Located in the Stonebreaker hotel, this delightful restaurant proved to be a real brunch treat. While the menu isn't extensive, they were 3 for 3 at our table with the pimento cheese and bacon sandwich on sourdough being the standout of the day. That said, the Greek yogurt bowl with fruit and muesli was also a hit, as was the simple Eggs Your Way breakfast. Having lived in the area most of our lives, we never knew this place was here. So, we made reservations. Ambiance was great. We asked our waitress to suggest wine pairings, which she did an excellent job. After a very good meal and experience, we were slightly let down by the dessert courses (dry choc cake, etc). I would say the food at this restaurant was pretty good as far as quality and presentation. Atmosphere of the restaurant was also pretty good and lively. However the wait time was a bit long and what frustrated me the most was the itemized receipt amount did not match the final receipt provided by the restaurant. When I inquired this from the waiter they let me know that this is due to fees associated with the credit card ? This was the first time I had heard of this as most restaurants accept credit cards as a method of payment and there is usually no extra fees associated with that. To me that was a dishonest behavior from this restaurant and for that reason despite their great food I will not recommend this restaurant. read more

A couple of months after opening, the Stonebreaker Restaurant already delivers excellent dishes and a high level of creativity and value to Fayetteville. This location is terrific for a semi-casual meal or a special occasion and is easily in the top tier of meals in Fayetteville. My rating is based on the top things I had: Scallop Ribolitta, and the Apple-Cider mocktail. My takeaways are that the food at Stonebreaker is of excellent value due to the quality of the ingredients, overall creativity, composition of the dishes, and unexpectedly large portion sizes. There were a few things that really were great and some other good elements that need some flavor or texture tweaks to really make them stars. The service was good and right where it needed to be. It was not quite at the fine dining level that you might expect, but it was approachable and met lall our needs. The ambiance was a little bland. It's a recently renovated location, so it looks and feels brand new but lacks charm or uniqueness. Small Plates: Kimchi Hot Water Cornbread: This was a three-component dish with a flat cornbread cake, apple butter, and ham. All three components need to work together in one bite. The apple butter was the most delicious component. The corn cakes had a strong texture, so this worked better as a handheld rather than using a fork. The kimchi element was so background or completely omitted component that it wasn't noticed, so there may be a different formulation for this evening. Sheep's Milk Pimento: This was the favorite small plate at our table. The bread was grilled toasted, giving it a great smoky flavor. The bite of pimento cheese and sweet onion jam wasn't super hard, but it had just enough texture to hold up to the smooth spreads. Sweet Potatoes: This was a huge portion of silky roasted sweet potatoes covered in a creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce. The potatoes were very delicious and would have also been great ordered as a side to share between two people. There is a little heat from these, but an added textural element and some acid could have really amplified them. Large Plates: Scallop Ribolitta: This was probably my favorite scallop dish I've had in some-time. At most places, the scallops are scallops + something else like pasta or risotto. This was a fully composed dish where the scallop was the start but not just cooked well and thrown on top of something else. The seasonal vegetables were perfectly cooked, and I loved the slightly fried lacinato kale sprinkled throughout. There was an excellent tangy sauce that just blended everything nicely. I will go back and eat this dish again. Vindaloo Hot Chicken: This was a well-cooked portion of breaded fried chicken, but it was huge. Several tasty elements helped cut the heat of the bird but didn't seem to contribute much to the overall flavor of the bite. Dessert was the beetroot vegan cake and ice cream. To start, I am not usually impressed with vegan desserts. This one also was just OK compared with a non-vegan alternative that I imagined, but there have to be better desserts on the menu as I should have tried their smores dish available that night. We made a reservation for brunch since we were in for the weekend visiting and our friends said the place was new but seemed pleasant. This is far from it. They gave us 3 different menus till they figured out which one we could actually order from, the minimal menu items are all overly cooked, the wait staff is constantly confused, the manager acted like a deer in the headlights with our disappointment in the food and service. Amazing dinner here for my wife's birthday. We started off with the sweet potato appetizer which was unreal good. We had the lamb which was phenomenal and the ricotta dumplings melted in your mouth. The waiter warned us of the odd coloring which was a great idea as it would have been a little odd, once we dove in though all the worries went away, unreal flavor! We also had the wagyu steak which was delicious but a tiny hit overcooked. Fortunately the taste was 10/10 so it didn't hold it back any. I've been three times. First two times the food was amazing. Went last night with a group of six and not one main course was good. They have changed the menu and whatever has changed, the food was extremely bland. Two of us had the mushroom dish and it was very bland. One had the prawns and it was not great. One had the filet and the filet was not good but the potatoes were great. The other two had the hot chicken and a salad. Both were okay. The appetizers were really good and the service was great. They always have a great drink menu. I'll keep going but just for drinks and appetizers. The ambience is amazing. read more

