Are the bagels at Panera Bread every bit as good as the bagels in the New Jersey and New York area? Not even close. However, to paraphrase Dorothy from the classic movie "The Wizard of Oz," I am not in New Jersey (riffing off of her line "I have a feeling we are not in Kansas.") and if I want a bagel, I have to choose a bagel shop that the area has. Panera Bread does not have terrible bagels, but they're decent enough to satiate the urge for a bagel and a bagel here is significantly better priced can an airplane flight back to New Jersey.
