp! BEYOND AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I waited 3 months to have my eyebrows done after going the threading route and loosing half an eyebrow. After meeting Robert and knowing his mothers fantastic reputation I felt confident that he would do an amazing job. It takes someone who is extremely creative, patient and talented. From the minute I sat in the chair I new Robert was all of the above. Quietly and gently he took care of each individual hair follicle reshaping my brows like a sculpture. I came to Eliza's Eyes using a voucher I purchased on Gilt. I will say that I am completely happy with my eyebrows and they turned out incredible. I am still deciding if I will return and here is why. First, making an appointment was difficult. I called numerous times on different days on different times only to have the machine pick up. I don't like leaving messages. If I am calling during regular business hours I expect someone to pick up. I already deal with enough phone tag playing with my family and friends and the last I want is to add an eyebrow specialist to that list. After about a week of calling I finally got a hold of someone and made my appointment. The person who handled me was extremely friendly and very gracious. Second, when making my appointment I told the individual that I had a Gilt voucher. At the time when I purchased the voucher there were 2 options, $48 for eyebrow shaping with a junior associate or $68 for eyebrow shaping with a senior associate. I wasn't asked which voucher I had purchased. Turns out that my eyebrow specialist was Robert and he is super top notch and definitely not a junior associate. I am not sure if by senior associate they meant Eliza herself. I would have been pissed if I purchased the $68 voucher because really there was no difference. Third, when I entered the studio I had to use the bathroom immediately. Now this is where I was completely turned of. If anyone is going into a place that charges a high price for a service than everything about that experience should be beyond exceptional. The bathroom disgusted me. There was no toilet paper on the hanger (there was a roll on the sink), the garbage was overflowing, the toilet seat was dirty and I took the last hand towel in the bin on the wall. I mean was in shock that such a place would like this. That alone made me question whether or not I would go back. Fourth, in the waiting area was a woman dressed in all black reading a magazine. I think she may have worked there. Anyway I found it very unprofessional that someone working there would be just lounging around, especially with the bathroom in such disarray. Not something you would expect from a place offering a high priced service. Lastly, while waiting the receptionist took a phone call and after hanging up started talking to the other receptionist about the person on the phone. I couldn't hear exactly what they were saying but in any case that is something that should not be done especially in front of a waiting customer. Again very unprofessional. So, this is where I feel torn. I loved the people who helped me (the receptionist who took my appointment and Robert) and they both made me feel extremely comfortable. However it's the little things that speak volumes to me and when paying for something so high price everything needs to be on point. Do I go back or not? I am still deciding. read more

I look like a red Angry Bird. Without asking which shape I liked or telling what would have suited me better, the senior E-ssociate went ahead and made my eyebrows into two very straight, very thick bands. Exactly as shown in the bad examples on their website, I look frown, and my features look a lot heavier. Tomorrow I will have to tweeze my brows back to a nice, feminine shape. And I paid a lot of money to avoid it. I am very disappointed. Treatments that cost all this money should not need DIY fixing. read more

I got a voucher through Guilt and I was very happy with the experience. The voucher wasn't really much cheaper than the full price with Robert ($80 for wax and tweezers), but I am glad that I experienced their service. Robert is an artist! He is very nice and has excellent taste to make things beautiful and natural! My whole experience was excellent from calling and getting advice from Eliza herself, to scheduling the appointment, and the session with Robert. I just won't give a fifth star because it is too expensive to think about going back. I wish! read more

I had Alex, and he was great! I have very wiry eyebrows and he knew exactly what to do with them, and I came out of there with my eyebrows looking as perfect as they possibly could. I have been looking for a good person to do my eyebrows for nearly 2 years, and I finally found one. It was so good, I am even taking my mom there next Saturday to get hers done. I have purchased a voucher from GILT CITY for $50 for brow shaping with an e-associate. Upon my arrival at the salon, I was notified that the person who was supposed to do my brows got sick and that I am lucky to have Eliza ( the owner) do my eyebrows. I normally go to Sania's Brow Bar (5++++) and only do tweezing, since my skin gets irritated after waxing and I get pimples after. So, I have told Eliza to do tweezing only upon which she stated that she only does wax and has been in the business for 20+ years and thinks that waxing achieves the best possible shape. So i gave in!!! Never again!!!! Of course my skin around my eyebrows is pimply !!! The shape is OK, but i still feel like she took too much out@@@ would never go back oh and once i was about to walk out the receptionist told me that i can leave tip if I would like- i felt pressured and left $10 tip even though she is the owner and they are not supposed to be tipped. All in all her regular price is $130- don't know what for cuz wax literally took 5 min for her to do. read more

I love Eliza and thanks to her I love my brows!!! Been getting my eyebrows waxed and shaped by her for almost 3 years and will never go anywhere else. She's honestly an artist and I have never left her place not satisfied! She moved from Exhale Spa across street to 30 e76 on the 5th floor. Her place is always clean, which is most important, and it smells wonderful, the decor is peaceful and calm. The staff is a pleasure, especially Natasha, she's so accommodating and caring...love Eliza's Eyes, she works wonders!!! My sister also went to a wax lady on her staff for bikini and legs and she said it was quick and pain free. read more

I was very excited to visit Eliza's Eyes and even drove a distance to see her. The location was nice and neat. However, Eliza literally yelled at me and has a one track mind, only she is right. I was disappointed in the final look, price and service. I am laid back and can go with the flow but who does she think she is! I wish I had gone to frederic fekkai !! Eliza is THE eyebrow lady you want to get your eyebrows done with! I have always done my eyebrows on my own - I love my thick and full eyebrows and could never trust anyone to keep them that way. After a very dear friend of mine recommended me to come here, I decided to give her a try. Totally worth it! My eyebrows are still thick and full but now they have a GREAT shape that actually fits my face :) She even took the time to explain to me what my eyebrows needed in regards to my facial structures. So, after reading about this definitive "eyebrow guru" in recent magazines, I decided to give Eliza a try, after all, I wanted to see the best of the best. I am very weary about people touching my eyebrows due to several bad encounters. I had been growing out my brows for over a year, and now, will be waiting another year to grow them out after my recent terrible experience with Eliza. For the $128 service, you expect to be pampered, but all Eliza seems to worry about is yelling at her associates/employees. With less then about a whole 5 minutes spent on my brows, she managed to wax them off, they are now very thin, and I am less than thrilled about the how they look. Due to me over plucking my brows when I was young, it's not like they just grow back. Ladies & gents, save your money and avoid this place, you will just end up with over plucked brows! I will now be in process of trying to find an eyebrow re-growth product. read more