Disappointed! Went for brunch on Mother's Day and it wasn't the experience I expected. We had a late reservation and everything felt rushed....no coffee, no dessert offered, no Mother's Day gift as described, and most off putting setting tables for dinner while we finished eating. If you don't want a late reservation don't take it regardless have a leader onsite to ensure the level of experience A+. I'd score service an D- on the hospitality scale. Food was good but entree was over fussed, having eaten at some of the best, I want delicious food even if it's simple. Likely not going back as other local options are consistently delicious and hospitable. read more

I don't complain & dont don't do reviews but here we go! We had reservations at 6pm - restaurant only had 6 tables with patrons eating. Not crowded. We were sat down and waited 45 minutes and NOBODY ever talked to us or acknowledged us. My wife got up and talked to the host. After that finally at 53 minutes we got water and bread - no apologies or explanation. At the one hour mark we finally got a drink ... at an hour and 15 we got food.. still no explanation or apologies . I just ordered a salad and soup because I was worried about food quality at this point . My wife ordered a steak that was undercooked and they put slab of velveeta nacho cheese on it for some reason. This meal costs us $220 with tip .. We spent almost $1,000 for 2 nights and expected the restaurant to be atleast serviceable .. won't be back to restaurant or hotel... worst service in 32 years my wife and I've been married.. fire eveybody including the manager and start over read more

I attended the fashion show for NWA that stonebreaker hosted yesterday. While the event was a beautiful setup, I did notice some looks of frustration and a little unease from certain members of the staff. The service was great but I asked around my group of friends to see if they noticed what I did as well and they agreed. I believe the person running the event was making her staff uncomfortable and it looked like even some of the people attending the show. I want to say that I saw a lady on the verge of crying after a brief interaction with her. Like I said the event was beautiful and a great atmosphere but I would have a discussion with whoever that lady in charge was on her hospitality. read more

We visited this restaurant last weekend. Beautiful hotel. The restaurant is very new, but the chairs are mega uncomfortable. Waitress was very sweet, but slow service although it was a Saturday night. The pimento cheese dip was good. Wagyu beef dish most of us got was good but not great, but nice presentation. However, I have to say the Lamb Dumplings my daughter got truly looked like one of the most disgusting dishes ever created. She felt sick for two days after eating and our whole table was so disgusted by the presentation of this dish. Waitress also tried to warn her about the dish, as she stated it was "shredded lamb" not regular lamb. It sat in a green puree and truly is worth warning anyone considering this restaurant to never order it. We also had smores dessert which was okay but nothing special. The meal was overpriced, but definitely the worst dining experience I have had in Fayetteville in a very long time. read more

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner for our anniversary. The setting is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. We started at the bar before dining in the restaurant, and drinks were excellent. For dinner, our favorite dishes were the sweet potato small plate and the scallop large plate--both had a stunning presentation and delicious flavors. We enjoyed trying the beet root cake with pandan ice cream inside. The flavor of pandan was new and surprising--it was fun to discover a new flavor profile with this dessert. read more
