If i could give them no stars i would. To start off i was not greeted at all when i first walked through the door. After about 5 or so minutes of waiting around someone finally came out from the back she looked confused as to why i was there. after explaining that i was in for a haircut and blowdry she still looked puzzled but went into the back to find my stylist. as i was in the chair receiving my service i see the Freda the owner walking around like she was in her living room. she doesnt even do hair there so i find it quite odd that she would be waltzing around the salon like a crazy woman. Once my service was done it was the farthest thing from what i was expecting. the styling was horrible and there were so many products in my hair that by the time i went into my car all i wanted to do was stick my head out of the window in hopes that it would look better. read more

I had my first experience here with Tina last week. What was originally scheduled for a consultation, turned out to be consult straight to cut. Seriously, within 5 minutes I felt comfortable and was in the chair getting my hair washed. The girl can wash, cut, style, and blow hair out like nobody's business. My goodness, I'm not even kidding when I say I have super thick, long, curly hair so I was shocked when I left and realized she did that all in under 35 minutes!! She made it look so easy, but she did say she got a workout from my blowout and decided to skip the gym that day. I would highly recommend this place because it has something for everyone. My previous stylist in AZ set the bar pretty high with my cut, color, and keratin treatments, so I was pretty nervous. But Tina passed the test and I definitely feel comfortable with her now. The service was pretty good, I went on a Thursday morning at around 10 am, and it was nice and quiet. Beth cut my hair and although I don't have any complaints about the cut, the total turned out to be $65 for a trim. Now, I wouldn't mind spending a little more to get a nice haircut, but it was only a small trim, nothing more, and it costed that much. I would come again if it was a lot cheaper, but that much for a slight trim doesn't do it for me. read more

It's a nice, clean, trendy looking salon. I was in desperate need for a new cut. My hair was looking too long and over layered. Kara came to my rescue and gave me a great cut! I wanted bangs and showed a few pics and describe what I wanted. She pretty much understood and it came out great! My hair is now so healthy and versatile for all my needs for different hairdos. I'm rarely happy with any cuts I've experienced at a handful of salons around town but I'm certainly happy with this place. I'll be back when I'm due for another cut. read more

I have been going to Salon FREDA since it opened, and I absolutely love it. I have been a client of 3 of the stylists (Kara, Sammie, and Tina), and all of them are great! I trursted them so much that I had my hair, along with my wedding party, done for my wedding at Salon FREDA. I often don't know exactly what I want done with my hair, so I always require at least a short consultation. The ladies get it right every time. The stylists are very talented, the salon is clean and well decorated, and the overall atomosphere is relaxed but upbeat. I definitely recommend! read more

Where do I start, so I been to countless salon trying to get my hair fixed. First off I want to say I have dark black hair and I was trying to get blonde highlights. I went to couple salons where they told me they can't do it at all, or another salon I went to an the girl bleached my hair for too long n damaged it, so my hair was falling it was dry and it was a mess. I looked up salon Freda an seen how people were raving about Breana, and am I glad I went to see her. She fixed my hair, like it was four different shades but not any more. I was very hesitant about writing this review, but I think most of you will find it very helpful. I had one of the best experiences at Salon Freda the first time I went. Which made going back a second time something I looked forward to. I was looking to get an all over color, darker than what I currently had (which was a darker violet) The stylist went over that she wouldn't be able to color all the purple away and that some would show through, and I understood that. So she started to color, only applying it at the roots and a little beyond, then I sat under the dryer for 20+ minutes while she finished up with her other client. Oh, I forgot to mention my appointment was at 2:30, and she didn't see me until 2:50. so after that time passed she came back, rinsed me and applied the rest of the color to my hair. then I sat for only 10+ minutes this time with that color in all of it. Then the manager came over, saying that she was going to give me a complementary hair mask because of how long it was taking. (honestly it was like 4:45 now) So finally it was time for the blowdry. I made sure I paid close attention incase I saw anything I didn't like with my hair. well of course I did. Where she first did my color from my roots was so much darker than the color in the rest of my hair, I could see the actual line of where the new color ended and I could still see streaks of my old hair color ( I really hope this makes sense). So I pointed it out stating that I am not comfortable leaving the salon with my hair like this, she agrees and goes to mix up more. she ended up fixing it before I left. which I did appreciate so much. but that's besides the point, so I go up front to pay and they give me the price. (oh yeah it's also 6:20 now. Yup! That means I spent 4 HOURS (!!!) there.) And to my surprise it's the same price I had paid last time I got my hair done. but hmm lets see the problem here, last time my hair appointment went perfect, no mistakes or anything, I was so happy with it. so why would I pay the same price when I had to stay 4 hours and was completely not happy with it before having her fix it? Well the manager wasn't there when I left so I called her the day after. I informed her of everything that had happened, including how unhappy I was and unsatisfied. Informing here that I would either like a refund or at least a discount. She then told me that she would not be able to do either because "I should have talked with my stylist about the pricing" my mistake, I always thought the manager could have some say in that. She then also informed me that what I paid was actually lower (lower!!!) than what she would have charged me. Are you kidding me? Really! The conversation went on for a little bit longer, I felt she wasn't listening nor trying to understand where I was coming from. I honestly from the bottom of my heart would not recommend anyone to this salon, extremely poor services, over priced, and very unprofessional. I had my hair and all of my bridesmaids hair styled here for our wedding. Being an out-of-town bride, it was difficult to find a salon that I could trust doing my wedding hair. I called Salon Freda and talked to a very pleasant young lady, which made me excited about booking with Salon Freda. However, when I showed up for my appointment I was less than thrilled with my stylist. She seemed very rushed and did not show me the style until it was all pinned up. I did not like the style at all and did not feel it reflected the pictures I had shown her. I expressed these sentiments to her, and she basically told me she could try to fix it as-is but it was too late to make major changes. When I asked her to pull some pieces down to curl, she said it was also too late to do that. Bottom line is I left the salon not liking my bridal hairstyle (it was not extravagant to begin with) and spent the last hour before my pictures trying to fix it myself. My maid of honor was right there with me re-styling her up-do. Perhaps if you have time to visit the salon for a trial you would have better results, but I didn't really appreciate the service I received on my wedding day. I'm sure they do great work otherwise, but cannot recommend for brides. read more
