Stayed here on 2 separate visits to the Winter Park area. This hotel is within walking distance of…read morefood and shopping, which is nice. The valet service is very helpful and friendly in each interaction. The beautiful entrance is welcoming when you walk in. It's clean and very spacious with lots of seating. The cafe/bakery to the left of the entrance is nice, with plenty of seating. Check-in was smooth. The room was spacious and clean. The refrigerator was overflowing with ice, which spilled out onto the floor when I opened it; some melted and refreezed. Not sure if it's a good idea to use the ice. So I just walked down to the ice machine and got ice. Housekeeping was on time daily but didn't clean much beyond fixing the bedding and replenishing towels. They didn't even touch certain parts of the room. The same piece of paper remained on the carpet throughout the visit. I know the hotel is affiliated with the college, so you are contributing to a good cause. Room service was a fail all 4 times I tried ordering on both visits, which sucks. When you call the desk, they don't seem to have an answer for why no one picks up. If you use dry cleaning, you have to ask for bags in case you use the laundry service again. If you've used the ones in the room, they don't automatically bring more. I waited until my 2nd visit to see if it would make a difference before writing my review, but it was pretty much the same. But for the area, the price was pretty reasonable. I had breakfast twice in the restaurant downstairs

This review is based on an event…read more Atmosphere: the event was in the first meeting room to the right of the lobby, and it is the perfect size for an up to 40-person dinner. The big windows in the back are a huge plus: watching the sunset light fade into the evening during the meal was a highlight. The whole hotel is gorgeous. The contemporary art everywhere gives it a high-end feel that's perfect for business events. Food: the charcuterie buffet was a hit. Everything was set up perfectly and tasted fresh, especially the cheeses (I loved the manchego, it was so soft) and the prosciutto. I was a little less impressed with the mains, though. The risotto felt a bit heavy on the cream and was a little too al dente to my taste. The ribeye was cut and cooked in a way that felt more like pork than steak. Everything else I tried, the asparagus, the salmon, and the salad, was pretty good though. Service: every staff member was super friendly and fast, especially the valet guy. I'm definitely planning to come back to check out Hamilton's Kitchen. The bar and dining area look very inviting and classy.

If you don't follow your GPS like it's the voice of God, you'll drive past this place at least 10 times wondering if you're being pranked. Once you finally find it, though, you're in for a surprise. The hotel is attached to a magnificent steakhouse and gives off this classy vineyard-patio vibe that makes you feel like you're about to attend a wine tasting, even if you're just there for work like I was. Walking up, there are beautiful outdoor tables with glass tops where guests can relax, eat, and pretend they're important. Then you walk into the lobby and BAM dark wood floors, elegant furniture, comfortable sofas, and enough atmosphere to make you wonder, Wait what did I accidentally book? I was honestly concerned I'd somehow clicked the wrong hotel and was about to max out my credit card. Nope. Surprisingly affordable. The room? Fantastic. You've got a Keurig machine ready to fuel your caffeine addiction, a nice big TV, all the amenities you need, and then there's THE BED. Listen, I don't know if it's a pillow-top, a cloud-top, a Sleep Number, a NASA mattress, or if angels personally fluff it every afternoon, but that thing is dangerous. I laid down for what felt like five minutes and woke up the next morning. I slept harder than a newborn after a bottle. Now let's talk about room service. They have this little stand where you order directly from the steakhouse downstairs. I ordered dinner, expecting hotel prices that require a small bank loan. The bill was $35. I nearly called the front desk to report a pricing error. Meanwhile, I was hungrier than a hostage, and they delivered a meal fit for royalty. For a brief moment, I genuinely felt like a VIP. The hotel also has a nice bar for those who enjoy a drink. I don't drink, but if I did, I probably would've celebrated finally finding the entrance. Bottom line: great atmosphere, beautiful property, comfortable rooms, amazing food, affordable prices, and a mattress that may have supernatural powers. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Would I still need GPS to find it? Also absolutely.

Very pleased about the ceiling fan in the room. Honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms we've experienced, even compared to more expensive stays. Very spacious room too. I was assigned an ADA accessible room - not needed just what I was assigned and that was fine. When I entered, I noticed there was no shower curtain, I thought maybe that it on purpose although it would make quite a mess with the overhead shower and was probably a slip hazard. I figured I would have to use the handheld shower head and ask the next morning. It was late so I did not want to bother the staff. Water still went everywhere but I had extra towels available. The next day I asked the front desk if accessible rooms were supposed to have shower curtains and she said yes, I said Ok well mine does not. She asked for the room number but I explained I do not like people in the room when I am not there and would be back in a couple of hours. She still asked for my room, and I said again I will give it when I get back. When I returned... my room would not open. I had to try 4 times before it finally opened. The lock would turn green but the door would not budge. This happened the rest of the stay as well. I called down, and housekeeping was on my floor, so she came very quickly. I was told that this room should have a curtain and the housekeeping manager is supposed to check every room not sure how this was missed. This was a HUGE slipping hazard, especially if I actually needed the accessible room. I let the front desk know when I left that this was really disappointing and on top of this the "refrigerator" in the room did not cool anything. I had some ice packs with me that helped me keep the water cool the first night but by the second night they were no longer cooling either. The Hampton Inn rooms are usually quite spacious with a long desk and spacious bathroom. This was not it. tiny desk in the corner. The area, is easily accessible, there are tons of restaurants minutes from Marketplace at Altamonte Springs and the Altamonte Springs mall. There is a Cracker Barrel and Waffle House just behind and across the street from the hotel. There are also other hotels to choose from... All in all, I would probably find a different Hampton Inn property or a different hotel brand next time.. Do better.
