I filled out the form online and was quoted a reasonable price, I've been looking for a while now to get my Camry's windshield replaced so kind of had a feeling as to how much it would cost. Extremely poor customer service! Very rude and unprofessional!! I would not recommend them to anyone! I requested a quote unsure if I needed a replacement or repair. Told I needed it replaced. Fine I wanted a quote for that and was asked for my VIN number. I questioned why that was needed since I had already provided with make, model, and year of my vehicle. Was told it was needed for parts again I questioned why that was needed since I had given my year, make and model. (I thought that would be sufficient and don't want to give any personal information out it I don't have to , but I was walking to my car to get the VIN.) I was then rudely told to call the Mercedes Benz dealership and see what they said. If the person I was speaking to had of provided me with a decent response I would have used them since I needed the windshield replaced quickly. Thankfully I have gotten my windshield replaced elsewhere and received an honest quote. I would NEVER use this business because customer service, honesty, and quality matter! read more

I've had too use them at least twice for windshield replacement. These guys are so helpful and fast. When I called they originally said Monday but then called back and said they were able to fit me in because the tech went back to the shop to get the glass for my jeep. I called to inquire about getting my windshield replaced and the person who returned my call was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked if he offered any discount as I would be using my insurance. Instead of simply saying "no", he began to shout that it is a crime and against the law to do that. He said "if you do that you will be charged with a felony". First off, every single windshield company will offer SOME discount when using insurance. If they don't, they probably don't even take insurance at all. I am not writing this review because of the discount denial, but because of this guy's unprofessional demeanor, irrationality, and lack of business respect. I just expected a "no" or "let me see what I can do" response; not a lecture of how I am breaking the law or initiating a crime. Unfortunately, it appears this guy has verbally assaulted his customers in the past and has an apparent issue with conveying the simple word, no. Avoid this disrespectful business. read more

Totally disappointed with my interaction with the owner. I was searching for a windshield for a car with over 500k miles, so obviously when the quote was over $300 I said no thanks. This quote was $75 over the next highest quote. He continued to text me as to why his company was worth it and if I didn't go through him I was cheap. Really? Leave me alone guy. I don't need the top of the line windshield (if their is such a thing) on a 15 year old commuter car with a ton of miles. As a couple others have stated, his interaction with customers can be hostile. His repeated texts were unnecessary and unprofessional. I drive an old Honda Accord that had *one* functioning window - until this afternoon. After a frantic Google search seemed like it was going to be fruitless, I found Elk Grove Glass. They were fast, professional, super personable and very, very helpful. The price I was quoted on the phone was the price I was charged, which shouldn't be a bonus but in reality, it is. My car window got broken on Friday night after we had dinner and on Saturday morning I call many places they are either closed or busy. Luckily I try Elk Grove Glass and Joseph answer the phone, he was very nice and friendly. He gave me a quote and the price is reasonable and he can send his tech Jorge within an hour to replace my window. Someone decided to break into my car and smashed my front passenger window while I was working at 4 am. Around noon I was looking around and decided to call Elk Grove Glass. They were very pleasant and made sure the window I needed was available. I was able to get same day service at my house and they ALSO cleaned the broken glass from all over the inside ofy car. I'm impressed that he chose to give great service over making a sale! The other company came, wasn't able to repair the windshield so Joe apologized to his buddy for having him drive out to me for nothing and gave the new windshield sale to the other company. My wife borrowed my car to go out of town to a retreat. When she called to say she made it but on the way she took a rock from a Semi. When she got back I was going to call the big name guys but I decided to use a local guy because I work and live here in EG. I'm glad I did when I called he said he was in the area and could come by right away. He called when he arrived I met him out front of my business and took care of everything. As we were making our way back home to Elk Grove after a trip to the in-laws in Los Angeles, a semi truck kicked a rock up from the freeway straight into our windshield, and it was cracked straight across! Unsure of where to go for the repair, and not knowing when we would have the time to bring it in to a shop, a neighbor recommended we call Elk Grove Glass. They are a mobile repair service, so no need for myself or the husband to take time out of our work schedule in order to get it done! The technician was very personable, and replaced the windshield in no time at all, with top notch workmanship. The owner even personally called after the repair to make sure that the technician had taken care of us to our satisfaction. Incompetent, extremely unprofessional! Use safelite autoglass as they are truly a professional company. Joseph is very rude to his customers. As a matter of fact I have video of his installer taking my windshield and never bringing it back. When I confronted Joseph with a negative review he clearly stated that he would not install my windshield. So, ultimately his company vandalized my vehicle. After getting a fix it ticket, I was in a hurry to get my windshield replaced at a reasonable cost. I originally checked with Safelite to get an estimate on how much it would cost. Between the two options of either going to them or having a technician come to me it was going to cost me $415 for the work and the fee for the technician coming to me was $50. Elk Grove Glass was the first place I called, and Joseph couldn't be nicer and more helpful. He quoted me $220 cash or $230 with card, and the service always comes to you. The work was quick and looks amazing. And even after hassling them about changing my location during my scheduled window, they were totally cool with it and always helpful. No need to bother with these big name businesses, just stick with local and you'll save yourself a ton of money. read more
