I would higher recommend Elle studio to anyone I know looking for a fantastic salon to get very personalized care. I went back again recently and was unable to make it home without 1/2 a dozen complements and an attempt to get a phone number from someone (probably) 10 years my junior. I always look and feel AMAZING when I leave. I first called up Elle studio about a year after getting the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life. I called them and asked if they had someone who specialized in cutting long, curly hair. I was pleasantly surprise to be told Marina, the owner, would be doing it. When I came in she made me feel very comfortable during the consultation. I have EXTREMELY long hair that I am very attached to (think to the hip bones). She was very good about talking about how much we would trim, how we would style, and the color. I know my trims for long hair usually mean a lot more gets taken off but she started with half an inch and kept checking in on me during since she knew what a horrible experience I had at another place last time. Also, she worked with me to come up with an absolutely gorgeous, multifaceted color. Every time I have been there I have been treated very well by all the staff and never felt rushed out the door even though my hair can take longer than others due to the length. I expect to pay a decent price for a color and cut - but I always have to pay extra when I get my hair done due to the sheer fact I am dying 3 feet of hair! Also, they are located in Novi, their pricing is competitive with other salons in the area. Mine has also cost less than a lot of these other reviews have been listing. They use Goldwell dyes; I am impressed how long the color stays in my hair and I get it dyed red of all colors (which fades the fastest). The place is always clean. I'm even surprised by how much Marina remembers about me each time (side note: even doctors ask you personal questions to put you at ease at create a better bond. don't be surprised when your stylist does it too!). Finally, I have moved twice since I started going to Marina but still make the extra drive to stick with Elle. read more

Where as most upper scale salons can make you feel insignificant, and overwhelmed, and even sometimes under dressed...As an elite salon, ELLE has shattered all of those misconceptions. They create trust, compassion, and understanding in every client- to ensure that they embody the expectations that you walk in with. This salon is family owned and operated, with the intention of making everyone who walks through the front door feel like family. Not just the clientele, but the other stylists as well. I love this salon, I wish it would have opened up years ago so I could have saved myself from bad hair experiences of the past! Gjoni, Marina and the entire crew at Elle strive in making sure that you leave not only looking good but leaving with a new set of confidence that other salons in the area lack to offer. From the instant you walk in you are transformed to another place-high energy music, great looking stylists and well put together décor makes one feel as if they are a part of a reality show not simply a client coming to get their hair done. I don't understand the average or negative reviews for Elle Studio!? I have been going to Marina for almost 5 years and am consistently happy with my cut, color, and the general health of my hair - which is a lot to say from a curly haired girl who has had her hair butchered one too many times by unknowledgeable stylists. Marina takes her time to talk to me about what I want and will offer suggestions when she thinks a hair color or cut would be more flattering on me. I have never felt rushed - she always makes sure that I'm happy before stepping one foot out of the salon. I trust Marina so much, I even took my son in for his very first haircut - Marina took her time with him and there wasn't a tear in sight! The staff is beyond welcoming every time I'm there - offering wine, tea, cupcakes and even lunch (what other salon does that!?). And every referral I have sent to the salon has been pleased and is now a regular customer (including my mother-in-law!). As far as pricing goes, I've been to salons all over the country and all over this area - Elle Studio is right on par with a high end salon that provides high end services. I recently moved from Arizona to Michigan and think finding a new hairdresser is the worst part of moving. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to find Marina at Elle Studio. Marina fixed my awful hair color (I had been box dying myself while resisting finding a new hairdresser) and was amazingly friendly and accommodating. The salon is really stylish and beautifully decorated and the staff are lovely. I went back a few weeks later to have my hair and makeup done for my wedding. Marina did just the most amazing up-do and a fantastic job of my makeup. I'm always nervous about having my makeup done as people can go overboard and I wanted to look natural but I loved it. She said she was a perfectionist and she truly was. I have never felt so pretty!! I loved everything about my hair and make-up and everyone at the salon was so nice, professional and talented. I've been seeing Jamie Bradshaw for years now and 7 of them being at ELLE Studio. Not only is Jamie one of the best stylist I have ever gone to, she really takes the time to talk to me and learn about my family/work/etc. she truly cares about making sure I have the best experience and I truly value the time I spend in her chair. She always makes sure my hair is exactly what I'm looking for and offers a great consultive approach when she thinks what I'm looking for might not be the best. ELLE is an amazing salon that really offers their customers a place to escape, relax and leave feeling gorgeous. I began using Elle Salon last year after moving from Grand Rapids. Helene was the first stylist I was setup with and she has been amazing ever since. I needed a color correct first and foremost before I could do anything I actually wanted to with my hair. I am the type to change color and style every time I go in and she is always honest and upfront about what would look best and what would damage my hair the least while getting the look I want. Hello, I've been coming to this salon for over 2 years. Highly talented team and welcoming salon. I don't understand the negative reviews. They have over 30 positive reviews filtered! Mostly all 5 star., Makes you wonder! Anyways, they only use the best products so Goldwell color, Kerastase, Kevin Murphy, O&M and Evo paste (Love it) Anyways get my hair cut by Gjoni. Always with the newest and latest cuts, never same cut twice. They offer Wine, Beer, Coffee, Water, Lunch & etc. There prices are average and I have no problem paying for this service! I have been getting my hair done here for about a year and a half now and could not be happier! They actually care about the health and maintenance of your hair, and they have given me the best products and tips. I actually get many complements on my hair :) It is much healthier and the color is a lot better quality that it was a year and a half ago. On top of it, the entire staff is SO nice and friendly. Living in Shelby Township and driving out to Gjoni every 2-3 weeks - mind you a 1 hour drive - is always worth the drive for his fine hair cuts. I've been doing this for the past 5 years now and do not plan on stopping. The warm hospitable feeling you have when you are in the salon and also great staff on board is a BIG plus too. Elle studio is a great studio from the owners (Marian & Gjoni) to the stylist. I always feel welcomed from the minute I walk in the door till the moment I leave. They are beautiful people inside and out. I have been getting my hair done by Gjoni for 8 years. I'm a blonde and my color looks amazing every time I walk out of that salon. Love this place! I go to Marina since almost 2 years every 3 weeks for color. My hair looks so much better and healthier since I see Marina. She is very listening to what the clients wants and needs and her experience and doing are just wonderful. I bring my kids for cuts too, they love it as well!
